you're selling your product for forty dollars online and it's like a brown teddy bear and then there's a competitor of yours selling that exact same brown teddy bear because they're using the same manufacturer as you you're both selling the exact identical product for 40 each you're gonna both equally have the exact same cost to get somebody to buy it from you being that but if the other person sells it for 39.99 and you're still selling it for forty dollars this person is allowed to show their ad before you're allowed to show yours so therefore they're gonna have more chances of winning a conversion than you are so therefore it's basically puts people in line so if you all got in line everybody had 40. 41 43 whoever's priced the most is going to be at the very end of line whoever's price the least is going to be at the front of the one but here's the opinion part I don't want it to be 39.99 because I want my business to be perceived as a luxury brand there's the opinion that's just their thought process on how they think people will feel about it the other person says oh I want it to be 39.99 because I want to out price my competitor to get more sales that's still their opinion it's not true that it might actually work or not but when you go to the algorithm you look at the data that is quite literally in their script saying we're going to push advertisers in front of the line to give them first served ads before others if they have a better offer if it's a similar product
