[Music] the lead project connects side business school students and alumni with startup scale ups and smes there are two routes into working with businesses through the libra project they can either work with them in consulting groups or through internships you really get to understand from inside out on how a startup works and you can really feel as a member of their team and how you can help and with your expertise i think the libra project gives a really great opportunity for students to work with other students from the business school as well as alumni that they wouldn't ordinarily have the opportunity to work with consulting groups allow students to work across programs to support businesses in key business needs that are identified so i have been working with petite plea and i helped them with strategic planning to see what is the strategic focus going forward for interns involved in the project they'll work with the businesses full time over the summer for at least six weeks so they'll get to delve even deeper into the business challenges all of these libre project companies are very mission focused and what was great for me was there's this great match where my interest is in sustainability particularly building sustainable materials and there was a company that was going out and doing that and so it was a great match for me rise is an international startup that seeks to show how symptoms appear in different skin tones i was hoping that going into the project that we would be able to get help on how to run our non-profit organization it actually exceeded my expectations i think without the help of of the team and with the students i think it would have taken us a year to try and figure out how do i create my board how do i look at my growth strategy so it has really saved us a lot of time and lift us forward so we can now hit the ground running i think it's been really great in terms of thinking about how i want to build my career going forward and that if you're a student who wants to take your mba and help in solving really tough tricky problems that the world needs to solve then the libra project is a great way to get your foot in the door and to start doing that [Music]
