this is frank kern today we're going to talk about this really crazy indoctrination strategy indoctrination sounds so weird let me make sure everything's working okay i think it is looking on the other monitor indoctrination sounds so weird sounds so sinister but it's basically like just a marketing way of saying how to cause prospects to know you like you and trust you and realize that you can in fact help them so the old way of doing this let's see if this uh all this stuff's gonna work here i think it is okay the old way of doing this stuff is you would like get somebody to opt in come on man you get somebody to opt in you know and this still works by the way so like to call it the old way doesn't mean that it doesn't necessarily work um i should probably take on screen how to use the miro board lessons all right good lord that's going to drive me crazy okay so the only way to do this man was you would like run an ad or whatever and you drive people to an opt-in page right and then you would send them a series of videos assuming they opted in right you'd send them a series of videos and each video would build more value and like kind of like a typical product launch you know and uh finally after they watched all of those they would go to a sales page right and like that's been really awesome and that still works and it's worth doing and there's nothing wrong about it so there's not like a yeah but here okay this is a very solid approach the challenge in my opinion is now that we're in you know 2021 we've got this situation where people's attention is super fragmented so this methodology right here this like depends on them coming and checking their email and actually opening it and reading it and clicking on it you know so if we sort of adopt this belief that in order for them to buy at the end of a sequence like this you know that they need to have seen all of those videos then we can sort of be in trouble not because there's anything wrong with this strategy real word all right but because like times have done changed and not everybody's reading all their emails and therefore they're not all going to go to these videos but okay we can recreate this entire situation on social media um we can do it on on the on the fb and on the yt and on ig and we can do it without them ever having to opt in it's pretty cool and i've been testing it and it's working even though i've been testing it in the dumbest and like most stupid way possible but i was in a hurry and something done poorly that gets pretty good results is better than waiting forever to do it perfectly so i'll walk you through what i'm doing okay let's see here click that button all right we're back to the other page so you guys have probably heard me talk about intent-based branding before this is similar to that in nature it's just a lot more um strategic all right so here we go um you are now inside of my facebook account and i'm just doing this for the past three days because i didn't track things properly until like three days ago because i screwed up that never mind it's not my fault i blame russell brunson and the in the rap music i like rap music i'm just going to blame it okay because i'm getting older and i feel like that's what i should be doing so i didn't track things right up until like the weekend so that's why i'm doing it for this date range so what we have right here these are video views campaigns where like both of these incidentally they're showing the same video to complete strangers um don't know why it's got all of these are the only uh these are the only ads that are active so hang on i clicked the wrong damn thing here we go sorry these two are showing one video to two separate audiences all right so one show on the video to people who like infusionsoft one showing the video to people who like russell it's the same video which is this one all right so there's like really nothing particularly crazy about this other than this is a 38 minute video i know why would anybody in their right mind watch me seriously look at this they have to this is what these poor people have to endure because they have to sit here and watch this come on oh here we go they have to watch this thing just me at a desk talking about ad angles for 38 minutes it's horrible why would anybody do that but they do and so i'm i'm happy they do very grateful indeed really that they do so this is like strangers right and so it's the same video i'm just targeting one of them's targeting people who like russell right here um and one of them is targeting people who like infusionsoft and it's just people in like america and a couple other countries all right so i'm spending a pretty good bit of money on these you know not a ton but whatever and some people like actually finish the whole dang video which is unbelievable to me okay so that's great now what i've done here is i've set it up to where if anyone watches uh it's called a through play you know on your facebooks so if anybody watches like 15 seconds all the way you know between 15 seconds and all 38 minutes of this thing i'm gonna start retargeting them but i'm gonna do it with a little bit of strategery okay so this is where this becomes pretty neat in my opinion all right and of course i'm gonna think it's cool because i'm doing it hang on i'm on my other screen i want to bring up these other uh campaigns for you and okay so check this out this one rachel this oh probably would help if i put it on my computer okay so this campaign right here this is the one i want to show you basically here's how this works all right anyone who watches those first videos that are shown to total strangers now remember the whole strategy is like take total strangers if they engage in my stuff now i'm going to start retargeting all right so anyone who watches that they're going to see this particular video right here okay and this particular one is a come on and this is like uh let's see six and a half minute video of me talking about something called situational indicators which it's a pretty good video by the way it's good information all right and so anyone who watches 15 seconds of that one what we'll do is we remove them so i'm not going to show it to them again and then i'm going to show them video number three and video number three is let me get that out of there there we go okay so video number three right here is this one all right and so this is a little bit different okay this is four minutes and 59 seconds and this is just me it's all content you know and if i was doing this right i would actually be driving people to our roast.org page by doing stuff like this like having the oh it didn't work nevermind hang on let's see if i can make that work ah still didn't work i'm trying to make the cool graphic pop up on the video but whatever i'm not that good at video editing yet okay so anyway i'm doing this wrong but it's still working pretty good these videos these ads here let me bring it back to you these ads should be sending people to roaz.org but they're sending people to my book the reason why is i just didn't feel like redoing the ads they're old ads i didn't want to mess with them so i was like to hell with it i just want to see what will happen you know so back to the campaign okay and i know i'm kind of all over the place but it's the end of the day give me a break um i'm done i got tired all right so they watch that one and then you know they eventually they'll come to this thing where they're starting to see longer live streams that i have repurposed as ads so you might recognize some of these this is like when i'm going live you know i'm now repurposing them as these types of ads and in these these are all like super long these are basically me teaching people well i guess it won't be cool and let us browse through this video but this is just me teaching people like how to do cool stuff but it is pitching roast.org and so roast.org is my company where we will build campaigns for you we'll do your marketing for you we'll optimize your funnel for you or we'll train someone on your team to do all that kind of stuff so the end goal of this whole thing here all right this whole little um series of videos is this i want a perfect stranger i don't know why it's oh here we go sorry there we go i want a perfect stranger to end up watching one two three four videos and then each one of these is now pitching romaz.org now if i was doing it right they would all be pitchingroas.org i did these were just old videos i was in a hurry i didn't feel like remaking the ad i was like i'll just put something up okay now this is what's crazy these are set as video views ads these are not conversion objective ads it's just purely like just content but i was thinking hey maybe i don't know maybe some people will go and they'll you know like book appointments or something and uh what do you know they actually did all right and so the tracking's a little bit off on here but let me show you so these are the only ones that like actually tell people to go and i have the wrong oh i should probably put the probably put it on the screen there sorry here we go all right these are the only ones right here that actually tell people to go to rawas.org and so it's showing me that i've already gotten one lead from it now what's weird is it actually showed me the other day that i had more but for whatever reason it's just being sketchy see i didn't track it right but essentially what we've had now see where where's counting these leads is i've had five people as a result of landing on these just straight up video views campaigns go to roast.org fill out the thing and schedule an appointment with us and getting somebody to do that is is you know usually pretty costly so if i'm looking at this number here it's going to be a little bit uh inflated so we were actually spending a little bit less and what's cool about this is i'm totally cool with paying 300 bucks to get somebody to do this you know i'm fine with it and what's really interesting is this isn't a conversion objective ad it's a video views ad and the reason i'm sharing this with you is because i i keep thinking in my mind like okay i know people are freaked out about like you know what if you can't do cookies and what if you can't do um you know conversion tracking and all this stuff anymore so i built this whole campaign without any conversion objectives at all to see if it would still get leaves and it does so the strategy works really really well um even poorly executed we've we've gotten more appointments than it's showing from it because again you know somebody i don't know who it was didn't set up the tracking right it was me i broke it and um it's working pretty cool so essentially what we've got here is a situation where people are systematically going through a series of like seven videos now that are doing the oldest trick in the book which is to demonstrate that you can help them by actually helping them and it's working well you can use the same strategy on the youtubes you can use it on instagram only but your videos have to be shorter and you can use it on facebook i suggest you use it on all of them and uh that's my little trick for today delivered like kind of kind of poorly taught because it's late and i haven't eaten and my brain is fried but i wanted to get this to you because it's cool so hope you enjoyed that uh thanks y'all for your um uh thank you all for your your kind words here um so funny there's every time i do these live streams there's somebody that's always like trying to pitch bitcoin and it's a fake profile with me so it's not me i don't know anything about bitcoin and i'm not trying to sell you any so please ignore those i have no idea how that works i guess it's a bot or something that does this but whatever do whatever you want to do with bitcoin but it's not coming from me all right i don't know anything about it but i do know about ads and this strategy is working pretty good and you might want to knock it off and give it a shot because hey you know it's working all right if i can figure out how to turn this off we'll do it i think
