about to start officially it's always weird going live on two platforms now YouTube I'm looking at you right now I'm not on Facebook yet but I'm going to have to make eye contact with this stuff uh with both cameras which will be kind of weird you know and um I'm going to show my screen a lot but I can't do it on Youtube it'll only work on Facebook so if you want to see the screen uh go over to real quick in this uh little update we're going to talk about an overlooked thing that can make you a fortune it's all part of The intent-based Branding strategy and if you want a deeper dive of what you saw that little chunk right there you're probably watching this after I recorded it live I'm doing this live on H Facebook double streaming YouTube as a matter of fact it's about 4:20 something on um just got a weird text from Uber there about 42 something on uh what's today Tuesday the 22nd of January there and if you saw that first little clip there something little interesting to share with you before we get going um all right so when you're going live typically you know I'll get like a hundred or so people will watch uh when I'm live and then the majority of the views come in after so this little video If we don't advertise it within 24 hours it'll be seen by a couple thousand people well um we did a little digging hey all you guys on Facebook by the way I see you over there on the other monitor um we did a little research yesterday this is pretty cool and we learned that after the fact after you go live you know a lot more people see your stuff and in the first uh usually about in the first 10 seconds or so most of them leave all right which is pretty normal you know they're just browsing around messing around on Facebook so if you caught that little little blurb there for Frank Kern class or rather just Kern class.com got to get my URLs right um if you caught that little blurb for current class.com immediately when I went live that's actually for people that tune in after the fact I want to get their attention and get them to take some action in that first 10 seconds so just learn that yesterday and uh we'll see how that does in terms of driving traffic to the core offer so anyway now that folks are here and all of that kind of stuff let's get cracking uh amazed that people are joining in on on YouTube because you guys had to watch me set all this stuff up on YouTube that had to have been horribly boring so Facebook if you see me looking away I'm trying to make ey cont with YouTube as well so here's what this video is about there's a little overlooked thing uh that I think can make you a fortune and the reason I think it can make you a fortune is because of uh this I'm going to share my screen with you real quick um right now and let's see here y'all should see my screen over there on Facebook YouTube sorry um you know I can't stream it over to YouTube simultaneously I'll upload an edited version of this to YouTube later um have a look at this all right so is that the one yeah so what you see on the screen there I'll zoom in for you if you're watching this because I know it's probably weird looking on Facebook um these are all the sales from my bookfunnel uh this just from posting on social media and it's from December 1st until January 13th the reason I cut it off at January 13th clearly we're making this today it's the 22nd of January is we started sending ad traffic to this funnel 2 after the 13th so it's like okay it's not going to count it's pure organic but this number you see right here $9,200 uh in sales that came just from organic social media posts and so I I think I've kind of made the point a lot here lately during my videos that Dude using like social media actually works but there's got to be a framework to it all right and I'll tell you the framework in a minute and by the way everything I'm talking about the strategy is called intent based branding if you want a deep dive of how it works learn about split screen this boom there we go Facebook YouTube is probably kind of anti-climatic but on Facebook you can see me splitting the screen you know um the over thing that can make you a fortunate is this idea of building up an audience all right so um I I titled this video at least on Facebook uh how to sell a ton of stuff without email and man I'm about to show you now it might get a little boring because I'm going to show you numbers and stuff but social media is crushing email in terms of traffic and sales so check this out all right on Friday what was Friday the 18th let me pull this up for you I'm going to switch back back Facebook I'm going to switch you back to full screen uh mode here in a minute so you can really see this stuff so hang on here all right come on go solo there we go all right I'll zoom in for you as well Oh wrong wrong browser zooming inang come on there zoom in all right check this out come on man okay so look at this on Friday I sent out it was the 18th I think that was Friday when um I sent out this uh broadcast to my email list and it was just like hey I posted a video for on YouTube go look at it right so there's nothing to to do you know like here's the copy so the email subject line was what I learned spying on Gary ve and Grant Cardone and the uh the that was the subject line and as you can see the email is like hey go watch this video just a video on YouTube all right so it's been today is the 22nd it's been what is that four days this thing it's taken four days for it to get a th clicks from that one email and this is a list of 76,000 people most of them are book buyers all right and so you would think that'd do pretty good because it's not you know it's not a giant list but it's not like a Hu it's not a tiny little list or anything so a th000 clicks I'm grateful to have the clicks have a look at this all right so took me 19 years to figure out how to do this and kind of know how to do it so what I'm about to share with the guys on Facebook y'all on YouTube can't see this is um it's not my analytics where here we are my Google analytics all right oh now we're getting dorky we're going in analytics mode here okay but check this out um let's look at the traffic that I got from social all right so I got a th people I emailed 76,000 people I got a th000 visitors and let's just do the 18th which is when I sent that broadcast to today the 22nd and let's just look at the bookfunnel all right so right here from ads 3,400 so clearly we're not going to count those so the total amount of visitors 4900 visitors all right 34 of those 3400 of them so here let me just do the math 4900 minus 3,00 3417 that's 1,483 visitors from social media to my bookfunnel all right because I'm just taking that 4900 in and removing the ones that came from ads but all my social media posts don't just go to the bookfunnel in fact um they go to something else which is the uh thing where you could talk to Tyler to learn about my branding class right so I look at that same date range check this out 1,136 additional people came from social now we did have a little bit of ads traffic here so it was 105 so that's we'll just say it's 11 or it's a thousand people so now between the bookfunnel and social we got double what we had an email why it's because I have an audience all right and that's the big thing I want to share with you here let me bring myself back on the screen there sorry if that's hard to read by the way here let me Zoom back out on here sorry guys not technically Savvy you know man look I'm as pale as like as I can be in this lighting here but whatever um there we go back to me and look at this we'll show the Curr class.com domain look at that that's fancy all right so here's the deal the thing that's overlooked is something called an audience all right and here's what an audience means an audience is somebody who has or a group of people obviously who have watched your content whether it's on Facebook LinkedIn YouTube Instagram doesn't matter podcast whether they've watched your content a or they've clicked a link from your content b or they have made a comment on your content C or they have liked it uh D or they have shared it with somebody and they don't have to like it they could just do any like reaction to it at all so all of that stuff causes somebody to be in an audience for you it's called an Engaged person all right so someone's engaged they're in your audience all right now have a look at this okay so I've been going uh making Facebook posts a lot since December 1st so we're what like six weeks in seven weeks and now and I've been doing something uh kind of behind the scenes here all right so I got to share my screen with you for a minute here me remove this URL by right now I'm just kind of trying to share with you like it's the audiences man like this is way bigger than email now this is the new direction of marketing so have a look at this all right back to the story I'll share my screen with you I should do it in a minute um let me pull this up for you before I do there we go so I've been posting stuff on on Facebook like just organic content and everything going live a lot and then reusing those lives there more content and everything uh for about seven weeks all right now let me share my screen with you and show you something cool okay so I'm going to have to zoom in on this for you I think because I'm looking over there on the other monitor and it looks like it's kind of hard to read so hang on I'll see if I can pull this in a little bit more for you YouTube you guys that are watching sorry you can't see the screen but I'm doing this from my phone on YouTube um all right so have a look at this guys over here on the screen what I've what I've got here as a as an audience and I've basically said all right Facebook what I want you guys to do is take anyone who's watched 10 seconds of my Facebook lives over the past 30 days and I want I want you to put them in an audience and check it out there 160,000 people that have watched 10 seconds and then was like all right let's take uh let's take everyone who's watched 10 seconds in the past seven days and put them in an audience and it is now 43,000 people right which is crazy and then it's um let's take anyone who's watched 10 seconds of any video on Facebook not just the lives over the past seven days and put them in an audience that's 53,000 people in that audience all right and then like what about the ones who are like really watching a lot of stuff so we created an audience of people who watch 25% of Ting my Facebook lives over the past 30 days is 26,000 people dude my email list is only 76,000 people my audience just on Facebook alone not of like fans and all that crap that doesn't mean anything um but of people that are actually watching stuff there's 160,000 people that have watched at least 10 seconds not definitely watch 10 seconds and left but watched at least 10 seconds 26,000 people that watched at least 25% man these things are on average like 15 minutes that's a lot of content they're consuming and it's not just Facebook if you have it on YouTube you can actually go and create an audience of everybody who's watched any of your stuff over x amount of time and it's awesome I have one on YouTube let's see if I can pull it up here all right let's see if I can figure out how to do this um let's see I'm going to go into my uh my YouTube ads campaigns right here and let's see I'm kind of new to all this stuff but I did the same thing in here I'm going to do audience manager and let's just have a look here come on all right so Facebook YouTube you're probably just bored out of your mind you're just watching me look at my computer right now all right so let's see here I'm going to find them and give you the audience size on YouTube as well because you know social media isn't just Facebook right so watched any video over the last 30 days no that's clearly not it um where the heck is it man you see if I was not doing trying to do this live I'd probably be better at it contains the word watched oh maybe viewed yeah let's see maybe that's the one that I'm looking for where are you get rid of that filter okay something something yeah look viewed any video from my YouTube channel in the last seven days 6,200 all right awesome viewed any video on my page in the last 72 hours 2,200 that's an audience that's someone who's really really engaged did it over the last uh 14 days that's broken all right so that's not right there um and I think I have one over the last 30 days as well somewhere but I don't quite really know how I'm doing all of this kind of stuff so I'm clearly a newbie at it right um regardless dude these audiences this is the overlooked thing right your content here's what's interesting now let me come back to me all right and sorry that uh it's so small there you know the type is so small on the page sorry I look like a ghost with the lighting here let me see if I can fix that a little better that's a little bit better okay here's the deal the content that you put out on social media this is important and guys I know I'm getting kind of techy with you right now and hopefully it's not too boring for you um so I'll get non- techy in a minute actually let's officially stop being techie all right so the content that you put out on social now that's really the new optin form and the audience that's really the new email list like you just saw the comparison right my email list is made up of mostly buyers and there now 76,000 people because I keep like just leading people who don't open or click or whatever like what's the point of having them so I just sort of get them off the list so the 76,000 people those are the ones who were left that generated a thousand visitors since the 18th social media organic stuff generated double that since the 18th right which is freaking amazing so it's clearly way bigger so the the the question becomes well how do you build an audience right so there's two things you need to understand number one is when you put out content and someone engages with it whether they watch it or whatever the definition of Engagement is it depends on what the network is that Network whether it's face Facebook LinkedIn whatever it'll add people to a damn audience for you that you can deliberately advertise to or whatever so that's thing number one so just the act of them engaging now opts them in now granted you don't own it like you would own an email list but email lists are just getting less and less valuable anyway so what's the point of trying to build this thing that's not going to be useful to you down the line right um but when you do have an audience you can advertise to them number one number two anyone who is engaged with your stuff you're going to see or they're going to see your stuff more often right so if you guys like I'm looking over here on Facebook and i' I'd be curious to know right so on Facebook um how much are you guys seeing my stuff now because like if you're watching this live you know so just type in like a lot or a little or or whatever that would be awesome um if you're watching this live let me know if you're seeing my stuff all the time right and and then additionally let me know if you're seeing it more now than you used to see it right let's say then you saw it say in November or months prior to December all right so I'll just kind of look there's a little bit of a dang delay here so usually it takes like 30 seconds or so for people to actually uh actually answer the question so I'll look at some of the questions here uh Daniel Atkins asked what software am I using to show my screen and stuff it's something called belive.tv b i v e.tv yeah the oh yeah look at that okay so yeah like Daniel saying he's saying every day Matthew saying he's seeing my stuff way more Brian NE is saying he sees it every hour of the day Oscar Tang is saying he's seeing it always Cheryl was saying she's seeing it more now it's not because I'm putting more content out there it's because you guys watched it and engaged with it and the more someone engages with your stuff the more they will see your stuff because all of these social media networks they're driven by an algorithm which is a fancy you know program stuff I don't really know what an algorithm means you know but it's driven by like a bunch of computers and that's the Georgia way of explaining it and what their computers and do is they say all right that dude watched your stuff let's keep showing them more of your stuff he obviously likes it otherwise he wouldn't watch it because the name of the game on social media networks is engagement right so the more engagement you have the more people that it shows and have a have a little Ponder on this all right it doesn't matter how many fans or followers you have so that's a big block for a lot of people they're like dude I don't you know I mean of course people see your stuff you have a lot of fans and followers or whatever that is meaningless um when Facebook or YouTube or whatever shows your stuff to existing followers it's called organic reach just when we're done here go Google social media organic reach and you're going to see stuff where it says organic reach is dead it's no longer valuable it means nothing and that's true so just because you have a lot of fans and stuff it doesn't mean they're going to see it and just because you don't have a lot of fans doesn't mean your stuff isn't going to be seen like the fan number is a total vanity number now it means absolutely nothing the thing that drives everything is something called engagement and I'll tell you an interesting story um I just wrapped up an eight-week program with something I called scaling groups I had these two small groups of five people and it was pretty expensive it was about 10 grand and I worked with them in small groups every week for eight weeks to help them scale their business it was a great experiment it was awesome and one of the dudes is this guy named Ronin who lives in Australia austa and he started um we's see it wasn't uh it wasn't Ronin I'm sorry it was my man Vos Graham it was uh Vos Graham is a fella and um he does Consulting and stuff and he had a business page and he had a personal page like everybody and the personal page had a couple thousand people and then he had a business page and the business page had like a couple hundred people and I was like dude you need to put um you need to start making content and putting it on your business page so he's been doing that like for the past nine days or something maybe longer right but not like forever and not a ton of content he was giving a Stats today during our call and he only had a couple hundred followers and Facebook is showing his stuff to two times as many people as he had followers and every time he's going and putting out content is getting seen by more and more people so what this tells us is the amount of followers means nothing it's once somebody engages Facebook algorithm will do two things it'll start showing that person your stuff more often and it'll start showing your stuff to more people like that person because the name of the game for any of these social networks is engagement if someone's engaged they're staying on the platform longer which means they're going to see more ads which is all really well and good and awesome my stuff is now up to 400% more engagement and uh and and viewership than I have fans and followers which is crazy right so it'll show my stuff to like a million people over the month but I've only got 200,000 something alleged fans and followers I don't even think that really means anything anymore so it has never a matter of like uh how many fans and followers you have now if you want to know how to do this stuff this the big picture strategy I'm talking about I know I'm getting like kind of granular on it with you but this is just so freaking cool you know but the big picture strategy is a method called intent-based branding that's how like when I showed you that $90,000 figure from December 1st to the 13th of January all of that is from organic social media posts the method that I'm using is something called intent based branding if you want a deeper dive overview on it I've posted a video for you on Kern class.com uh I put it on the screen I think is it on the screen man I I think it is let's see yep it's on the screen there hot damn um it's on the screen so just go to Kern class.com and you can just watch it it's there on the page and you'll see it it'll tell you about the class that we're teaching that class starts on February 4th you need to be in it because this stuff works here's the bottom line All Right audience that's the Overlook thing building an audience when you build an audience audience you've got these people that whenever you put out content they're way more likely to see it they're way more likely to see it more often and that audience will start to grow exponentially as long as you continue putting out content because of the way engagement works so you guys like when you guys comment on this stuff or whatever what happens is your friends like Facebook will put out a little notification not everybody sees it of course but your friends will see it and they'll say like hey Bob liked this guy Frank Kern's video and then you know enough times Bob's gonna go wonder what this video is all about and he's goingon to go watch it and then if Bob likes it then all of his friends are going to see a notification that says Bob like this dude's video and then now they're going to find out about it so the viral effect is still real it's not as you know big and crazy as you would think it's not like you put one post out and then like a thousand million people are going to see it I mean that conceivably could happen but not really but that's how this stuff is growing that's why uh my man Voss you know he has more people seeing his stuff than he has followers it's because of that very thing so when you have that engagement Facebook shows not just Facebook but you know social media networks in general show your stuff more often to the people who engaged a b it'll just start showing it to more people and C it'll start showing it to the Friends of those people because they come back as a result of seeing that their friend engaged with it so it's really freaking powerful right so if we understand like ultimately what I'm saying is we should be posting a lot right like it works and if we take that as as a true statement the question becomes well what do you say like what what should the posts be about so the every post no matter what it needs to do three things number one provide value number two build Goodwill number three make an offer all right I'll make one right now it's real simple hey if you like this stuff stuff I'm teaching you is something called intent based branding there's a deeper dive video of it uh on current class .c and if you go there you can see it that was the offer right so nothing hard nothing crazy not being obnoxious and not pitching right just simple offer now if you do that consistently here's what's going to happen you're going to get a lot of traffic to the offer whether the offer is like hey I got a free webinar for you or go get my book or go watch this video like whatever it is or just call my office it doesn't matter if you keep putting the stuff out there you're going to get so much traffic to your offer way more than you ever thought and things are probably going to go pretty good now you want to know another crazy Discovery have you noticed it would take a lot so I won't be offended if you haven't noticed but you might now notice that the domain names I'm using whether I'm sending people to my book Frank Curr book.com or I'm sending people this video which is current class.com or I'm sending people to apply to talk to my offer which is or talk to my office which is branding call.com if you notice all those domains are really really easy to remember check this out all right going to go back into analytics now but I won't be too techy and too dorky about it okay I just want to show you something cool all right so let's come over here going to enlarge this screen and I'm going to show the screen again to my homies all right sorry YouTube I don't know how to do it with YouTube yet okay I'll get that thing off of the screen there there we go okay try to enlarge the screen for you a little bit so you can see look at this okay what we have here is the traffic sources of people that are going to um this is Brandon call.com so traffic sources of people going to branding call we have Facebook organic that's like this stuff right look at the second one it says direct and none you know what that is that's people remembering that domain name and typing it in so they're not even clicking on anything so that's why I've got these domains I recommend you do the same thing for your offers something that's really easy to remember like really really basic like Kern class.com because people will hear that and they'll just type it in and they'll just go and look it's the only thing that's outpacing it is direct referrals from organic traffic all right it's second in the race of how much traffic is coming in check this out if you want to see like even more we'll do it for the book which is crazy all right and this is just from the 18th so it's not all time it's just from the 18th 583 folks in the past what 4 days have been typed in Frank Kern book.com 300 something have done branding call.com don't know how many yet for Kern class.com it's not done setting it up right so that typend traffic is uh is Bonkers and it's it's a direct effect of just going on social media making that offer with a really easy to use domain so here's like three things you can take from this whole uh kind of admittedly rambling video that I've made for you today right number one holy crap this stuff works right I mean the dude we sold $90,000 in the bookfunnel our branding class is up to $248,000 in Revenue so if we put all those together now it's like getting pretty close to 350 Grand in sales revenue just from organic social media posts like this one although admittedly this one's a little bit scattered so that's thing number one this works all right strategy is called intent-based branding go to Kern class.com look at the 20- minute overview of how to do it if you're interested in learning it so that's thing number one thing number two audiences baby when people watch your stuff they put it in audience that's infinitely more powerful than email I just showed you the stats right I mean the email I sent my list wasn't like hey go buy my stuff it was literally I made this video for you it's on YouTube here it is that got a thousand clicks traffic from social media organic free not not even including ads it was 200% higher right crazy and I just started building the audience in December which is awesome so thing number three is audiences thing number four is the content you need to put out there it just needs to deliver values best you can always try to be helpful build that Goodwill and then make an offer and I demonstrated how to make an offer like several times today right it's not like hey go buy this stuff or anything it's like you go to a really easy remember website and check it out right and then thing number five is if you make your website that you're talking about memorable big shocker to me people will remember the damn site and just type it in and go to it and not like even click on anything so we're getting you know I mean that's like the the number number one in some cases and number two traffic source is people literally hearing me say it in a video like this or seeing hearing me say it in an Instagram video or on my podcast or whatever and literally typing it in and buying stuff huge right so the the big thing right now it's audiences Overlook thing no one's thinking about it they're thinking build a list that's great that's adorable build a list if you want to no one's going to be opening the emails here in like two more years right the real money isn't an audience okay that's the magic and the way you build it is like is being super cool and help F to people it's awesome big picture strategy once again it's called intent-based branding we've been testing it since July with paid ads spent good Lord probably half a million dollars and paid ads trying this stuff out just dawned on me in December maybe I'll start doing it just by posting stuff without paying for it boom blew the doors off of it could not believe it right that's what that video was all about on Kern taking advantage of this sooner because it's not like social media just got invented right it's just I just had my head up my ass and was like oh it's dumb it's only for Kardashians or whatever and meanwhile all these people made a fortune and you know what I thought okay if you're going to do it on social you got to be fancy you know because Gary ve stuff is like really badass looking Grant Cardone stuff is super fancy we tested you're never going to believe it the non-fancy stuff didn't work as well or rather the fancy stuff didn't work as well as the non-fancy like we I spent a lot of money and had people like take my old lives and everything and like put b-roll and make them look beautiful and everything they didn't get nearly as much traffic as engagement as just taking the stuff and putting it up there just old Franken t-shirt or whatever you know and then like I might take this video and edit the dumb stuff out and repost it later and that's crushing the fancy stuff right so man don't let this don't let this pass you by this is a big deal test this stuff out in your business and if you go and you try it like today and like not a lot happens in the next 24 hours that's normal the name of this game is consistency right so like and the name of the game is momentum so when you start doing it a lot you'll notice just like we do like you just get all this momentum like people are just remembering you know Kern class.com right now they're just remembering Frank Kern book.com and they're just going there and they're buying stuff anyway if you go to Kern class and watch that video you'll see the numbers from where I stopped promoting one thing and started promoting another and the thing that I wasn't promoting anymore it was still working like I'll show you the popped up on your homepage on YouTube I'll be damned how does that even happen who knows right check this out so we we uh run a little bit of YouTube ads um yeah nothing too crazy uh but you know I'm trying to figure it out and this it's pretty close to working you know I'm like it's been a Couple Grand and got well that's not true I spent like 50 Grand uh testing it and that totally didn't work and now I figured out a different way of testing in it's weird sorry about that um so anyway excluding ads we're getting about a thousand YouTube views a day just to like this totally you know not particularly fancy content so posting A lot's pretty good I sure do appreciate you all watching and uh I'll I'll try to figure out how to like share the screen on YouTube and actually figure out how to simoc cast it's been a little hectic over here but I promise to do better in terms of like going Live on YouTube and making it a little bit more engaging where you can see the all the other stuff everybody else sees you know I just have to figure out the tech stuff so if anyone knows how to do that I've tried wirecast I break it and um that other one OB platform thing like kind of is beyond me as well but we'll crack it man I appreciate you all being here all right let's see here I'm trying to figure out how to end this thing oh I guess

About Frank Kern:
Frank Kern started as a door-to-door salesman for credit card processing systems, in Macon, GA. He experienced a lot of rejection. All the while, he was living in a single trailer, eagerly anticipating moving up into a double-wide. Around this time, he borrowed some Tony Robbins tapes (Personal Power) from his step-father, and started to formulate the mindset that would soon see him making his way to the top of the Internet Marketing industry.
Shortly thereafter, he started learning about making money online. He bought a $297 course on how to make money online from the late Cory Rudl and implemented it and he did see some success and felt encouraged.
Frank Kern hired an author to write a "Teach your parrot to talk" book. After doing some keyword research he discovered that the market was big. He also heard of a guy who was doing the same thing profitably offline so he wrote the ad in advance, promising everything a parrot owner could want. Then he hired a writer to fulfill all those promises and point out the unrealistic ones.
It cost Frank Kern $650 to hire the writer. Frank built a $3,000/month income stream from this eBook alone. He then said to himself: "What other pets are out there?"
Frank Kern had worked with dogs in the past, and realized that dogs respond well to positive reinforcement. So Frank created a course, where he could automatically create a different web site for every different breed of dog ( approximately 600). He ran ads for each breed of dog, offering the same book with 600 different web sites - one per dog breed. This business launched in 2005 and went on to make sales of over $1 million in 2006. A simple approach, that scaled up exponentially.
Frank Kern found that he really enjoyed showing other entrepreneurs how to make money online so he sold the dog business after 2 years, and focused on teaching people to make money online.
