what's happening everybody happy Friday to you it's about 8 o' 8 in the evening on Friday 8 in the evening eastern time hope everybody's doing well I'm wondering if this thing is uh is working I think it probably is let's see if your old boy Frankie can put something in the comments here for us doesn't look like I can well I was going to type a URL in there but that's all right um okay let's get cracken let's see I'm I'm once again by the way I believe simultaneously broadcasting to uh the Facebooks and the YouTubes at the same time using yeah looks like I am hot diggity look at there using a really cool app called streamyard uh.com and it is integrated with something called restream.io and that's allowing us to double broadcast right now which is just ridiculous um in in in the cool sense of the word uh let's see here you know I'm trying to send you guys a a URL somebody do me a favor type in HTTPS uh col learnwith kar.com so basically without the www I'm trying to put it in a u put it in how do you say in English there in a comment for you to click on and it doesn't want to do right uh for me we just set up the domain and just tweaked it uh so learnwith kar.com if you go to that site and it's weird just put https colon in front of it no www and that should do it all right so really cool uh really cool day today by the way so amazed that this stuff appears to be working by the way let's check restream.io I think we're good I believe we're good uh maybe maybe with the YouTubes I don't know hard to tell could be funky says it's sending data but hard to tell with YouTube whatever let's get to work okay so really cool week uh really cool day last two days we've been uh in meetings with private clients my private client group and um Private Client group is cool if uh if you've got a business that's doing seven figures or more and you want to scale and you want to simplify your life and your business uh check it out you would want to go to Frank kar.com that's my name.com and click on a link there that says Private Client group and you can read all about that um but I did something for the first time in the group today uh because we got a lot of work done really quickly so today being the second day of our two-day meetings we were able to um kind of relax a little bit you know and uh I was like hey you know the pressure's off we achieved all of our missions let's just kind of hang out so I started asking the folks everybody there seven figure entrepreneur very successful all the way from like a tax preparation attorney to um uh the Home Services Company another fellow was in the the marketing of sophisticated downloadable apps you know and um uh you know like legitimate like real businesses and then weirdos like us you know internet people um software as a service guys like the whole thing was really really cool so I was wondering you know if we could find some commonalities between these entrepreneurs so I asked them two questions I want to go over their answers with you because I think it's interesting and um here are the the the questions so the first question was oh hang on this is the downstairs guy telling me that my dinner's here hang on oh I hit decline instead of answer crap all right that's probably gonna come back just calling me from my iPad crazy all right so the first question was what do you uh think the single most important skill that you have developed is that has gotten you where you are today remember these are all seven figure folks and that was the the question number one like hey what's the one thing that you would attribute you know more than others as being like the driver of your success in terms of a skill not a mindset but like an activity all right and I'm curious as I'm giving you their answers I'm curious to know your answers so if you would type it in the comments that would be great because I think there's something to learn by seeing like what everybody's one single biggest skill is because my belief is there's going to be a a trend somewhere and we might be able to to say oh well you know according to this data which admittedly will be largely anecdotal um we don't have to learn seven million skills we probably have to learn like two or three so here they are all right and I won't use names I'll just kind of Say by occupation all right so software developer dude he said a single greatest skill was the develop the ability to generate leads through direct response advertising uh so that was that was he's like dude that one thing changed the game for me and that was pretty interesting all right now real estate dude number one his single grade of skill um it was his ability to see what was working for somebody else to reverse engineer what was working for somebody else and then to model it right so look what's working for like dude number a a is now a number then reverse engineer exactly what it is they're doing and then model what is they're doing and apply it to his business which I thought was very very um interesting and let's see man I know there's got to be a way I can type in the comments to you guys but I just don't see it here on streamyard it is probably user error it's probably me doing it wrong but damn it I want to type something will you guys do me a favor I've got new stuff speaking about reverse engineering and modeling hey man come on in uh you can just leave it uh yeah in the kitchen I'm on camera to a live group of people but they don't expect professionalism from me anyway um so anyway speaking of reverse engineering uh and modeling stuff that works got new stuff for you if you go to uh learnwith kar.com I think if you put the www in there it's messed up so you can't have the www it's got to be https colon learnwith kar.com there's a brand new training I just released it today and um it goes into a deeper dive it's about an hour long training on what's really really been working well for me so anyway real estate number two real estate dude number one rather he said hey single biggest skill observe what's working for other people reverse engineer everything they're doing and then model the behavior in his own business now real estate dude number two I had two real estate dudes in there um and these aren't get-rich in real estate Guys these are like actual bill brokerages guys and um his response was um leading uh his ability to lead others which I thought was very very interesting so his was team building and he said it was really a combination of two the second uh one was his ability to follow directions so he said the number one skill he had is he would like get an instructional course or whatever and he would literally go through every single piece of content and do literally every single thing that it said to do down to the letter and he was like dude that's it's kind of you know always worked pretty well for me which is you would think that's easy to write off as being duh but I don't know about you man but I rarely do that you know really like I'll like skip to the end or something terrible at following directions and this guy was like NOP I made the commitment to follow the directions everything to the letter and that was profoundly impactful for him and again remember all these guys seven figures plus right okay so attorney fell all right tax attorney um his this is very interesting by the way his magic skill that has gotten him the most play you know in terms of growing the business his was he said the ability to let go of perfectionism which is a hell of a thing coming from an attorney not only coming from an attorney but coming from a tax attorney where things have to be so intense so I doubt that he meant that within the capacity of Performing the actual task that is sold which is the legal services I believe that meant in the sales and marketing process just not you know hey if it works do it don't try to make it super perfect and I thought that was very very important and um and I I think a lot of people suffer from that perfectionism which gets them hung up on not doing what they know they should do um you know for example uh you and I have conversations regularly through Facebook live here and uh you know it's kind of like dude I'm telling you if you make a lot of Facebook videos and then you know use content compounding and do intent-based branding and stuff it works pretty good and a lot of people are like yep I can see it works pretty good and they still don't do it because they want to get that stuff perfect they're like what if I look dumb what if I forget what the hell it is I was talking about in the middle of the video What If somebody walks in with your Fried Chicken Dinner uh you know all of these things have happened to me tonight by the way and um so that perfectionism will mess you up okay so again if you would type your one skill that has gotten you the farthest in business um in the comments I would like to know I'm looking for commonalities here all right so now Home Services dude all right so this guy really remarkable person um runs a giant team his team does Home Services work they do about 30 jobs a day plus uh probably more more accurately about 50 jobs a day plus it's really really interesting I would have figured this guy would have set operations because the man's an incredible delegator he doesn't know how to do like any infusion soft stuff like really anything he'll just like shoot a video on his phone and say okay here's how you do all of this stuff and then they'll hand it to someone else and they'll build a process and now he's got this giant team of like workers and they're doing all this stuff that wasn't his superpower though he said his was a pigheaded refusal to quit doing something that he believed in um and I think that's very very very important and um very people give enough Credence to that skill which I think is a skill and I think it's a skill uh that could be developed like a muscle that uh that pigheaded determination and refusal to quit and refusal to get up so that was interesting now the next guy um who actually as a gesture of appreciation his General coolness bought me this big ass iPad uh today as a guest how great of a client is that thank you Sean um I don't like to give my clients full names or anything just out of you know I don't think they care but whatever um his answer was the number one thing that has carried him to where he is is uh Building Systems and processes uh which is interesting so if you look at a lot of entrepreneurs very few of us have any sort of predictable system or process we're kind of like okay I'm going to do some stuff and see if it works and then a lot of times we're like that worked really great let's immediately stop doing it and try something else so that was his now the client number next um this person is in medical services like actually performing Medical Services very very successful and only works three days a week um his was the ability to position himself as a big fish in a small pond through uh marketing right so I thought that was very very interesting to to get the the single biggest skill that in their minds he contributed the most to their success so if we were to boil this down at least in my opinion right at least in my opinion here's where I think the most like important of these skills are uh number one pigheaded determination right don't quit just do it number two is not marketing is not Le leadership it is not systems it is um real estate guy number one's answer which is modeling seeing someone who's getting the result that you want reverse engineering what they're doing and trying it and seeing if it if it works in your business you know and this guy interestingly enough is in the building of real estate companies and he was talking about modeling completely unrelated behaviors that had nothing to do with real estate you know so I'm not saying like copying other people and like oh that guy's got a big red headline on his sales letter and it says this I'm going to do it you know you're direct competitors ripping the guy off that's not what I mean so number one determination number two reverse engineering and modeling in my opinion the hierarchy of skills to develop okay so let's see here um and the next one I would say of course would be direct response uh marketing you know learning how to craft an offer learning what to say and how to say it in in a way that gets people to buy your stuff you know or take them next step in your sales process so I would I would consider those to be the top three you know just in my opinion all right so now let's go over to the other side of the coin all right so we had a really good you know pretty good long conversation about all of those skills um mine incidentally what I said was the ability to create a well articulated sales presentation in print or on camera um that's gotten me pretty far you know the ability to do that it's important to learn that when I think right which kind of what the lead gen through direct response thing was as well so then our next the next question was the flip side to that right I'm referring to my notes here as why I'm looking away from the camera always feel like I should be making eye contact with y'all you know like it's rude if I don't so forgive me for referring to the notes here oh by the way speaking of reverse engineering and modeling what's working new stuff for you at learnwith kar.com if you type learnwith k.in and.com in your browser and don't put https in it uh it won't work right you have to leave out the www this is just temporary you know there something going on with domain so just https colon blah blah blah learnwith kar.com if someone would kindly type that in the comments for me I would appreciate it I haven't I don't know how to type it in the comments here on um on this app I'm using right now uh which is streamyard which is a cool app by the way probably operator error on my part okay so the next question was okay now that we know the superpower what's the thing that's held you back and and I framed that question as what is the belief or behavior that has hindered your progress the most and I think this is very very important uh to to Really isolate and that's why I titled this video how to get your how to get your mind right I think that's what I titled it as I've forgotten um no idea what causes short-term memory loss there okay so real estate guy number one he said it was his relationship with money in the sense that he would rather bootstrap something on his own even if he's got the money to pay someone else to do it so let's say it's learning intent-based branding or filming videos or whatever he would rather bootstrap it on his own and grind it out instead of paying someone else to do it and that uh that that I don't want to call it a scarcity mindset I'm not quite sure how to describe that but that behavior he said was his single the the biggest impediment to success that he has that he has faced um interestingly enough his uh his his partner which is real estate guy number two they actually have like several different businesses so they're Partners in one um he also said the same thing which was trying to do everything himself uh which I immediately disagreed with because I've known this client forever and I'm like dude you've LED giant teams um so I don't really I don't really buy into that one um all right so this is another one this is from the tax attorney all right not delegating due to the belief that it'll take longer to teach it to someone else versus doing it himself now I wonder how many how many of yall have ever done that you know you're like well I really know I need to get someone else to do this for me but damn it I don't want to spend three hours showing them how to do it so I'll spend an hour doing it myself but over the long term you do it yourself 50 times you spent 50 hours doing it yourself when if you just took the three hours to train somebody or even better taking like a couple hours to document the process in video or whatever you wouldn't have to do it anymore um with the intent-based branding model when you get to week um I believe yes definitely is week five of the class uh there are two ways that we teach you to really start leveraging your content the first one is something you can do yourself which is called content compounding and the second one is something called content expansion which requires a a team and I got to tell you you know to really to really scale uh you need to be able to delicate is very very important um this was this was profoundly interesting so incidentally the top three like the first three are all around the inability to let go and have other people handle stuff one guy said it was the relationship with money he didn't want to pay it um the other guy just said it was it was faster and uh the other guy he didn't give a reason why and I think he's a very good delegator so I still need to work through on that all right so the next dude here okay this is software developer guy his greatest hindrance and this is very very important I think to recognize is that he's he and I put it in quotes he said and I quote I'm always playing defense instead of playing offense and what he meant by that was and I put it in quotes again here in my notes is that his focus is on preparing and protecting against what if things go wrong versus how do we make the stuff that's going right go even writer uh you know which I think is is very very common dwelling on what didn't work or worrying about what if this doesn't work instead of focusing on hey what if this works how can we ensure that it works how can we make it work better I think it's very very important um and it was interesting because he was the first guy I asked and he couldn't think of anything and it took about 20 minutes and he finally was like I got it this is the thing all right the Home Services guy said that self-doubt was his single biggest Achilles heel specifically driven by by a fear of losing everything uh based on past experiences and uh I can totally relate to that personally I'm curious if you've ever had that happen where you will you you've had something not work out well in the past and that the pain of that past experience holds you back from trying again or maybe going as as big as you could I can tell you with a 100% certainty I suffer from that personally absolutely no doubt I'll tell you my Achilles heel when we're done here if you'll remind me all right so the app marketing fell same guy who gave me this fancy new iPad which I'm really enjoying so once again thank you my good man um he said it was lack of clarity and focus throughout the day and thinking too small um and I can dissect that for you thinking too small um leads to lack of clarity and focus if you're thinking very very small it means that your mind isn't challenged enough and you end up doing random stuff that doesn't matter uh right with with your time so it was actually thinking too small is the disease and the lack of of clarity and focus is the symptom of that disease um the medical fell he said that um perfectionism was his number one uh Achilles heel which is uh which is interesting you know because we just mentioned that earlier I know a lot of people ABS I mean they've been watching me talk about this intent-based branding methodology sharing the journey with me you know seeing how it's going and I'm like dude this is me you just kind of get on you make some content you talk about some stuff and then you you know you got your three pillars and I talk all about it like damn you know that's obviously working for this dude I share my numbers with you guys all the time and um but you still don't do it and I think a lot of the fear with the folks who still aren't doing it is they're worry well I don't know what to say what if I don't look dumb what if people hate on me and all of that is like you know what if it's and really that is all of those questions are what lead to perfectionism meaning perfectionism is a way of protecting yourself from the possible things that you're afraid of such as what if I look stupid what if people hate on me what if I forget what the hell I'm talking about Etc you know so I get it right but this is like all these people are not beginners they're all like really accomplished people and they have the same mental craft that everybody does which um is is refreshing you know so we kind of work through all of those and and the reason I wanted to bring it up with you is um is to let you know that everybody has stuff like every single person out there has got two things one ability inherent innate ability to do something whether that ability is uh you know whether the power is in your ability to make an offer your ability to be persuasive or whether that power is in your ability to create systems or whether that power is in your ability to just read the damn manual and actually follow the directions which is pretty freaking rare doesn't matter within every single person there is a there is an ability that is going to be a single biggest contributor to your success and if you find that and focus on it and really feed into it you're only going to get better faster and the flip side of that is every single one of us I lost my notes let's say face ID blowing my mind man um first day with the new iPad you know um every single one of us has our own little cross to bear so to speak you know mentally because if we look at this you know inability to delegate that's not that's not an actual thing you know that is a it's a mental hang-up right it's a choice of I don't want to take the temporary pain to teach somebody so I'll do it faster or it is an internal belief that well it's going to cost me more money to to get someone to do it than if I did it myself which is you know at a small scale it's actually true but when you're growing your company and you're at the level these guys are at it is absolutely untrue it's the complete opposite of it you know so it's funny incidentally my Achilles heel um is is wanting people to like me believe it or not so I will do all manner of stuff to avoid being offensive to people and or to avoid hurting people's feelings and that has gotten that has caused me more trouble in my professional life not meaning I've gotten into more trouble about it but it's it has caused me more difficult and angst than probably anything else like what if people get mad or what if I hurt this person's feelings or whatever I have overp I have kept team members too long I have um I have been way too liberal with customers and clients and I have even embarrassingly enough but I'm I'm sharing this with you to hopefully help you get past your own bull uh you know bull crap as I I have even played small in terms of getting my own brand out there out of fear that what if a lot of people see it they all suddenly decide that I'm a I'm a butthole you know which for all I know there's a pretty good group of people out there that have already come to that conclusion so we we all got our crap and I'll tell you what's really helpful is to ask yourself that question you know what is my what what single belief or behavior is causing me to keep the brakes on and you know what write it down and once you do that ain't got power over you anymore because now you're looking at it you oh look at that I see you now hidden belief I see you now hidden behavior and when it happens you can now be conscious of it and you can start to change that behavior then you can you can fight that belief and say well is that true and what if it is true so what you know I mean what if like like hundreds of people or thousands of people suddenly decided that I was the worst person in the world okay for all I know they already do right what if you make a video and it's not perfect and nobody watches or whatever probably really not that bad so the real thing to ask yourself when you're dealing with things like this has always helped me is okay I have this fear fear that it won't be perfect for example or fear that people won't like me for example or fear that it'll take too long to train the other guy than it would to do myself I'm just like listing all of the the things that are holding people up so you say okay I have this now instead of trying to say no that's not true that's not true do the other end of the equation say okay well what if I'm right and what if it happens and then kind of list all the stuff that would maybe be a result of that you know so for me what if people didn't like me and they were writing mean comments about me and you know were like ah Frank sucks and all of this kind of stuff and that's what I write down okay they write me comments about me they don't like me they think that I suck they have a negative opinion out about me and they even tell their friends that they don't like me all right and so you write down that kind of worst case scenario and then you take a look at the thing that you want you know for me it's a very very good life for my family and it is a life of choice for myself and my family uh where we can choose how we want to spend our time and where we want to live and and what schools and we want to send the kids to and what activities we want to participate in and you know choose what we want to eat without having to look on the menu so you look at that thing that you want and then you say okay I want this thing over here I'm worried about this stuff over here in the middle is the possibility that the stuff I'm worried about might actually happen what's here's the worst case scenario and then here's the big decider for you whether you can on how to choose whether or not to move forward and that's this one simple question is it worth the risk you know is is me having the uh security for my family and the ability to eat where we want to and the ability to you know live in in in this this place where we live now and have a pretty good life and drive fancy cars and you know all four of my children are very very well cared for is that worth the risk of people not liking me and my answer is absolutely yes it is and whether your answer is yes or no is irrelevant what is important is you get clarity let's say your answer is no it's not worth the risk why you just saved yourself a tremendous amount of time you know and if your answer is yes it's worth the risk then your brain can immediately quit worrying about you like all right screw it let's go then because I know the worst case scenario and I'm willing to accept that because it's worth it to get to what I want so I hope you found this helpful the guy from the from the the building I live in I just brought up a brought up a big old bag of fried chicken which um interestingly enough I'm on a diet at eating fried chicken because I can't have any freaking bread sugar rice fruit or anything like that so damn it I'm having Fried Chicken I'm going to pull the skin off so that's my update for the day I hope you guys found this helpful please go to if you want to see some new stuff go to learnwith docomo idea let me take a second here to see if I can think dive this in somewh short L um yeah there's nowhere for me to type it I got to read the directions here I got to adopt my buddy magic power and actually read the instructions on how to use this thing you know but anyway learnwith car.com uh you have to put https colash in front of it and I think that will I think you'll like that it's brand new stuff has hasn't been released yet deeper dive into intent based branding update on the stats pretty good I think you'll dig it um it is an on demand training and it's about an hour long uh and I do ask for your email address so I can email you 7even million times and say hey you should really buy my class so be prepared for that shocker um okay hope you guys have a good Friday evening uh I'll talk to youall later thank you very much for watching and um yeah all right I'm out of here take it easy
