hello youtube i'm matt v productions and welcome back to another minecraft video so i am making this video upon popular request uh now my last how to find diamonds video did very very well so i want to thank everyone for that um but everyone's like oh man we're gonna update the tutorial give us a 20 20 tutorial update so uh yeah that's what i'm doing i don't know if you've noticed on my channel lately but i've been doing a lot of updated tutorials essentially just for 2020 because it just you know it's february now we've had a month to go so now i'm going to update all of my tutorials for 2020 from 2019 and maybe even some older ones so uh yeah that is the plan so without further ado let's get into this tutorial this is how to find diamonds in minecraft 1.15 plus uh in 2020. it's an updated method from my previous one so it should work really well so as you guys can see i'm just spawned into a random minecraft world yes i am in creative mode because i want to kind of get out all the different materials that you're going to need for this tutorial and uh yeah this is going to be the fastest and easiest minecraft method uh to date for finding diamonds in vanilla survival of course with mods or just straight up cheating you could find them faster but this is uh just straight up vanilla no cheating fastest way to find diamonds so some materials obviously you're going to need a little bit of food obviously you don't need this much food 64 steak is a lot but you know at least have like 16 or something lying around your inventory for your mining adventure of course you're gonna want plenty of torches after all we're going down into the mine shafts torches are a must some miscellaneous blocks and really never hurt uh when you're going down in a mine shaft or you're just going mining anywhere in minecraft you want miscellaneous blocks a bucket of water also never hurts they do come in handy often now we're also going to want to get some trapdoors doesn't matter what kind i usually bring around six of them or so this is going to be the key to our mining method and of course we're going to want to bring a couple of iron pickaxes and also a shovel i'm just going to bring a stone one because it's not as important and if you're playing with mobs on you're going to want to bring a sword as well and uh yeah this is basically a pretty good starter kit to mining in minecraft of course if you were just looking for diamonds as fast as possible minimum required uh tools you could get rid of some of this stuff like you'd only need a couple torches a little bit of food probably just uh the oak trap door and some iron pickaxes but we're going for the full thing today so let's actually get into mining i'm gonna set myself into uh game mode survival all right so now we're in survival mode so biome typically doesn't matter a whole lot when mining for diamonds the best thing you do want to do when it it comes to uh finding a land mass is you want to go kind of closer to sea level so if we hit f3 here on the keyboard as you can see on the xyz there when i jump it hit 70 from 69 that is how far down we are now we kind of just want to make it on our surface level as far down as possible to uh so we don't have to dig as far as possible essentially because the closer we are down to diamond height the better so the terrain kind of lowers over here we're all the way down to 64. go down more looks like we found ourselves a ravine well not everyone's going to be using a ravine or has ravines in the world like this so i'm just going to go stick over somewhere over there but that is a really nice find if you have a ravine like this start this tutorial from down one of those but again some people might not have that so i'm gonna go start it just over here all right so this is uh at 63. as you can see if i jump it says 64. now we want to dig all the way down to level 12 because that's where diamonds spawn you could also do 11 you could do 10 anything around you know probably 8 to 12 is where you're going to find your diamonds so if we turn this off again by hitting the f3 button and crouch we can use our shovel to dig the dirt because last time my last tutorial i dug with a pickaxe and everyone got super angry we're gonna use a shovel this time just do like this like this like this like this so that means if you do it like that if there's lava right under here i wouldn't fall into it because i'm on this block and then i could you know go from there but there's no lava right now so we're just gonna go like this and this prevents you from ever falling into the lava and again you do have to be careful but this should uh prevent you from falling into the lava if you're careful so again we just want to do this all the way down into uh level 12. as you can see we're at level 40 right now we just want to keep going until we hit level 12. and as you can see with this method of just going straight down by doing this two block method we honestly get there really quickly we're already at 24 22 21 20. and yeah before you know it you're at level uh and we just found some coal we're at level 12. there we are so when they're saying level 12 they mean that this is level 12. so usually i go it one down so we can actually be in level 12 to mind the blocks so this is level 12 right here this is 13 and this is 11. we can now safely shut our hut off we can now break out our trap doors so what we will do is we'll move one over to this square or you could go to this one if you really wanted to it depends on the direction you want to mine in we're going to place our trap door up at the top half of this level 11 block or this level 12 block sorry like that just right click it down there now as you can see we can move it uh open and closed what we want to do is close it down like this walk into that block and then close it on ourselves and now we are tiny now what we are actually doing is something called crawling in minecraft and this allows us to crawl in one by one block areas which gives us a 25 increase in the amount of blocks that we can see and go through uh when mining in minecraft so it is much more efficient to do it uh like this because we can just go through one block and just keep going all day and night so yeah you can honestly just take your trapdoor you can leave it here depends on how many trapdoors you bring but you just always want to make sure you have a trapdoor so you can get back through these one by one spaces anyways yeah at this level which is going to be level 11. we want to continue to just move forward oh we just found some redstone and uh yeah you just basically strip mine straight in a row until you find diamonds oh we already found some iron and now when you come up to a block like this that is above the ground what you want to do is just step back stay in your under your one block and a mine these out and then when you see everything on the floor you can use that block that you brought with you to kind of place above your head place the torch in typical stuff and collect your items you can keep going in a straight line again when it gets dark just place a torch i hear some lava now when you hear lava in this uh like little underground crawling state you want to be very careful it is treacherous so just stay back when you mine and just wait for lava like expect it so you don't get killed by it because no one ever said mining was perfectly safe now it might take a little bit of time but usually fairly quickly you're gonna start finding uh ores and stuff as you can see i'm already on my third order down here but it might take a little bit longer for you you know minecraft is a randomly generated game sometimes it's hard to find stuff and diamonds of course will always take the longest to find you're gonna go through several pickaxes or you might only use one it all just depends on the way that the game generates the chunks around you can now hear cave noises that means there must be a cave nearby of course if you wanted to try to find a cave down here you could just start digging for it oh there we go we found the cave because honestly sometimes there will be diamonds and walls and stuff but you want to be very careful you want to place your trapdoor so we can get back down here easily and you want to have your sword out because i do hear mobs and i'm going to eat also to refill my energy you get our sword out oh skeleton yeah as you can see you always want to have your guard up i should have a shield ah get the skeleton there we go oh he hit me but i got him well now we're in a little cave down below here it's worth just running around this cave quickly torching it up looking for some diamonds whoa that's not what i wanted that is not diamonds again thank god we have all these blocks because now i can just block all this off we know there's nothing that we want over in that area i don't know i don't think this cave is very fruitful for us right now so we're going to run away back into our little hole but yeah sometimes you will run into caves that are good oh we just found some gold so again when mining oars like this you can place blocks and the oars will basically come to you and you can fill it in like that oh we just ran into another uh lava spout again you could get out here and try to look for some diamonds if you wanted to but honestly i'm just gonna head back and mine in another direction oh we just found an emerald wow that's pretty crazy again this also works with anywhere essentially because every ore spawns down here but diamonds particularly spawn down here here's even more emerald oh we've run into more lava and there's another cave again any of these little caves are definitely worth checking out for diamonds we found some emeralds i mean this is the traditional way you're meant to find diamonds but turns out we're seeing a lot of emeralds today look at this i've never seen so many emeralds in a cave before this is this is crazy because you might see some diamonds in them but there's no diamonds in this one oh there we go we found them we found them they were right along me the whole time that's crazy all right here we go we found our diamonds guys again sometimes it does take a little bit of time to find them but you will find them and i found them still it's been under 20 minutes of mining probably under 15 minutes of mining and i've already found some diamonds so this is the fastest and easiest method to find diamonds yet again my other tutorial that was really popular i found diamonds within like five or six minutes or something crazy like that so it you know it's going to take anywhere from like 5 minutes to 20 minutes to find the diamonds but you will find a patch and uh yeah this is a pretty big patch of diamonds as well so there we go we're going to mine our diamonds up again it's so satisfying i always dig around my diamonds to make sure there's no lava or anything like that and uh because i know some people are gonna be like oh he's cheating he's cheating we'll do the seed here so i'll do slash seed that's the seed and then that is the coordinates there so if you want to go over here and and look for the diamonds there right here naturally spawned so you guys know i'm not cheating but yeah anyways guys uh
