hello youtube i'm mvproductions and welcome back to another minecraft video now yeah we're back in minecraft for like an official video i know but this does not mean that i am you know changing my whole channel back to minecraft i know i said i was quitting minecraft but i really wanted to make this one little video to update a previous video that i made which is my how to find diamonds guide for minecraft video has uh quite a few views i think it's around half a million views or so so you guys obviously really like that video and i know people want a more updated tutorial so here i am in 2019 updating the uh the official tutorial here um so this is gonna be a new how to find diamonds guy this is a specific mining guide tailored to finding diamonds and this is the updated 2019 best absolute method to find diamonds so drop a like right now for those diamonds and every like that i get on this video is a diamond for you um but yeah over here obviously uh the obvious method would be to mine in a cave for diamonds but that is not the current most efficient method for finding diamonds that is what i'm going to be showing you guys today so first off we're going to start with some materials obviously you probably should have gone mining before this and you should end up with a couple of tools i'm in creative mode right right now i know that but uh we're gonna be switching to survival obviously for this guide um but i'm just gonna show you some tools you need first we're gonna need an iron pickaxe we're going to need a torch over here or some torches i'll get about a stack or two of torches right here you know you're gonna want around two iron pickaxes you don't need iron pickaxes well obviously to mine the diamonds you need at least one iron pickaxe but if you want to just use stone pickaxes that's obviously completely fine or if you're just already have diamonds looking for more diamonds you can of course use this guide as well and obviously we're going to need some food if you do happen to find yourself in a cave you're going to want some blocks just to kind of mine around with and of course you're going to want to remember to take a crafting table if you want to craft anything and probably some wood blocks do so we'll take some wood blocks and a crafting table and if we encounter any mobs if you're not playing in peaceful take a sword as well so this is pretty much everything we're going to need for our little mining trip with one exception now this is the main thing you cannot forget this you're going to want to bring a bucket of water if i can find it it should be here we go bucket of water make sure you bring a bucket of water all right so here we are with everything that we need for our mining trip all right let's switch back into survival mode now and start our little mining adventure so you're not going to really want to be around the water too much and you're going to want to end up somewhere maybe in a plane's field it's always nice to start mining in but i mean the ideal biome is that big rocky mountainous biome to start mining but uh obviously the first thing we're going to want to do is start digging down like this um we're gonna want to do two blocks uh compared to my previous one block method you're gonna wanna stand in the center of these two blocks go one down then one down then one down then one down then one down then one down just kind of in this little pattern right here this makes sure you don't fall into any lava and it also makes sure that you get down there pretty quickly now this time when we're mining down we're going to want to hit f3 and start monitoring our statistics here as you can see we can see our x and z and all that stuff here i'll actually pause it over here so this is the number we're going to be looking at over here we're currently at level 50 we want to get all the way down to around level 12 or so that's when you're gonna find diamonds the most commonly so we're gonna head down here keep doing this method until we hit around 12 it might take a little bit of time of course if we hit any caves on our way down you can feel free to explore them because there might just be diamonds sitting near some lava for you [Music] as you can see we are nearing level number 12 and here we are on level 12. so now this next step is a little bit weird as you can see we are quite a few blocks down but diamonds will definitely spawn at this level we're going to want to take our water bucket and go over to the corner like this and just place it on this wall it should flow down like this then you're going to want to make sure that you have a full fresh breath of air before you do this but you're going to want to double tap to start sprinting and as you can see we go all the way down to this one little block down here now once you start swimming like this you're going to want to start mining mining down in this one by one block area so as you can see we can even catch a breath while we mine like this and just keep digging in a straight line like this until the water eventually will run out so as you can see the water has run out but wait what is this we are now a one by one block steve as you can see if we go f5 we're kind of glitching out a little bit they might patch this in the future but as for now they have not patched this um if they do end up patching this please let me know down in the comments below and i will make another tutorial to update this one but as you can see uh for now we are running around this little one by one block and we can still mine and have all these capabilities uh while down here and of course place torches and of course we're still here at level number 12. well what is so special about this mining method is that we destroy one block and for every one block we destroy we have five more blocks to look at as compared by the two by two um it takes a lot longer to destroy and it's only about one or so more blocks that you can actually look at so it is a much higher chance that we will come across diamonds by doing this and it's also a much faster mining method as you can see we already came across some redstone and some gold some more redstone right here now if we just keep mining in a straight line like this we will eventually find diamonds or of course you can make turns wherever you please and uh that will also be just as fine and work just as well now i can already hear some lava around here somewhere so if there's a cave of course you can hop out and get into the cave and go find diamonds if they're actually in that cave if you want to explore the cave and you can always remember to get a bucket of water to do that one block by one block method there's some coal oh here's some gravel oh shoot we just got pushed up into the uh gravel area if this happens we're gonna have to go back and get a bucket of water again sometimes it's usually a pretty good idea to also uh bring a couple of buckets of water as you can see we're back down here again you can do it fairly quickly but we'll just start around over here maybe and just keep mining it forward now a lot of you are going to claim that this is a cheat this is a hack well it is not a glitch necessarily it's a part of the game and i wouldn't be surprised if they patch it but for right now it is a good way to mine this works on version 1.13 if you were asking and there we go we found diamonds as quick as that literally in like under 10 minutes we found diamonds so there you go in 10 minutes i have found a full patch of diamonds look at how beautiful this full patch of diamonds is we're going to mine all the way around that's why i say bring two pickaxes because we can get another one but wow look at that we already found diamonds and lapis so this is a perfect enchanting setup over here we're going to mine this whole patch out over here and to grab these diamonds so there you go here's a nice perfect patch of diamonds let's mine this and as you guys can see look at how satisfying this is i mean if you guys really care you can even check the seat over here and go on the same thing if you want and see that i didn't spawn those diamonds in but again you end up with this little one by one hole after you can just dig out and go get your water again or you can bring a bunch of extra buckets of water but look at this look at how many ores that we're actually finding over here this really is a pro uh plethora of ores but yes like legitimately within 10 minutes using this method i have found diamonds it was a pretty good patch of six diamonds as well so as you can see we are gonna have to go mine all the way back and grab our water bucket and if you guys notice here's an extra tip um this water is only about one block high and we cannot swim down in it yet it has to be two block high water so again this this uh exploit i'll call it is only available uh with the new water mechanics that were introduced and all the swimming and stuff obviously um but yeah it is a pretty good idea to just go back anyways and mine another block out once you've found your diamonds but this is definitely the quickest way to find diamonds it's about 25 faster all these extra materials by the way are in case you find a cave and want to craft stuff so we do two blocks high zoom into it swim all the way down and even if it's dark just keep mining like this if you start to drown again just uh lift up your head even if it's really dark like right now you can just kind of point your cursor up and hope for the best there we go all right let's try your luck one more time with this method and see if we can't find more diamonds we have certainly also found other ore so not only does this work for diamonds it also works for other wars i just found that most people really are just looking for diamonds at the end of the day this method would also classify as strip mining so if you really don't like strip mining obviously by now you would know that this method really is not for you but uh as you can see it's an extremely fast way of mining and here we go we just found a cave so we're gonna want to block that up again that's the reason why you bring blocks is to block stuff like that from happening and since we found a cave i really feel like exploring it so we're gonna willingly do this get up on two blocks and uh start exploring around the cave and now you have this little cave to explore so that method that you see down there is not only good for diamonds it's pretty much good for everything let's see if we can't find some diamonds over here we found some iron and uh quite some mobs oh no wow oh creeper city over here well as you can see it also can lead into caves and
