Hey guys, it's Savannah Sanchez here from The Social Savannah. We're just wrapping up today at Shoptalk Las Vegas and Meta made a bunch of announcements here on stage that are going to affect all advertisers. So, here are the main three things that you need to know. Basically, in 2026, Meta is going all in on turning creators into real sales channel and removing the friction between people seeing a product in a reel and purchasing. It's going to be easier than ever to track how creators are actually driving revenue for your business. To start, creator product tagging just got way better. Creators can now tag products in their reels directly from a brand's catalog. So, if you're a brand, you could basically plug your entire product feed into creators' content. And this is a big deal because it removes so much friction. No more link in bio, no more people hunting for a product after seeing it in a creator's post. Now, people can see your product in a creator's reel, they tap it, and they buy it. This means brands can scale creator [music] content way more efficiently. You can have creators tagging multiple products across your catalog all natively inside of their reel. And on top of that, Meta is expanding their affiliate partnerships with creators, too, with partners like Amazon, Temu, eBay. So, there's even more incentive for creators to actually drive conversions from their posts. Overall, I'm really excited about Meta's commitment to creators to see them as a real sales channel for brands. Meta announced 3 very exciting updates at Shoptalk yesterday: #1 Meta is making it easier for creators to link products more broadly on Instagram. Now creators can create shoppable moments of discovery by tagging products from a brand’s catalog or through eligible affiliate links directly in their Reels. No more link in bio! #2 They are expanding affiliate partnerships to more test partners, including Amazon, eBay, and Temu. With affiliate partnerships, creators tag products from retailers in their posts to help their communities find and buy products. Businesses choose which products to feature and set the commission for sales. When someone purchases a product through a creator’s post, the creator earns a commission making it easy and simple for both to benefit. #3 They're introducing new ways for creators to recommend products while making it easier for people to use AI to discover new products, learn more about them and make a purchase.
