you'd probably want to see a diagram of the network so in rahu we can type run GUI topology py that'll start a web server and allow us to view the topology we're going to run a simple layer to switch for open flow 1.0 and we want to observe the links between devices notice the following a web server has been started on port 8080 so I've browse to the right hook on troll on port 8080 we can see here that we getting some HTTP GET messages so i'll refresh that again and you can see that there are get messages so let's run mini net again things are successful we can see that packet ins are taking place and if i refresh the browser notice I can see the two devices open flow switches or open flow devices in the topology let's exit out a mini net and we'll create a de Paula G of let's say 8 switches it's a linear topology things are succeeding packet ins are received from the controller notice the addresses post 6 and host eight if i refresh the topology we can see a linear topology of 8 switches I'll exit out a mini net let's start a tree topology with a fan out of 3 and depth of 3 I'll do a ping all devices are being discovered in the topology so you can see broadcasts are taking place if we refresh the GUI notice we can see our tree topology depth of 3 fan out of 3 so cool switch we've got our second level switches over here fan out of 3 and we've got the leaf switches 3 of those switches are connected to level 2 as devices are discovered in the topology the things will start succeeding so that's an example of Rio so let's exit out a mini net we can see the ports are now deleted the GUI topology has gone I'll shut down Rahu and Ty Lee let's start it again but use the verbose option so we can see the HTTP gets and there's more detail in many net I'll just start a simple topology of two switches and notice we've got a lot of events taking place host 1 ping host 2 we can see verbose information now within Rio so detailed information is now shown in Rahu exit out a mini net we can see more detailed information start the topology again ping or quite a lot of detail available in verbose mode
