Elisa Polystar and Google Cloud partner to bring the power of analytics and automation to CSPs

[Music] hi I'm Brian krasik and Welcome to Cloud innovators live in telecommunications I have with me today Kirsty from Elisa polystar Kirsty how are you and could you introduce yourself thank you my name is I come from Melissa polystar and my job is to build automation business but also to act as CMO lovely and Kirsty you had some big news not too long ago you want to tell us about it yes absolutely the big thing for us is that we acquired cardinality data Ops data platform a data management company and brought it into Elisa polystar well data management is certainly a hot area and Cardinale is a great partner of ours so can you tell me more about the partnership and where we want to take it well we believe there are great opportunities since what we have been building up until now it's analytics and automation for telcros and now bringing in cardinality strength with data ingestion like great big data pipeline taking all those Telco flows and leveraging that with kind of a hyperscale powers of you guys so that makes that we can actually bring that that talk of specific analytics and automation use cases on top of all that makes us hugely stronger well and so Elise is doing that that led to an acquisition but with cardinality we also had some very big wins and now we're together at Vodafone for instance yes and I would see that this allows us to leverage some exciting automation for instance on AI based energy saving uh kind of offering that on top of the cardinality and of course you know what I see is great strength or also kind of a strengthening our automation with the kind of a Google with the cloud capabilities and when we think about what we're doing with our customers in the Vodafone they're in seven different countries so we're getting feeds from all different areas and then trying to synthesize that to create a more unified platform and approach true absolutely absolutely um so that's kind of one of the benefits we are going for what are some of the other ones well one thing is that as Elisa polusa we have 120 Telco csb customers so leveraging the date of management in in kind of a hour with our customers and of course on the other hand you know fueling the automations with with these masses of more data we can get with cardinality and what do you think about the scale having you know leveraging data that kind of scale what's the hyperscale or combination with the cardinality is that the secret sauce what is the secret sauce well I think you know with the data the more data you have than the more valuable it is and I think that's where we are getting to with the kind of the hyperscale strength coming into the picture and so where do you see the partnership going as we move forward what are some of those benefits how can we accelerate and improve things for other csps well I think we can offer them now kind of the strength of a hyperscaler Cloud we can offer them the kind of power of a teleco automation use cases so automating their networks going to what we call self-driving networks so taking the networks into this kind of a level well they can be automated zero touch closed loop well that's pretty incredible because I think where we're going as an industry is more and more automation helping get the costs out of the business helping drive more data and looking at it in a broader way and then just leveraging the analytics across that so it's a it's a fascinating space it's one where we have many wins and we look to help more of our customers as we move in the future thank you so much for being here thank you Brian it was a pleasure and that's it for cloud innovators live and Telecommunications
