hello everybody my name is anita isola and i also have my team members abhijit bairagi and prana kapoor with me we are very excited to present the summary of a paper today we are from microsoft india development center and i've come together as a team to collaborate on the future of work initiative through this paper titled impact of covet 19 crises on the future of work in india we will be looking at socio-economic cultural behavioral and psychological pointers to understand factors impacting indian workforce and subsequently uses learnings to inform our next steps which is the primary research in the current climate the acronym vuca short for volatile uncertain complex and ambiguous seems more appropriate to description than ever it would be more accurately represented with complexity at its core considering a diverse and complex nation like india struggling with a medical and economical and a financial catastrophe all at the same time as a society we are experiencing a massive sense of loss and change and deep emotional crises whose impact on our collective will be undeniable the goal therefore is to help process and reflect on these complex emotions and behaviors to draw meaningful india derived insights through the secondary research on macro changes our final objective is to integrate these learnings to design a primary research intended at improving productivity and efficiency for our employees and for our clients for the study we have referenced media academic and medical journals as our sources within three months of covet layoffs were announced in media aviation retail hospitality automobiles and now it industry adding to our votes the reverse migration crisis set in because due to covet most of the construction and public projects were put on a hold india's education system is second largest globally our vision to go digital was in 2030 at a jio level but today for online classes only 23 percent urban homes and 4 percent rural homes have access to computers however this has increased the demand for internet digital media hardware such as ups router laptop and mobile sicilia while indians are known for yoga meditation family connects our position on the anxiety index speaks about the huge psychological dent that covet has created on our psyche work from home has also put a dent in expenses as water scarcity and power bills continue to rise in the geography the sheer size of india has made a healthcare story look pretty bleak at the moment but as we struggle to keep the ship afloat there is a rising conversation in india inc as to how can the geo and our talent continue to operate as a linchpin of global economy to ensure that we keep our employees safe a hybrid workplace is the model that seems to be our safest bet this can allow us to gradually open a workplace while keeping employee centricity at the core and also ensuring compliance to government norms and future on behalf of my team i would like to thank the new future of work symposium for inviting us and for giving us the opportunity to present our work
