foreign we'll show you how to install the Google tag [Music] the Google tag is the foundation for conversion measurement and Page visitor management you can do this once you've set up a conversion action depending on how you set up your conversion action you'll need to do one of the following if you use the URL based option and you are a new customer without any tags on site you'll install the Google tag across your website if this is the case skip to installing the Google tag and verify your Google tag these are the most important sections if you use the advanced option you'll install the Google tag across your website plus a conversion event snippet on the pages you want to track as conversions if you already have a Google tag on your website you don't need to add a new tag locate the option to set up the Google tag click setup next to the Google tag section if you're using a website builder or content management system like WordPress or Wix you may see the option to set up conversion tracking this provides a simple code free option for setting up your Google tag if you don't see a CMS implementation option then you'll need to install the Google tag yourself within Google ads UI navigate to the code section and copy the Google tag displayed on the screen you can always find your Google tag and your Google ads interface implement the Google tag across your entire website to measure the entire customer Journey as a best practice you should install the tag on every page of your website the Google tag enables you to measure and collect user visits and actions on your website please ensure you're providing users with clear and comprehensive information about data collection and obtaining consent where legally required to install the tag on your website paste it in the code of every page of your website immediately after the head tag element don't add more than one Google tag to each page if conversion tracking was set up using the URL based method go back to your Google ads account and click done your automatic setup is complete next you need to add the Google tag implemented on all pages if you decide to set up your conversion manually you'll also need to set up a conversion event snippet within the Google ads UI click see event snippet to locate the event snippet choose whether you'd like to track page loads or clicks and click copy add the code within the head tag on your conversion page your conversion page is the page within your website that you'd like to track as a conversion you may have more than one page you'd like to track as part of the same conversion action make sure to add the event snippet to every page you'd like to track in this conversion action if you haven't already navigate back to the Google ads account and click next and then done in your conversion action setup you have now installed the Google tag manually you can access the tag and snippet at any time by clicking on the conversion action on the conversions page foreign it's a good idea to verify that your Google tag was implemented correctly use the tag assistant to enter your domain URL for more information visit the Google ads help center
