Key Takeaways

The video discusses the Open Source Computer Science Degree, a free and open-source curriculum for learning computer science, covering various resources and courses from top universities like Harvard, Princeton, and MIT.

Original Description

In this video, I will be taking you through the various resources that make up the open-source computer science degree. The OSSU curriculum is a complete education in computer science using online materials. It's not merely for career training or professional development. It's for those who want a proper, well-rounded grounding in concepts fundamental to all computing disciplines, and for those who have the discipline, will, and (most importantly!) good habits to obtain this education largely on their own, but with support from a worldwide community of fellow learners. It is designed according to the degree requirements of undergraduate computer science majors, minus general education (non-CS) requirements, as it is assumed most of the people following this curriculum are already educated outside the field of CS. The courses themselves are among the very best in the world, often coming from Harvard, Princeton, MIT, etc., but specifically chosen to meet the following criteria. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LINKS: OSSU GitHub: https://github.com/ossu/computer-science#introduction-to-programming OSSU Website: https://ossu.firebaseapp.com/#/ OSSU Course Page: https://ossu.thinkific.com/courses/computer-science-v7 BSinCS Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_kdHrT8izbROJNaxGflpcZm2ivsjRGF8j1hMzl3b8O0/htmlview?usp=sharing# Open Source CS Degree: https://github.com/mvillaloboz/open-source-cs-degree Teach Yourself CS: https://teachyourselfcs.com/ Functional CS: https://functionalcs.github.io/curriculum/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BLOG ►► https://bit.ly/3qjvSjK FORUM ►► https://bit.ly/39r2kcY ACADEMY ►► https://bit.ly/39CuORr ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TWITTER ►► https://bit.ly/3sNKXfq INSTAGRAM ►► https://bit.ly/3sP1Syh LINKEDIN ►► https://bit.ly/360qwlN PATREON ►► https://bit.ly/365i
