Malignant haematology supervision - Cambridge University medical student VLOG #12

hey guys welcome back to the channel it's a beautiful Sunday morning and I've just come back from a simulation session at Adam Brooks hospital in it there was a scenario in which I was a doctor and we had a patient and some nurses and things and had to kind of respond to the scenario as if we would as if we were real doctors I find simulation exercise is really good because there like a nice bridge between kind of books and reality there's a big difference between knowing which drugs you're supposed to give you know in textbook formats versus actually finding them and I'm viewing them in real life oh right so simulation training done that was really good it's just plan to run throughout one o'clock and I've got the supervision where I am giving a talk about believe mythology so like a Leukemia Lymphoma all those kinds of things to better prepare for that so I think now I'm just gonna kind of get my presentation together get the handouts together it's gonna be a good Sunday [Music] was her home again beside the stream [Music] all right so that was really fun we've just gone through the whole script I did the run-through the script is looking pretty sick the cost to our fantastic loads and loads of really like laugh-out-loud moments which are only gonna get better as as the rehearsals progress and so one of the best parts about about panto every year is always the kind of community feeling that you you kind of develop with with the cast and the crew and the orchestra and everyone towards the end of it and makes it like probably the best part of of being a medical student at Cambridge so super looking forward to have a year ahead is gonna go plan now grab some lunch do another few hours of work preparing for this super vision about leukemia see you in a bit say hello for making our way towards one of the buildings in money in the Emmanuel College for the supervision all right so that's today's supervision on malignant hematology finished we went for a solid two hours from like five til 7:00 p.m. it was actually really fun there's one guy could seem to know like absolutely loads but I think even he learnt some stuff and the others seemed quite quite satisfied with the way it was run yeah that was really really fun really enjoyed it looking forward to doing more super missions like this and final order of business for the evening is visiting Catherine's room to grab some of the B mass crash course workbooks which are like in this box now on there oh sorry there's our interview books not be my books yeah because I thought it's just Chuck em because they're what why does that big I don't run the beat you took that guy's interview crash course handbook come on our interview course if you are applying to medicine anything get someone that car in teaching you yeah time you go sir a nice cup of tea which is looking a bit weird made by microwave and water because the cats are spoken microwaving water you don't live it actually actually tastes quite reasonable this is a fun diary which is like it's not literally aligned but it's a very short diary entry day which is good for people like me who will not do it regularly if it requires a large type of commitment and then you do it every day going across like that and then when you get to the end of the book he loop around and do the second row and so on and so because of that each year after this one well I'm writing I'll be able to see like exactly what I was doing or feeling or thinking at the same time last year that's really cool reflecting on your day is meant to be a thing that makes you more happy say hello again guys so after getting back from Catherine's place I told myself I would go to the gym but ended up sitting on YouTube instead added a few more videos which are being scheduled as we speak low yeah let's call it a night and get ready for tomorrow's meta tech conference thank you very much for watching if you like the video please give it a thumbs up if you haven't subscribed to the channel yet please consider doing so have a lovely night I'll see you in the next one bye [Music] silly dream was her home again beside the stream
