Speaking on Live TV - Cambridge University medical student VLOG #10

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. It's a Sunday evening and I'm about to head down to London. I'm going to London because apparently there is some kind of live TV show being filmed. And it's like a panel TV show aimed at the Bangladeshi community of the UK. Uh and they're going to be asking questions about like medicine and and university and and that sort of thing. Uh and I've been invited up as the expert speaker on the BMAT. So uh I got a Facebook message this morning, so which was very bizarre and I thought why not? I'm not really doing anything more exciting tonight. The windows closed to fear and doubt. I stopped and turned trying to find out. All right, we're in the middle of East London. Got no idea what's going on, but just going to head to the venue. Might be some kind of TV studio. It might be someone's house. Like honestly, this is just one of those things that you just go along for the ride and see what happens. What's mate? How are you doing? We are in the studio. Say hello. Hi guys. Um and we're going to be part of the UKCAT and BMAT panel. They're going to be asking us some questions and we're going to be replying and they're apparently going to take phone calls in uh from the audience. So it's a very very odd experience, but it should be it should be quite fun. Basically we're running the show for a Bangladeshi British TV show and the main reason behind doing it is so that people from backgrounds which might not usually have access to information on the medical application process can learn more about what the personal statement entails, the UKCAT, the BMAT, and interviews too. I'm Chris. I'm the president of Imperial College Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Society. So we're answering questions about how to get into medicine. Yeah, that was really good fun. We had uh questions from viewers back home and it was quite scary being under the lights initially, but I I got used to it quite quickly. It was it was almost like almost like vlogging. You just kind of look at the camera and and talk to the camera. Yes, son of tomorrow. Dying to know it all. I don't think we'll ever be on TV for some long time. It's quite fun presenting. I feel good. It was fun. It was exciting. It was awesome. Yeah, I liked it. All right, everyone's done. We're going to get a photo. We have different people saying different things.
