hey guys um this is another way to kind of make your phone a little bit more interesting uh this time using widget like a live wallpaper and various other apps so when you unlock it it's just like that um you kind of end up what you're last doing so i was just listening to some music so yeah there you go so first thing you want to do is download widget locker long press and then download a widget called minimalistic text so i'll scroll down here and show you it's got different versions so what i chose the horizontal six by one so um in the settings i'll show you what i did but you can actually set this any way you want so that's how it basically looks like stock but um we don't want something like that so i'll show you what i did um first thing i did was actually uh uncheck show background so it's actually clear so that kind of uh makes it transparent and i think that looks better in general but you can do what you want really and i've chosen a custom layout here so the first one i've got an hour text 12 hours and then i've got a minute text part 1 and minute text part 2. so um the first hour one is just default style same with the first minute but the second minute is a normal style and the point is 10 pixels so um on the normal style i've got a one pixel blur radius and a normal blur style 37d dip for the second one and um two pixel blur radius and normal style as well and for the third one uh 59 dip and two pixel radius and normal blur star once again and i changed the third one to black color just to make it look a bit different so what the blur radius actually does it kind of makes it a softer edge so it looks um uh kind of blends into the background a bit more and looks better something you want to do is get a custom slider so you can just go to google search xda custom themes and then you'll get custom sliders pretty much and what i'm using is um called white bar okay so this is just another one so they can it looks like that basically but we don't want that one so um when you set up the white bar when it pretty much knows where to go so once you drag and drop it should work out and um so that's the one i chose um and next thing you want to do is uh set up your widget locker uh grid size i've done six by seven but actually you should probably do this first but yeah six by seven works well and you also want to make sure your alternative wallpaper setting is unchecked because then the background comes through and it's kind of transparent and i've chosen a zoom effect so when you unlock everything kind of zooms up in and i think that looks really good so um once you've done all this next thing you want to do is set up your live wallpaper so the one i've got is a live wallpaper called blue skies and uh it's it's pretty cool it's kind of uh has a virtual world that changes time of day depending on the actual real world time of day so basically if it's day in the real world it'll look like day and you'll see what i mean in a second so um this is a fast day setting so it's kind of to test your colors to see if they look realistic or whatever you can choose custom colors for day and night so um yeah it will go through this cycle and it's pretty cool because every time you look at your phone it's kind of like a massive clock because you can kind of tell already what roughly what time of day it is because of the sun so that's pretty cool um expanding on that uh another live wallpaper called my beach um same kind of thing changes the virtual world changes the same time of day as the normal time of day as well um pretty cool but i think it uses up more battery so um yeah you can kind of just look around the beach as well when you pan home catch screens yeah so if you like that video and um i think it's just another cool way to make your phone a bit more interesting please rate comment and subscribe cheers oh and if you're wondering on how i did any of the other customizations just check out any one of my tutorial videos on my channel and you should um get your answer
