hello everybody and welcome to a short tutorial on how to remove noise from your audio recordings for this I use audacity version 2.0.1 it's a free audio editor that you can use on your own to try this at home and um the first step you want to do for your audio future recordings is to leave the first one or two seconds of your recording free so don't speak don't make any noise no clicking no breathing no clapping no talking just the noise of your equipment because even if you use good equipment there will be noise from the equipment from the microphone from the computer whatever you use there will be noise trust me let's listen to this file sounds like this this is a test recording for my tutorial depending on the quality of your headphones or speakers you might not be able to hear the noise but it is there and I show you so to do this click on audio track and select waveform DB and now you can clearly see in the first second of my recording there's a lot of constant noise but there's nothing else in it's just the noise which is very important for us so select the first second with just the noise go to eect go to noise removal and there is a two-step process step one just click on get noise profile in the area that we just selected and the window is just closing it looks like nothing happened but actually a profile was defined from this area from just a noise which is why there shouldn't be anything else in there because the profile which was generated from this will be used to clean the rest of your recording everything even your voice everything that is there will be cleaned using this profile so if there's clapping or clicking or any other thing in there this will also be substracted from the rest of the sound so your sound is worse shouldn't do that so now we want to select all the audio file the complete recording go to effect again select noise removal again now step two leave the settings as they are because they're pretty good or just use the settings I have on screen right now and click on okay the noise it has to be where here it says noise it has to be blue where it says remove not isolate because isolate is just the noise remove is uh anything but the noise pretty simple click on okay and the noise is gone let's have a look at that this is a test recorder for my tutorial as you can see pretty clean no noise whatsoever sounds like you have the best equipment on planet Earth and um of course better equipment is always better for sound recording but if you have a bad microphone you can now make it sound really good what you want to do if you improve the sound any further because if you as you can see here in just waveform is that my voice sound is pretty low it's pretty not so loud you know and if you improve that further with a compressor or with a maximizer or with any other tools use the noise removal as the last step because the noise removal will also be enhanced if you use it as the first step and from the noise removal you will have fragmentation you will have how can I say crippled sound inside of your sound and that would be enhanced if you do it first but if you do it last you en you remove the enhanced noise from the enhan audio recording and that works pretty well and you won't hear any fragmentation or any crippled sound at all in your recordings well and that's it it's pretty easy it's pretty fast and your sound is amazing after that so do it thank you for watching and look out for my other tutorials where I show you how to use a noise gate to remove breathing sound or how to enhance your sound with the methods that I just mentioned see you soon thanks for watching and please rate the video thank you bye
