forks people uh sorry one sec the answer is always easy what up sexy bastards holy [ __ ] what a morning god damn what up kevin james different looks same noah gary cooper i don't know your name bravo duck what's up sexy choir in the house what up guy i never remember the name for some reason cause you always post another name esteban what up rj what up homie john crestani what up dog this is lambo driving [ __ ] i like this dude uh jason blake what up gang how's the ride going we're gonna talk about that [ __ ] today it is friday i just got off a call uh with this guy anthony pompliano sorry was that too annoying probably on it but it was pomp wow cool that was like amazing you know it's like one of the best things is to meet interesting [ __ ] people and just get like fired up aaron shu my asian black brother good to see you craig h but tima's back matt baron what up homie jod in the house chris quinn the biking's going my man the biking's going i'm going back on the road wednesday i'm just taking a break for a bit yes dieter what up dog jesse estrada oh my god tacos and mountain biking sound hella good i have been eating a [ __ ] ton of tacos on the road rick johnson what up dog who else is here sean park keaton francis michael h you pitched him on the company did he give you the money who's that julio badina sounds like a drug dealer's name i like it and that i mean it does reed smith how am i thanks for asking that was very nice of you i'm great just had a an hour chat with pomp that was fire last night uh iraq he's a youtuber he's 24 uh [ __ ] hung out with him for i don't know a few hours i'm gonna hang out with him today at four these kids these days these [ __ ] millennials man they're impressive they're the millennials are just cool as [ __ ] uh i think in terms of how i am little tarik's like i was so excited i took a bath last night i was like no you deserve a bath go bathe yourself in your own water your scum water so i took a bath and i was like damn life is [ __ ] good and uh and i think one thing about life is just like meeting interesting [ __ ] people gives me so much energy i don't know if you guys feel the same way about that and then i'd say the second thing is just i was reflecting this morning andrew chen one of my best friends you guys check him out uh he was like it's interesting about progress so like what's a skill that you're excellent in that you're trying to progress in and he commented this morning he's like you have a skill you get really good at and then you quit and i was like huh that's interesting like starting businesses in marketing and then now you want to be a youtuber he's like huh and then i mean i'm reflecting on that this morning what's going on with y'all how was your guys weeks thank you for asking reid what up william o'connell my legal assistant george i don't look skinnier i just shaved my [ __ ] beard mom i know you're gonna hear this but i'm swearing a bit but yeah i think i've probably lost some weight i weigh 176.2 i wanted to weigh myself to see what would happen in three months when i'm in connecticut how much i weigh uh what up how was your guys [ __ ] week tell me about your weeks i actually what up daniel flowers i put in bath salts kevin i put in bath salts it was delightful you offered him equity for nothing i don't need money i need investors believers in my concept you know what you need is beliebers you gotta go [ __ ] get bieber on your stuff man that's how shit's gonna start changing for you what up vicky gore i haven't heard your name before but i'm glad you're here my man i think inserted uh when is round two a giveaway of business i'm honestly michael bond i'm frustrated as [ __ ] with that straight up because we gave it to tony and i like tony as a person but he's not working on it and it's disappointing and i think it's my fault for not having a more honestly like hard process to actually get the company so i don't think he's taking out that [ __ ] serious i think he cares but he's not putting in the work and it's like well you're not gonna get the results for it and so it was i lost ten thousand dollars as of now so giving away a second business we'll probably do it is just one in terms of giving away ten thousand dollars that's not the most best roi in terms of growing the audience um i think we can do other things with 10k that would be more fun and more effective and grow in the audience i know that more fun that was fun of [ __ ] but probably do stuff for a thousand that would get a similar result oh this coffee looks [ __ ] gross or this uh yogurt you guys i actually met these guys back in the day siggy out in new york really interesting icelandic yogurt who else is in the house yov jason beliebers i like justin bieber dude no shame in him i'm no shame that i'll say that [ __ ] publicly great friday david sue you know how i know i hang out with asians because i'm not like oh david hsu some asian people right there you guys are believers what up simon fletcher you guys have questions i'm just gonna do questions i don't really have a thorough agenda today we're just hanging out scott rogner good week bike ride this morning yes but just in la no cross country trips yet scott i'm in venice california i did put this house on uh instagram if you guys are curious to see honestly i should have just been like yo i'm trying to [ __ ] humble brag so that people females slide in the dms mom you have no idea what i just said don't worry about it but anyways if you guys are curious about some of the pictures and behind the scenes it's over there if you guys have questions tell me about your weeks and then i'll just answer some questions just hang out today uh let's ride tomorrow actually maybe i wanted to go on a gravel ride so i won't i'm probably not gonna ride for seven days uh so i got here wednesday i'm gonna leave leave next wednesday so i want to have days off but i'll probably ride on saturday um slide in my dm oh the house we're staying at yeah this is ridiculous this is like so we were filming yesterday uh we're filming again you see kind of like the setup but the house is just like it's nice it's nice um kevin i don't like hearing that you got a [ __ ] weak man i'm sorry to hear that tell me one good thing today or what's one thing good thing you're gonna do for yourself oh janine the bike ride thoughts if you it was one thing we talked to this guy pomp i think one thing that was oh by the way huge chocolate so [ __ ] good but what i think that was interesting was just like how much time we're allocating for thinking how much time have we been thinking allocating for thinking and uh i think not i think but i'm on a bike for four hours all i have to do is think that's like all i really am doing i was actually surprised how much i enjoyed the quietness and so it gives me a lot of time to like think about things and then the one i have a bunch of bike thoughts so i'm on the bike and then i'm like uh audio voice dictation so definitely uh make some time for thinking you know more time for that it makes it so much better why did you guys stop doing appsumo gift cards because we were selling gift cards at a discount and then it's we're already a discount or you know sales special business the other thing and so the other thing so that's number one where it's like we're already on sale two it was creating a lot of float in terms of the amount of outstanding credits which i we didn't want to have on the balance sheet and have to deal with and it's very addicting to be like oh we can sell these gift cards but it's just selling the future today uh and then there are gift cards you can buy for other people if that's something that if that's your actual question like you want to buy a gift card for someone else george hit me up on slack and i can get you a gift card if you want to give it to someone else if you guys have want to join i think most you guys are already in or applied we have a private slack group it's free there's no mastermind [ __ ] or sales that's okay door.com underdogs do i meditate no but i think after this bike ride i'm going to instill some habit of either five minutes of writing or 10 minutes of writing or 10 minutes of thinking every single day uh i think that's just been so amazing uh to have that space for it or just because the biking like forces it uh andrew's right yeah so andrew chen one of my best friends i'll put him up here for i think he's andrew chen on twitter you guys should go check him out i'll post a link to them and so david his point was like no you're a really good marketer you're really good at starting and then instead of continuing marketing and starting businesses you're like i'm gonna go do youtube not wrong but it definitely plants us and you know he's very about venture capital and growing businesses and billion dollars and all this [ __ ] and so i don't think he's wrong um but he's like you're great you have greatness but you're not mostly going into it once you're great at something you kind of like go to something new which i don't think is entirely bad just something to kind of reflect do i mentor entrepreneurs yeah that's what i'm doing right here presence is meditation maybe what else is going on uh what up my digital marketing journey what a crazy name your parents gave you um do you think an online course has a how innovative original you chocolate really good you know what's interesting you asked the question but i think you know the answer i think you can't see my face because your question's so big it's not like a penis joke um i think you know the question i think you're asking like how and like does it have to be original does it have to be valuable does it have to be you know to be successful i think that you're missing the question the question and i hate when people say that i think one of the most offensive things you say to someone is like you're one you're missing the question or you're asking the wrong question two another thing to say it's offensive is like calm down yeah i think you should calm down really bad questions to say to people but i think the real the thing that really is is more important is a how effective is the course yeah and then b how desirable is that i is that uh course for people so a course could be on anything how to pour coffee if i have a course on how to eat yogurt which i'm going to do shortly this show is sponsored by ciggies no one might probably gives a [ __ ] about it so it's not that valuable for people so even if it's really effective so i think you have to kind of combine those two things the way i've done it with courses and we've done it pretty well over the years we don't really promote any course that we've created ourselves right now is go do it manually and see if you can manually get people to pay and manually if you get results and from that you know move the material online what happened to neville's model oh his mental models um he launched it i can't tell his sales numbers it's kind of up to him to decide let me see um i'll show it life-changing not so funny life-changing i think we knew when he launched the mental model stuff let me share the screen so here's neville's mental models thing uh i don't want to share his sales numbers because that's for him to decide if he wants to sell uh he hasn't gotten any reviews oh pending moderation approved um i think the thing i would say is that the sales are lower than i expect but i think he also put out something that he knew wasn't maybe gonna sell well to this appsumo audience the sumo lings and that's it and he was okay with that and so he got the results for it and so i think we're talking about selling a course it's like are you putting out something that people are like yes yes i really really want it or hey i really want to put out this thing i don't know if people are going to buy it or not like okay well don't expect to have great results or not uh he definitely sold i won't say the exact number but it's been a week he's sold less than 50. what up people rick johnson didn't you guys place bets on how many sales he had yeah he definitely sold less i think he's probably fine with it i think the other thing is he hasn't really promoted it because i do think yes appsumo brings people customers on the marketplace but if you want the like the snowball rolling you have to push it to get the momentum dude that's awesome your mom's friends read it hell yeah i like that my mom watches my videos and she reads my newsletter i like my mom's uh engaging in that stuff i think neville in terms of what dj star u and youngling as well i think you guys are having great points it's i think what neville did which is great is he got in the process of doing like one of the things i was seeing around the bike ride is like get outside start doing it was like it's like get out do something yeah get outside do something shiraj you're not late you're right on time are we in a simulation yep this is all pre-recorded uh are there aliens yeah it's probably you other aliens yeah a hundred percent 100 is jesus real yeah 100 100 uh uh have i been doing some career thinking after what andrew told me he told me like an hour ago when we were having coffee in the morning uh i think we're having a lot of conversations about appsumo.com in the business he's the only advisor investor in the company and so we were just having discussion about the future of it and my involvement and where the company goes and then what i'm really talented at his point fatima which i thought was interesting was you're good at youtube like you like the attention you like interacting with the audience i love your guys comments i like seeing you guys take action i like that i get to meet people like pomp and eric and jake tran he's like but it's hard for you to have you're not the best not yet and i'm getting better at it but he's like you're one of the best in marketing you know the best at starting but you kind of to somebody said stop doing that and now you're competing equally it's like you should compete unequally and it doesn't mean i should go jump into whatever andrew says even though he's exceptionally smart but it's something to reflect on and i think something for all of you guys to think kind of think about it's like what am i exceptionally gifted at and better than most people it's not just about being better than others what am i exceptionally great at and yeah something to think about i'll have i only have three months of sitting four hours a day on a bike to think about it what would you what advice would you give about guru gifting so i don't know if this is like a an are you talking about an indian guru like an ashram what are we talking about here uh i think what you're asking is if you want to connect with other people what can you do um well i think with guru gifting if you're trying to assume like how do you send someone like me a gift or andrew chen a gift or this pomp guy gift the question is most of the people that you want to give probably are rich i would assume and so is what is it unique that you can send them that they probably wouldn't get themselves or it's not necessarily maybe about money so either a it's some experience or b it's some item that's just like either you created they actually want like don't people send me like oh here's a book i wrote i'm like i want your [ __ ] book like oh wow you wrote a book and now what are you gonna [ __ ] do with your book write my ass like i just don't get it like i didn't send you my [ __ ] and make you force you to read it oh 69 people no one leave right now there's only 69 of here no one go anywhere nah 68 all right show's over so my mom's like what what is this 69 you're 69 why is that number so important um and so i the thing i would say is either a some unique experience that they would be excited uh or some gift based on what you know about them uh that they'd be like oh my god that is so amazing so what is an example of that great question daniel today there's some people in la i wanted to meet so we set up uh the porsche driving experience so today later in the day i invited people i wanted to connect with to go drive porsches yeah they [ __ ] said yes to it versus emailing them being like hey do you want to come on my podcast and uh you know and then gifting wise like i think you just have to know what they're into and find something that a they can afford it probably but find something that they would personally just like wow that's [ __ ] thoughtful and cool uh the other thing i'd say with the gifting of items which i'm a great gift giver i'm actually very good at it and thoughtful about it is that i do think you have to stay persistent with it meaning a lot of people send a gift and the person's like wow that was cool and then a year later they reach out i'm like [ __ ] i don't remember you so you do have to kind of keep the follow-up going john how do you find angel investors you don't you get to the point where you don't need them i mean that's it at the end of the day like the best way to get an investor is to not need the investor so if you want to get investors i would try to get some success or momentum within the business and then then those people [ __ ] come to you or you're like hey i don't [ __ ] need you guys i'm kicking a bunch of ass versus like if you're going to pomp with these people and you're like you sound desperate like yo take some equity i need some credibility like they get that [ __ ] all day they want the stuff that's like yo i [ __ ] want this stuff like oh my god this guy's [ __ ] fire it's already it's gonna happen one way or another i want to be a part of this the [ __ ] spaceship i mean if you're doing 500 000 a month then why the question john isn't why aren't people investing if it's doing so great for me with sales which i've done a lot of sales over my life it's like it's doing so great if it's so amazing like why are they why are they saying no when we did sleepsumo.com some [ __ ] [ __ ] bought it because i let the domain lap so i guess maybe they're not [ __ ] yeah now they're selling to me four thousand bucks [ __ ] these people um i was looking up the domain sleep sumo.com i started a blog with uh julian just to show people this is like before now there's like a [ __ ] ton of sleep blogs and um why don't i do another challenge like that for upstream and get people to apply to do the work to show what can be achieved with with the site i don't know just like starting another [ __ ] online blog or starting some of the stuff is not that interesting to me right now so i don't want to do it that's like telling you to stop drinking wine you just don't want to do it yeah i mean caleb it's an interesting point we don't know what john's story is uh but yeah in terms of investing you know you need investing if there's a way of turning that capital even to more capital so i uh i don't know if it's an angel or if it's you know series a or whatever the hell that is but i think people should raise money if it's very clear that there is a way to return even more money it was ahead of its time sleepsumo.com i called i did call that i was like yo start a blog doing all the sleep stuff because it's gonna be big i did that about five six years ago and uh it became very big how did you overcome youtube what up sexy best how are you guys doing today you guys [ __ ] fired up it was like started real f hot real firey and then it kind of like slowed down um let me see um overcome video creators block uh i think committee knowing that i'm going to commit to 100 made it definitely easier i was like yeah i'm just going to commit to 100 videos i think the other question that really is simple about that is like what is what videos do you actually excited to make i think for a lot of the people doing a lot of this content [ __ ] they're like hey i'm doing this stuff because i think it's going to be popular but i don't really want to do it it's like well that's a good recipe for quitting so just think about what videos for the next hundred are you excited to be doing i think machine learning and ai are over hyped i think it's just actually the same algorithms they just have cooler names right now same with no code we've had this no code [ __ ] for a while uh it's just a cooler name so i don't know who's the best thought leader in that [ __ ] i don't follow it yep law of 100 do 100 of them 100 videos 100 emails 100 sales 100 calls dude rick do we have a love connection here rick and john you guys should uh have a make out sesh let's dude i like [ __ ] matt's energy all right what else cracking oh jacob graf what up young one young blood in the house do people still read blogs i asked this question last week remember we all talked about i don't know if y'all remember we talked about it uh how many people here have read a blog i also think the definition of a blog has changed so i think blogs have become more newsletters [ __ ] love newsletters okay door.com we created senfox.com i'm a [ __ ] huge newsletter fan uh i think blogs have become more like newsletters so it's similar in terms of the information uh just a different a little bit of a different medium right now in terms of getting your inbox two questions for you guys here's the two [ __ ] things about that i'm curious one what up lisa two questions one do you guys notice you use facebook less and i think you guys are there's a good amount of 30 year olds here i think there's a few of your 20 year old you young bucks but i've like i [ __ ] maybe use facebook every other week maybe once a week so i'm curious for you guys like are you guys is facebook [ __ ] dead facebook sucks one it sucks it's [ __ ] i don't know how to [ __ ] use it but like facebook yeah [ __ ] sucks write that down in a thought thought diary yeah facebook [ __ ] sucks dude i'm on twitter a lot i'm on instagram a lot that's just [ __ ] awesome so yeah is it just me is anyone here like i would hope someone here is like yo i [ __ ] i'm hell into facebook i use this [ __ ] to like do all this stuff i i use facebook for groups but even that like it's so cluttered it's really hard to kind of use that stuff what up vin good to see you man i'm using instagram list vinnie oh what up man so i actually like instagram because i unfollow i only follow a few people uh and i think that's what's made it interesting so i think that would be my suggestion for you uh if you're following all these people and it's just like boring uh or like honestly on instagram i find 25 try to do 25 people or less and it just makes it valuable but yeah i'm like twitter instagram youtube [ __ ] facebook yeah is anyone using facebook yeah it seems like facebook's a little bit dead here's the second one i'm curious your guys take care you guys take how many of y'all are using email lust tell me talk to me this is safe this is a safe space for you you can say whatever you want i might put it on screen but you could safe it's mostly safe i check email but like email just seems to be less important to me yeah i mean f facebook messenger people use ig is easy what up casey yeah facebook is like it's so cluttered and i'm like i'm a boomer not liking it boomers are supposed to like that [ __ ] i feel like twitter's cooler snapchat don't use it but that's cool but like email i've just noticed my email usage is like i go in i'm like [ __ ] all these emails i'm not saying we don't use facebook i'm not saying we don't use email i just noticed that like my usage activity in terms of the signal to noise ratio like twitter dms instagram dms super high and i do check my email often probably just like every one of you i'm just thinking from a marketing and a communication with your customers and business perspective like how does that change the future of companies and communication yeah i know it's just like using it less and less and less yeah it seems like a lot of you guys too right no interesting interesting times my friend interesting times all right john are you real are you a robot it's almost like you have so many questions i don't know if you're like a real human what's my craziest prediction for the future that most people disagree about you with i think there's a high likelihood based on science i'm making that up that in less than 200 years an asteroid is going to destroy the universe that's a crazy prediction so i think we're very concerned with global warming how to make money how to have sex how to watch porn when in our lifetime maybe it won't happen but probably within 200 years an asteroid's gonna kill us all so i don't give a [ __ ] i don't know asteroids if that's conspiracy but some [ __ ] thing is going to fly out of space by the way john john and vin and musical entrepreneur i don't know why you can't change your name to be your name i don't like yeah if it's not an asteroid there's gonna be some [ __ ] it's not global warming i'll tell you that [ __ ] that's gonna kill everyone i don't know how we got on this topic let's go back to happier stuff have i had a heart attack about lifting my crypto 40 flu no you know why because i went and [ __ ] bought more because if you believe in it then you actually are like wow a lot of people are pussing out thinking it sucks i'm still into it i still like it i'm gonna buy more of it and by the way just let me be clear i think [ __ ] are stronger than penises so i should actually say i was penising people are penising out and getting weak they're like i love this crypto stuff i believe in it oh i'm not rich overnight yeah i'm selling i'm like i thought it was interesting i still like it oh now people are selling out yeah i'm gonna buy a lot more of it so i bought a lot last night if you believe you can achieve youngley you're better today you had some weird-ass humor the past two weeks i don't know what's wrong with you you're trying so [ __ ] hard yeah i bought bitcoin ethereum last night probably like i don't know whatever how much 10 gs 15 gs i oh have i used metamask yes i like metamask i think it's actually interesting that's kind of i like investing or trying to buy or be a part of the companies i haven't done a lot of it um that are the the tools so if everyone's trying to create software like appsumo is the platform to buy and sell software so if crypto everyone's going crazy like what are the tools that are buying that help you enable to do that and i think metamask is a really good one uh where should you be buying your crypto wherever the [ __ ] i'm buying it either in blockfi.com i don't tell you guys because i want to get hacked but there's a but there's someone just google uh did i buy any dodge coin no and i will tell you on the bike ride for about an hour i thought about dodge coin i might as well call it dick coin or like uh [ __ ] coin and it was just like why i was jealous because i saw it at a low price and i didn't buy it and then it got higher and i didn't buy it and i was like well noah you've never believed in it to begin with you think it's [ __ ] stupid to begin with so why would you want to put any money into that and who [ __ ] cares what any of these dumbasses buy and sell and hope they got rich overnight do and i was like yeah i'm glad you thought about it good who cares about it you gotta penis out penis out it means you're being a wussy dick coin with skyrocket all these coins are you know i think the technology and stuff is fascinating but i think there's a lot of people praying that it makes a millionaires overnight and you see these articles about dumbasses getting rich off it overnight uh i think you have to be mindful of that it is very hard to get rich and stay rich overnight what up esteban i don't care about how it's pronounced i don't give a [ __ ] i just think people are like way too excited am i using an atr 200 yes so i actually bought it and i'm gonna leave it here in la but i bought a microphone and i bought a nicer camera because i'm interviewing i did pomp today and i'm interviewing this author like morgan housel they have another one uh tomorrow have i bought any nft yes uh i bought nba top shots she couldn't [ __ ] log into my account yesterday that was annoying i'm not i'm in a great mood i know i like i feel like i'm coming across like oh man yeah yeah uh but yeah i tried to buy some [ __ ] yesterday but i sold a lot of it because i thought all this shit's gonna collapse and then it collapsed um but i can you see my screen yeah so these are nfts oh no one bought my germany grant try to sell this [ __ ] i i mean it's i'm not a collector i'm not like a collector of this kind of stuff wow it was at 99 and now it's at like six that's crazy um so i have a few of these like i got them in packs because it was pretty fun how much are these selling for let's see uh i think few you guys might have them it's selling 89 this is 300 years ago i wanted to keep one or two but it's actually pretty interesting i made i bought probably like 300 worth and i made like i think i ended up getting around 900. i wanted i think one of the things that's important here simon is how do you understand what's going on does it mean you chase it and i that was something i really liked what pomp was saying today is like you can't go and get you know chase all the stuff see what bubbles up but i think what i found really important is just you at least want to dabble to see if it's something that makes sense to you if you're interesting um and it's something you want to explore more what is my favorite book uh i'm really i really liked million miles in a thousand years by donald miller that's the one that inspired this whole bike ride shout out donna miller what are my thoughts on flipping sneakers we call them trainers um i'm not into that stuff i liked flipping things that i personally wanted to buy i don't buy and sell shoes but like i don't know if you guys remember i was flipping oculus's during covid uh i flipped a lot of computers in college i would buy and fix laptops um i try to buy and flip uh concert tickets i think every time i've done that i've lost money um but no i have not uh the flipping sneakers it's just not my thing but i think there's you know collector stuff um is not generally my forte because i'm not like a high fashion falutin person so you know buying and flipping high-end items is not my thing i'm more of a value person the only thing that i've gotten into a little bit as an investor i would say and honestly because kind of as a collector is more rolexes i've been researching blockchain smart contracts and dapps all week i don't know the decentralized apps crypto gaming and theorem network is the next big thing i think gaming you know gaming has been around 100 years money has been around hundreds of years so i don't think any of this is new it's just a new form of it and so you have to wonder you know the funny thing is like when dollars came out you have to imagine if you think that's actually really interesting when dollars came out they're like why would i want to have this paper when i have gold that's guaranteed and you know it's rare these dollars are silly and then when credit cards came out they're like credit cards ugh i don't know about this stuff and you know i think where a lot of us are including myself as you get older too kind of just uh cynical immediately on things so i think it's kind of like at least check yourself and how you want to decide from it after there uh is up to you falutin noah kagan raw has 666 subscribers i don't know if i want to keep this channel because we get less people showing up even though you guys are all gorgeous i [ __ ] love you i like honestly more people [ __ ] coming like it's a better use of my time and i think it's more fun to have a [ __ ] ton of people like talking stuff and interacting gold doesn't give dividends all this dividend [ __ ] around the crypto stuff there's like staking and farming and yields and loan rates a lot of it seems like a scam and sometimes you know things that seem silly become serious which you know why but like some of it's just like a little bit ludicrous like you can stake for all these stuff like a little bit crazy what do i collect and what do you are you a collector no i don't collect shoes i don't have a lot of clothes like on this bike trip one of the things that's awesome about this bike trip i literally have like now i have three shirts one pair of shorts one pair of pants pair of shoes sandals one pair of underwear so i have to be very careful with that underwear uh so i don't collect a lot of stuff thank god i think the only thing i've started collecting is rolex's based on uh accomplishments as kind of like cool milestones and you guys never i don't know if about you notice you almost never see me wear rolex because i don't like wearing watches or jewelry besides my earrings dude so john i'll just be straight with you i like you you seem interesting plus you want to do cool ass [ __ ] which i'm always into people that want to do stupid [ __ ] i think on your youtube channel um i was surprised i'll just be real hey be real dog how real be real real dude kill my father if you guys know that's where that skits from oh actually okay interesting john i think i will do it if i'm i'll be real with you when i first saw your channel it was like you had a big dick subscriber number oh look here let's even change it all right now you got one and a half million second subscribers 1.25 so i like that i like that you do cool [ __ ] right so when i go to someone's channel i'm like i look at the ratio of engagement so i'm like oh he's actually got like big videos he's got a cool haircut he's got a beard i [ __ ] with all that i like that but what was concerning for me and i'm curious what's going on with you and i'll just show you is that a lot of your recent videos proportionally don't have a lot of engagement and so that tells me either a you're not active which you're not uh or b that you're you have an older channel that your audience isn't going to really be as engaged so proportionately for my time is that a good roi and that's what i have to consider so that's straight up what i'm thinking uh i like that your last videos have gotten it um can you slide in my dms i think mitchell's talked with you and we can coordinate while i'm out here uh doing some [ __ ] like on it i know you got dudes yeah look i'm not hating on you by the way i hope you don't feel like this is a hate session because you guys know that noah does do a lot of hating maybe i don't always share it but i definitely and i think i've been less of hating but that's just where my mind was when i was like hey should we do something with this guy that was my consideration all of us have time everyone here is important like one thing i was thinking about on my bike ride john was like no one gives a [ __ ] about how rich anyone is or anyone's accomplishments they only care about themself i'm sorry you got burnt out i don't know about sorry it's you know burnout [ __ ] happens i think with all of life it's like how do you sustain things and then how do you figure out when to [ __ ] quit those are really hard questions and then also association like if you're not taking it seriously and i'm putting on a channel that like gets fourth out like right here it's like 2 000 views like uh it's tough how are you gonna get back to doing it consistently but yeah holler at me and then we can talk about it please talk about my bike ride uh yeah i'd love to talk about the bike ride oh yeah um i wanna damn i could take and show you guys do you guys want me to show you yeah i'll show you i'm gonna unplug stuff so i might go crazy for a second hold on i'm gonna change the cam to the facetime cam and i'm gonna change the audio to the see me here wow this is actually [ __ ] way better this piece of [ __ ] camera all right oh yeah i'm gonna show you two things i'll just so look this is filming for the youtube the youtubes all right i'll show you the bike stuff i want to answer bike stuff i think andrew's in a meeting so i have to be relatively quiet all right so here's my bike there's my bicycle should be quiet andrew's in a meeting next um so here's the bike this is everything i'm carrying to connecticut it's a trek checkpoint sl7 so it's a gravel bike so gravel just means the tires are wider it's got a bigger clearance this breaks it's a electric shifting i think it's like an axis uh sram is the brand i have a uh it's a wahoo so this is my little computer i don't use my phone or anything so just kind of gives you a map but it shows you your stats uh water bag by the way here's one thing our team the team on the youtube channel like thinks it's going to suck do you guys want to put out a youtube video about this stuff because i think it's so [ __ ] interesting about it uh i have generally i carry three water bottles so i'm curious if you guys want me to put out a video about this where i go into a little bit more detail i love you guys opinion on it um show us the bike all right all right i got the bike all right uh so water bottle here snack bag so this is where i carry the gopro so i carry a few things in here snacks i have a emergency gps device plus it sends location to my family uh mini powerbank and then i have snacks also [ __ ] man i need some time sometimes oh here we go all right add to paper then these are my like kind of this is um maintenance stuff so goop it'll fill the tires of the tire pops spare tire bike lock it's called a hip lock so it's very thin very lightweight but it'll stop someone here's a postcard if anyone lives in the states i'll send someone a postcard if you slide on my dm send me your address first person states sends me an address oh this is good cbd cream for my butt ooh pen i bought some other stuff so i just bought this tape in case and then this is my frame bag so this is where i put my laptop water bottle and then i have a seat bag here uh that is where my clothes go have i had a tire pop not yet one of our friends on the ride had a tiger pop he actually had a screw going to his tire i'll actually show you guys some of the clothes i think the clothes are pretty interesting was that knife and open up yes it was like a number seven opener i've not had a tire pop oh my god yes so anna the thing is like it doesn't i wanna i think i'm just gonna make a video about the gear because it's so interesting all right i'm gonna do a humble brag this [ __ ] room is gangster so one gangster ass like a fireplace and then i know i didn't drink this is where that's where i took a bath last night would it be hella funny there's like tissues all around it with like a big bottle of lotion like [Music] uh and then clothes wise i'll show you some of the clothes so one pair of like after riding shorts so they're actually there's there's no liner in them so i don't have to wear underwear uh so i've been doing that gopro gopros [ __ ] suck they honestly do after riding sandals actually been pretty good these are zero brand basically light you can fold them up and all that stuff travel backpack i haven't actually got one one rule i have which has been good is that if i don't use it for three days i let it go i haven't actually used this backpack so i might ship it maybe i'll ship it i haven't i've used it once because honestly you know all the weight matters uh lightweight jacket so it's an absolutely you guys have seen this one before that's silver sumo lightweight jacket uh one pair lightweight pants these are western rise evolution and then uh gravel shirt this is from petal it's a japanese company long sleeve shirt club ride um viking shorts these are by or not it's a san francisco brand uh basically i think that's more or less it uh i did have these bibs so these are shorts but honestly my ass was a [ __ ] fire yeah so i bought rafa ones i can hate roth as a brand i think all the people that always work in the store suck but these they're too tight so i have to return them um heart rate monitor so i like tracking that data and then hat so put that under the helmet that's more or less the um the stuff i'm carrying i have a few and then toiletries i try to get micro versions of all the toiletry stuff so mini deodorant this is butt helper more butt helper sunblock i'm really into sunblock if you guys know that like if you're a dude you're not [ __ ] putting on some oh leah what's up leah i'm glad you showed up if you're not putting on sunblock every day men women you guys already took care of your [ __ ] for all the dudes out there rick john all you guys like if you're not [ __ ] sunblocking you look like [ __ ] and you'll be like dude i [ __ ] should have listened to noah more sunblock and i do carry my collagen pills gotta keep that face young travel toothbrush i did buy this here in la shaver i don't know if i'm gonna bring it with me though i might actually just leave it here and that that's pretty much everything oh chapstick glasses uh then yeah in terms of experience on the bike ride it's just i think the whole part is just meeting people and seeing the world in a different way one guy like works for canyon bikes theater you know canyon bikes and he uh just like hey are you riding i'm like yeah i was like hey we should go for a ride so i think i'm gonna ride with him on saturday or next week um yeah the post-fried cream is essential one of the challenges is like how heavy of equipment should you be carrying so like i have this laptop and like i bought gear to make videos and i'm renting some of it uh i'm just gonna leave it so if you're in la and you want some camera gear probably just give it away i don't think i'd sell it i don't use garmin i use a wahoo for the computer mic computer by computer what kind of collagen pills do i take let me look i'm bald just like you what guess what anyone could be bald if you shave your head that's pretty funny actually um any cool places to ride in utah oh i'll show you guys the map so here's where i'm thinking of going uh if you guys oh man i actually want more people to ride with me as long as they're relatively cool um i buy these these are the supplements i use for collagen this has been pretty cool i'm happy to show you guys um these are the collagen pills i buy purchased 11 times that's what's up yes i [ __ ] care about not looking ugly do i have so what's interesting about the seat um there are really good seats i think i have a pretty good seat um a lot of the seat things it's actually really interesting bike measurement it's your pelvic uh distance it's like how wide your pelvic muscle is because that's where it sits on the seat uh so you get it measured and my pelvic hopefully thick and [ __ ] fits the seat um good point though on saturday i'll go to the bike stop and get my butt measured again but i bought new bibs and i should get my my stuff my saddle double checked check out bikes good point you know when you guys are right you're right uh those are the collagen pills i buy there are definitely better bike seats you should use butt butter during the ride i have so much stuff up my ass deeper during the ride like i can't put more up there there's like chamois powder there's the butt bag bomb i i got a lot dude so in terms of the location uh damn i like doing good side buzz butt measuring all right so in terms of the the route this is the uh so uh basically dieter for the people asking we're gonna go more or less this way i'm leaving wednesday i'm trying to figure out if anyone's good at this stuff i would love feedback so then palm springs to flagstaff flagstaff to albuquerque more or less like this oh what's happening here so it's kind of like that so let me just zoom i'll zoom back in for y'all this is interesting for you guys i think it's super interesting i'm [ __ ] super interested in it um so i rode by the way we rode from it's all funny how big things look depending on how you zoom out like you was doing like wow that guy didn't do [ __ ] or if you zoom in you're like oh man he did a lot so we rode from santa cruz right here around here down to venice and then on wednesday i'm running with my good buddy johnny from venice to palm springs and then he's piecing out then i'm running palm springs probably a flag staff i think they'll be a little bit more pretty there are other things i want to see but it's also like so much time i don't want to go to vegas because there's a lot of climbing um my family lives here so i'm going to go to albuquerque from flagstaff albuquerque uh riding to oklahoma city that's going to probably be boring as [ __ ] and then arkansas boring as [ __ ] and then i'm excited for memphis i think that's going to be hella exciting uh and then nashville donald miller's there so i don't think he wants to hang out with me though and then this is just on the fruits i haven't finalized it uh exactly that route if you guys are curious to follow along by the way okay door.com where's noah uh has a lot of my details so the rough ride my daily stuff on strava the gear i'm using and i'll probably update it over time ever been to big sur yeah it's awesome i'm from california i love it here big sur is amazing do i read neil stephenson i have tried reading kryptonomicon or snow crasher and it was [ __ ] weird as [ __ ] so i didn't i stopped where am i on the map right now i am in let me show you back at it again daniel with the white vans i'm in venice beach so venice beach is like this is the so these are canal the canals are famous um venice beach is here santa monica there's a pretty famous pier um hollywood is over here beverly hills bel air you guys have probably heard of that and like the movies and stuff and actually i think like downtown l.a is like no i think it's over here is that downtown really huh yeah so downtown is here yeah so downtown beverly hills santa monica esposito let's meet up in memphis i'll reach out do it do it hit me up on instagram that's probably used i'm doing a lot of instagram doing a lot of twittering luck cabana in venice checking that out dude you know my love language is mexican food i have never heard of la cabana i like places that people don't talk about are like off the beaten path all right i have been oh this has been pretty cool let me show what to share with you guys i need to put this on so i um can you see my screen i can't see my screen so i started i've actually really enjoyed this um oh yeah so i started doing this bike america like list so this is on just on the bike ride so i haven't done it if i'm not on the bike ride see if i can share it share list happy link so this is like all the food places i've gone to jonathan paul where can you email me you cannot you can do whatever the [ __ ] you want doesn't mean i'm gonna respond um sorry i'm putting that link in that page uh so if you guys wanna see like where i'm eating but yes meet up in memphis definitely meet up in nashville uh i'm biking from nashville all the way up to connecticut i am looking for people to join one someone like one of the guys that shows up it's like hey can we ride together for a week and i want to ask you a lot of business questions i was like that literally is like the least appealing thing i've heard all month yeah i mean if you wanna i don't know why people are paying so much like we're paying a thousand dollars a day for this place and i'm just like it's so much cheaper just to live on the beach in venice for free i'm like i'm such a like why would i spend all this money so i was putting a link to the uh places i'm eating and stopping at on that presentation what up fam what up samuel good to see you dude uh hey linkedin user oh man it didn't show okay all right i'll put some more time am i considering you know this is interesting am i considering local news channels or charity or any of it no i just want to ride i want to think hang out do [ __ ] stuff like this connect with cool [ __ ] people i i was like do i want to make it a chair i've done charity rights the past three years don't feel like it uh nothing wrong with that bearberg i waited for you well it's here good to see grand canyon that could be neat have i had any gear films not yet glory to god uh hopefully not man really hoping jacob let's all pray that i don't have any bike problems what up femi good to see you dude flagstaff has a small airport um i was in sedona last month arizona's [ __ ] cool man i'm gonna be visiting la do you like funnel cake you guys are oh [ __ ] yeah that's my [ __ ] favorite food um what are the questions you guys are asking you guys are [ __ ] cool now the question you guys are waking up today that was a great pronunciation of my name you're really good with people's names thank you thank you i appreciate that so kevin i'm not hating on you dude um i do have it i mean i think we all have interesting stories i think what's been fascinating about this bike ride is that it's so big literally and i think to a lot of people now that it's like it's interesting and other people have done it i'm not the first to do it um but i thought it was kind of interesting to reflect on that like for everyone for like everyone's story that's watching and that's part of this experience is like doing something bigger than yourself is like is appealing to people like i'll tell you a lot of women have hit me up like oh wow you're doing a ride like that's a while like i was like huh not just everything is about well i guess a lot of this is about how to have sex with you know same sex opposite sex whate
