[Music] our primary Mission at curries is to help everyone enjoy amazing technology and as the data team we help everyone collect protect and use our data data breaks is a core part of our data ecosystem in being able to access our data collaborate on our data and to really Drive value from our data assets data intelligence for me is really important for how a business can make decisions with data whether that's about your business performance your customer performance or your operational performance we're leveraging the data that we've got to gain insights in so many different ways across our strategy so we have a number of different pillars first one being our capable and committed colleagues so we use our data to support all of our teams but particularly our retail teams so understands their colleague performance other parts of our strategy include easy to shop and customers for life both of these pillars really require data to understand our performance understand our customers and to make those better decisions lastly our pillar is Drive profitable growth and data is really key to that data monetization is a really vast topic for curries we have cures connected media as our retail media business and that's where we're utilizing our data to deliver insights to our supplier Partners on on how our customers are performing through to then how do we target those customers on sites and offsites we've been using AI for a number of years so we've been using machine learning a number of different models pricing optimization personalization but obviously generative AI is the new Hot Topic I think it's important to embrace gen as a leader because you need to be forward thinking about how the problems that you may have in a business that generative AI can help solve my three tips for how leaders can prepare for the future one is what problems are you trying to solve making sure that you're working with your stakeholders how are you understanding what their issues are what their problems are how might data solve that another tip would be to make sure that you're engaging the audience ongoing beyond that so you know lots of different stakeholders some of whom are very data Savvy some are lesso and how do you break down the complexity to make it simple my third tip would be to make sure that you're at the Forefront of the conversation about data and ai ai is not possible without data and it really gives the opportunity for data practitioners to have an even stronger voice and profile in the organization [Music]
