hey Sandra here and I'm going to show you two things here that are going to help you get more out of every Facebook ad campaign that you run so the first thing I'm going to show you how to get more page likes page fans out of every campaign that you run without actually paying to buy page likes and the second thing I'm going to show you how to maintain social proof on your ads when you start testing new audiences so you've probably done this before you'll start running a particular ad to an audience let's say it's a look-alike audience and you'll start to get lots of likes comments and shares on that ad now when you want to expand and when you want to start testing that same ad against different audiences what happens when you duplicate the ad or duplicate the ad set is you lose the social proof you start back at 0 likes comments and shares on the ad itself but there is a way to maintain that social proof when you start expanding out and targeting new audiences and duplicating those ads and that's what I'm going to show you as the second tip so let's jump straight into it now here is how you get more page likes every time you run that campaign now you can see on the screen here I'm at the ad set level so I'm inside a campaign here and I've got 3 ad sets and I'll choose this ad set so what I'm going to do is drill down to the actual ad itself so I'll click on the ad set name again here's the ad so we click on the ad and we can see over here we've got a preview we want to do is look at the preview up here and we're going to go to this little icon here and we want to view the Facebook post with comments we want to actually view the post on Facebook so this takes us out of the ad manager it takes us to a quick preview over here and we can see the ad itself now with the ad we've got two comments below and we've got here we can see it's had a 39 that at about 41 comments on the ad that's 41 likes on the ad now what we can actually do is if I click on these names it shows me who's like the ad but in addition to that it also shows me that I can invite these people now you've both what are you inviting them to well I'm inviting them to like my Facebook page so it's saying hey you've liked my post would you like to come over and like my facebook page when I click that they get a notification up here in their facebook notifications that says Andrew Hubbard has invited you to come and like his Facebook page and they can just click that and like the page if they want to so what we do is we just go through and click invite and all these people get a notification and it just asks them if they want to like my page now what I normally find is two things the quicker you come in here and invite people to like your page the better so I like to do it every I mean every day I'll just pop in if I'm running a big campaign and do it otherwise every second day's fun so that's the first thing the quickie getting there and invite them the more likely they are to actually like your page and to as a general about 50 percent I find will go and like anywhere between 30 and 50 percent since how you can any ad campaign you run you can come in here and use it as a way to actually get more page likes as well without having to pay money to buy a page likes now the second thing is kind of related to this it's very similar but remember I spoke about maintaining social proof on an ad when you duplicate an ad set so let me let me dig into that a little bit more now so I'll go into the power editor in this test account that I've got and I'll go down to the campaign and I'll find that same one so let's say okay I'm targeting all my website visitors and let's say now I want to take that same ad and I want to target a bigger audience or look-alike audience so what I'll do is I'll duplicate the ad set keep the same campaign we've got a new ad if we look at it okay we can see the new ad is it's already set up exactly the same as their line was but what we do now I wouldn't normally do this but I'll do this to demonstrate so if we review when we upload those changes this creates the actual ad or the post in facebook and the reason I'm doing this is because I want to show you what the new posts looks like now that we've got that new post into active let's go and have a look so we'll go back to the edit menu and we're going to go links and same as before we're going to click manage Facebook comments so we can see the post on Facebook now this is the new one remember that we just duplicated and look at what we see there's no like shares or comments okay it's back to square one which isn't what we want so here's he fix that we go back to the original ad set the one that we are the one we originally cloned okay so if I click on this and go back to the original ad that we cloned that we saw had all the positive feedback on it we go links manage Facebook comments again and now we see again we've got that original post with all the likes shares comments so what we want to do is grab the post ID and you can get that from here from up in the URL so you've got posts slash and then this ID so we want to copy that and now what we're going to do is going to come back to the power editor we're going to find the new ad that you created so this one we're going to edit the ad again and we're going to come back in the edit screen and go to use existing post now from here you just have to wait and then it has this little icon enter post ID paste that in and watch what happens over here 41 reactions 5 comments 3 shares it's carried across that social proof so that really is all you need to do you need to go back to the old ad view it in Facebook or using that view comments menu item grab the post ID copy it come back to your new ad and use existing post and paste it in simple as that so that's the second tip that's the one that will help you expand create new ads targeting new audiences and carry the social proof across now one thing to note you can't edit that obviously because you're using the same ads so you can't come in and use that keep the social proof and change the heading you can't do both at the same time but definitely works to maintain that social proof when you're going out to new audiences it will help bring your overall costs down pretty much every single time that you run it ok that's it for this
