hello brave ones in this video we will go over all social media platforms which are relevant in 2021 the goal is in the next few minutes to help you find the right social media platform like this video and let's dive straight into the value i will be writing each social media platform with five stars in three categories first category is potential for monetization meaning how easy is it for you to make money out of this platform the second category is barrier to entry how hard is it to start and grow on this platform and the third category future is focused all around predicting if this social media platform will bring value to you in the next couple of years and the social media platforms which i will be writing are instagram linkedin tick tock youtube facebook and sixth bonus social media platform if you'd like to jump to a specific platform there are time stamps in the description below so without further ado let's dive straight into instagram in the past few years instagram has become the golden egg of facebook its ability to constantly reinvent itself first with stories then with rios is quite impressive having said that the potential to actually monetize through instagram is actually on the medium side and i give it 3 out of 5 stars instagram is great for low to medium ticket items such as ebook templates cheat sheets and others but if you offer high ticket items there are plenty of other platforms which are more suitable for that and we will cover later in this video the barrier to entry for instagram is 2 out of five stars in the last couple of years just assay mentioned instagram has exploded in terms of users having said that with more users a lot more craters have started popping up the barrier to entry is quite low and because for creating instagram content all you basically need is a smartphone and an internet connection anyone can start posting on the platform meaning the competition in the low and medium levels is quite high so unless you stand out from the competition numbers such as mine 100 000 followers in one year is pretty much impossible if you'd like to know how i achieved this then click the video in the top that because instagram has such a good future ahead of it i give it 5 out of 5 stars in terms of how much value you can extract from this platform in the upcoming years features such as shopping inside of the instagram app as well as monetization for creators are just some of the things which keep bringing value to businesses and content creators alike and when these two groups are prospering then users of the platform are also more likely to stay on the platform for those reasons as well as the ability of instagram to actually change course pivot and become a better business over time i think that instagram will definitely have a mainstream place in the social media space for the next couple of years the next social media platform that we are going to be covering is linkedin and if you are in the b2b space meaning business to business there is no better platform than linkedin out there in terms of potential for monetization i give to linkedin 5 out of 5 stars if you have the right pitch and a strong offer you can reach a lot of people in the right mindset and have the ability to post these deals with ease the barrier to entry for linkedin is rated with 4 out of 5 stars because just as i mentioned in the first part if you have the right strategy there is such a huge market on linkedin which still hasn't caught up to the best practices in content marketing that if you have really strong content you can prosper on the platform which still offers so much organic reach in 2021 in terms of the future of linkedin i gave it a solid 4 out of 5 stars nearly perfect the only reason i don't give it a 5 out of 5 stars even though it has such a great positioning and i don't imagine any other social media platform coming in and taking a huge portion of its market share is because linkedin is right now at its peak meaning in the next couple of years when organic rich starts going down just like it happened to facebook and instagram it is up to the linkedin developers to handle this situation and give future incentives to their creators because if a social media platform loses its content creators then the users are far less likely to invest time in the platform i'm super confident that linkedin will handle this situation with professionalism having said that it is always beneficial to have something at the back at your mind when investing time in the social media platforms the next social media platform which we will be covering is tiktok but before we do that comment below which is your favorite social media platform tick tock is probably the platform with the most controversial opinions in 2020 in terms of how much attention tiktok can bring you there is no arguing that tick-tock is an absolute liar having said that when it comes down to monetizing that attention tiktok is a little kitten don't get me wrong you can definitely make money out of tick tock and with time this potential will only increase but at the time of recording this video for the amount of viewers you are getting on tick tock the amount of money you can be making is so little that it just doesn't make sense for you to continue invest time unless this is something which you want to be doing in the long term or you are after the brand awareness in terms of the barrier to entry i give it 5 out of 5 stars for tick tock it is extremely easy to pick up your phone and create content for thick talk and because of the viral nature of tick tock you can grow your profile with one successful video so in terms of growing your social media presence tick tock is the easiest part from this far on the list now just doesn't mean that you won't struggle and you don't have to be consistent in order to make it work but if you strictly want forwards tick tock is the place for you in the beginning of this segment about tick tock i mentioned that tick tock is one of the most controversial platforms and that's for a reason from the negative stigma surrounding tick tock and its chinese ownership to the fact that tick tock has been banned in certain geographical regions tick tock future isn't as right as we hope it is so i give it 3 out of 5 stars i don't believe that tick tock will be going anywhere in the next one to two years but i do think that there is a serious chance of tick tock going obsolete such as platforms like vine youtube is the next platform we will be covering in my experience from the eight years i've been in the social media marketing space youtube is the platform that has the biggest impact on the world just take for an example what most kids which are growing up today want to become youtubers and the worst reason for that is the phenomenal potential for monetization on youtube for which i give it 5 out of 5 stars the ability to diversify your income on youtube as a content creator is phenomenal you can make money out of adsense branding views your own words your own services affiliate programs and much much more the potential for monetization on youtube truly is limitless with the highest rewards in the social media world comes the highest risks as well the barrier to entry on youtube is one out of five stars it is extremely hard to grow your youtube presence and that's completely normal if everyone was able to grow their youtube presence the value in having a youtube presence wouldn't be there you either have to put in a lot of time or a lot of money and even then things aren't guaranteed to work but because of the bright future of youtube the risk is completely crushed by the amount of rewards you can be reaping if you have a youtube presence and that will only continue to increase as youtube gains more and more market share from traditional sources of entertainment such as television facebook is the absolute veteran in the social media marketing space it has shaped our views of what a social media platform should be a worse reason for that has been the fact that the potential for making money on facebook is phenomenal if you have a facebook group with a strong community if you use facebook ads there is no limit to how much money you can be making on facebook having said that i give it 3 out of five stars because if you don't have these things and you want to grow your organic presence in 2021 facebook is definitely not the platform for you i give it two out of five stars in terms of barrio to entry because unless you know how to create organic content which goes viral consistently your chances of organic growth are pretty much dead having said that because you can create a huge variety of different content formats from warm captions which resemble articles through video content to live streams facebook definitely is a paradise for content redistribution and content creators but what does the future of facebook look like in my humble opinion facebook has deeply engraved its presence in the minds of the middle aged class having said that because the new generation is coming and they don't want to be seen on the same platform their parents or grandparents are facebook marketer is set to plummet in the next decade and we have reached the bonus social media platform that i mentioned to you in the beginning i will be covering coke house the new kit on the book when i'm recording this video coupe house is all the rage huge celebrities such as elon musk have just begun utilizing this platform to great success and the potential to make money on coupe house is definitely something you cannot ignore in my opinion it isn't because coop house is doing such a great job to create opportunities for businesses or content creators it is because cookhouse is utilizing human connections something which you cannot beat in terms of selling having said that if you'd like to jump on coke house in the first quarter of 2021 unless you are on an ios device or you have an invite there is no way for you to get access to the platform for that reason i give the barrier to entry one out of five just because a large portion of the potential audience of coup house is restricted from using it and before we dive into the next element which is the future of group house i want to make a huge disclaimer this is my personal opinion it might not be yours and i'd love to discuss it in the comment section below but take everything that i am about to say with a certain grain of salt because it is my own opinion for me personally coop house raises a lot of red flags and uncertainties at the moment of recording this video the fact that they don't have a clear world map is definitely one thing which is troubling me on top of that they have a small team with really weak infrastructure i also believe that they have fundamental issues with their monetization content redistribution and lack of unique selling propositions because there is nothing stopping platforms such as instagram or twitter twitter by the way actually added this feature of copying the same model and offering the same benefits that coupe house is currently offering to its users before these uncertainties gets fixed or at least we have more clarity i wouldn't personally advise people to invest seriously into group house at the end of the day which social media platform you choose is completely up to you start by identifying your goals and then work backwards from them for example if you want to develop your social media presence so you can get on stage book more speaking gigs then youtube and instagram are definitely the right choices for you but if generating more revenue is
