HackCon CTF 2017 TRIVIA and BONUS Challenges

hello everyone and welcome back to the YouTube video here I am John Hammond I wanted to show off some of the challenges from the hack Con CTF that just went on this past weekend I'm using new microphone and I'm a little tired so hopefully this doesn't sound that bad but I'll show you in this video just a simple really easy ones the bonus stuff in the trivia challenges that Trudy was just more guessing but here I'll show you what these really are the welcome one was kind of confusing for a little bit because it normally when you see a welcome challenge so I just like give you the flag or like a have a service you can connect you but they give you this link to some website which I guess is their affiliate zoom in on this little bit so you can see it better but this page would load it would take a while but eventually you'd get to view the source of it and honestly I would just hunted for a little bit and their flag format for this competition is like dark with elite speak and code leet-speak just wrapped around braces so I started to look for this the front beginning part of the flag so I ctrl F for that and then there you go the flag is dark welcome to su 2017 or whatever I have no idea what this thing is but whatever so we'd submit that and real simple real easy just a couple points there you're welcome found five points done and keep talking I have no idea why this is here because this doesn't have any relevance to the challenge at all but communication is key to success we encourage you to join our slack channel for further discussions question of feedback so this link here will give you an invite to their slack channel which you should totally log into it's easy just to get the flag like that so they had up the top here their flag is for the welcome and the for the key talking conversation I'll see if it's actually in here in the history but they just had it pinned as they just had it as a conversation topic at the top there and it was like Pink Floyd is the best or something like that something's children see if I can search for it oh yeah okay here so the channel topic to Pink Floyd is awesome Lowell and those it was Lily just log into their slack channel really easy not really a challenge just you know the simple welcome challenges and to get you to do things to be part of the community and be part of the CTF so we'd submit that easy attacked the trivia challenge was dumb and stupid I think honestly was just more of a guessing challenge but it's just someone we light if that's the time started hacking someone cracked it two or three firewalls victims not a new blah blah blah screen started lagging there's a show visible what command you type into this shell to counter the hacker and slow him down well I have heard it is start counter-strike and that's literally it I don't know what the joke here is it oh you use counter to you can start counter-strike to hack him back it was just dumb but that's it good that was the challenge alright that's all I wanted to show you in this video real simple real easy the challenges the competition is over so that's why I won't get points for that but that's what I've heard answer to be and I thought it was really silly really stupid challenge cause it's literally just guessing but whatever I'm in next couple videos I'll show you some of the other things that we've done here but I don't know how to say that a couple simple challenges and we'll move into the other crypto one so just hash I did take solve senders tag wait a couple of these others somebody taking a long time but all right to the next video
