All right. If you ever been stuck trying to find data from a spreadsheet or trying to connect five different spreadsheets to get your results or you just don't want to copy paste all this information into a spreadsheet, I want to show you how you can connect Superbase, one of the most powerful databases out there to claw desktop and just start chatting with your data, pushing information into your database and using it like never before, going beyond the limitations of spreadsheets. Even though spreadsheets have been amazing for people to use to to get their work done, I think what we see here is the next step in what is possible with the least amount of kind of technical knowhow. So let's let's jump in. What we're going to do is we're going to connect it, which [music] takes moments because it's built into the connectors and cloud desktop. And then we are going to do our first report, a KPI report. We're just going to ask it a question about our data. It's going to generate a report. We'll even have it like push it out to a spreadsheet so that we can share it with somebody. And then we're going to say, "Okay, let's make this look better." We're going to make a dynamic animation style report using some kind of trendy technology that's out there right now, but it's going to look nice and it's just going to be a prompt and and it's going to be something we can share with the team or or management. Then finally, we are going to take a folder full of PDFs that are résumés and we're going to say to it, hey, take all of this data from this folder, go put them into a table it will make for us so that I can query that table and I can track results. Kind of like what I would do with a spreadsheet, but it's going to have more power than a spreadsheet because I can query it. I can have ways of connecting data to other things and we're going to get a lot out of that. It's going to do the work for us. So again, we're not copy pasting a bunch of data out of a PDF into a spreadsheet. It's doing it for us and then we'll query that. So if you've experienced these limitations of spreadsheets before and really want to take your data further without being a database expert, hang in there. I'm going to show you really how easy it is. All right. All right. First, the connection. I promise this won't be tricky at all, which is great. This is what I really love about this technology is how easy it's getting just to do normal things or powerful things that used to take so much work before. So here's my claw desktop and then here's my superbase. Now I'm assuming you already have cloud desktop. I'll share a link in descriptions if you don't, but it's just a very powerful way to use AI. So now I'm going to click on my little avatar down here and click on settings and then go to connections and then I'm going to go to browse connectors. And in here, I'm just going to search for Superbase and grab that one. And now it's going to take me to that Chrome browser you saw a moment ago, which I've already logged into my Superbase. So then I can choose from here. I'm going to choose the one of the organizations. You probably only will have one. I have a couple. And then I'm going to go to that organization and start using that data. So let it finish its connecting process. And we can close this after. It might even do it for us. And it comes back here. And now that's it. We're in. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to start a co-work and that will let us start chatting with our data. We could chat with this anywhere, but I'm just going to start here. Okay. And we know it's working because we got that message, but also if we go into here, we could see connectors and we could see um the superbase one right here. Okay. So, that's it. We're ready to go now. I could ask it about that data. Let's do that really quick to show it's working. Let's paste that into here and we'll give it a moment. Now, I'm using a model called Opus 4.6. If you default to Sonnet, that's fine. If you're on Hiku, that's fine. But this is the one that's probably going to give you the most bang for your buck as far as like ability to do things. So keep that in mind as you go. It's talking to our superbase. What I meant to type was use my superbase to get get the results from the task table for this KPI. How many tasks were completed each week over the 12 weeks showing trends in team delivery? So it's like a normal business request. Let it do the job. I'm not saying select all from database table. I'm just kind of giving it a sense of where the stuff is and then what to do. And here we have the results. Now, you could even have it check the data. You could go just have it verify itself and so forth and so forth. This is great. You start to chat with your data, discover things hopefully. But now, what if you want to share this with someone else? This is kind of, you know, not the most easy thing to share. So, let's do that. Now, I'm going to say, okay, that's great. can you turn this into a spreadsheet for me to share with somebody? Just talk to it like a normal intern and just keep trying. A lot of times people give up because their prompt didn't give them the results they wanted, but you can guide it to hopefully get what you want. So, let's see what this one does. All right. So, it took a while, probably a whole, we'll say 5 minutes, but who cares? I could be doing other things, answering emails, whatever. Right. So, here we are. It went back to our data and it made this thing that I asked it to make. Let's open that up and look. All right. I mean, I've been in enterprise, I've been in situations where I've had to deliver these type of reports, and I work with customers who do. So, it's just kind of neat how it can pull it off for them in a way that I couldn't have done before on my own without building more skills in both data and spreadsheets. So, there you go. You see again how you can take the data. Now, unlike what I said earlier, our data is in a database, not in spreadsheets, but I can push it around to different places for sharing. And that is a big difference. Let me run this one. And so we're going to now say this is great, but I want to give something more presentationoriented. I wanted to just be more interesting and I'm going to just say this because I've seen this on the news a bit in my little news world. Remotion's a cool like animation system and I just wanted to do that with remotion in these numbers to just maybe make something more interesting to look at. Now I've seen PowerPoints and Keynotes that do a good job of transitions and animations, but there it's a skill that I don't have. And so I'm going to ask it to do that with this data. All right, here we go. So let's see what happens. I'm going to open it now. It's saying QuickTime player. Let's try that. Let's see what happens. All right, there you go. Now, I mean, that's pretty cool. I could put that into a uh Slack channel. So, the next thing I want to get into is is we're going to point this to a folder and get a whole bunch of data out of PDFs, put them into a table it's going to create for us, and then we're going to talk to that table. Now before I do that, let me remind you too that you can schedule this. So now once we get something we like here, we can tell to get that report from our database every day uh every week and generate this these assets. So our database becomes the the source of of these automations, these scheduled reports, and we don't have to do this anymore. We just dial it in and and let it go. All right, let's dig into the whole PDF parsing thing and and watch how easy it makes this. All right, let's do that. All right. So now the last one is the PDF processing. So we're in our previous co-work. We're going to start a new co-work. Uh we're going to say new task. And at this point, we're going to connect it to a folder. So I'm going to choose this and go to my folder that has all the resumes. One moment. All right, I finally found the folder. Uh and then once I choose that folder, I'm going to say always allow. All right, so now I'm ready. So I have my folder. I have a new co-work. And I'm going to tell it to go, you know, use our system. So, I'm not going to really tell how to do things. Um, I don't really want to know how to make a table. I just want it to do it for us. Gather the resumes, save the data, make it something I can interact with. So, once this is done, we'll we'll ask it a few questions. Let's give it a moment. All right. A good 10 minutes later, but again, I could be doing other things. Uh, we have all the PDFs there and all the data there. So, let's go look at that really quick. We see our resumes. We see all the records there. And just for reference, if we want to like get these files or share these files with the team in the office, we have them all there as well if you wanted to. But now let's go do something with that data, right? Let's go ask it uh just a question. Now, if this was in a spreadsheet, you would have to go look or if you had some type of AI there, maybe look for it. But you're going to lose a certain amount of abilities with those spreadsheets that now you get here with with a proper database without even knowing data. So now it finds those skill matrixes. This is a great example because very rarely does someone have one skill. So for each of these people there's one or more and now you have a proper like data structure to query and do other stuff with. The point is you're not limited, right? You can save your data, talk to your data, and not have any of the limitations that came with spreadsheets. All right, you've seen now how to easily connect, how to just start talking to your data, how to even put a whole bunch of data into there from files. It's pretty crazy what that used to be for work. And now you can just kind of use that data in a way you never could before when you're just dealing with spreadsheets. Hope this helps. I mean, I love this stuff because it's making the technology so easy for those who just need to get their work done versus us or me as a developer who used to be the bottleneck building things for people. Now you can do it yourself and that's really exciting. All right, thank you. Sponsored by Superbase. The link below is the affiliate link that helps them to know this video is working and connecting with you. So, please use it. Ask questions below. I will reply or I'll even make another video to go further [music] into that. And there's other links as well for reading about this if you'd rather read than watch videos or reference later on. I have all that as well. All right. Thank you.
