what's up guys so I'm going to be starting a new series along with my are markdown series I have that I will be continuing because our markdown is a ginormous beast of immense complexity and possibility with HTML law tech pan doc etc so that's gonna be an ongoing series and as I get questions about our markdown or anything and I haven't already addressed in videos I'm just gonna be adding to that playlist on my youtube channel but another one I'm going to be doing another series is our package reviews where I go in and actually review a package that you might use and some of the more common functions and functionality of the package with detailed examples notes code chunks and an R markdown document you can actually download and use to run the functions and play with them yourself now some of these packages have a lot of stuff in them which means it's gonna be a lot of homework on my part which will help me run more and learn better but some of them I'm probably not gonna cover everything because to be as verbose and comprehensive as they want to be on some of these topics it would just be a lot to do so I'm privileged to starting off with the ones that I frequently use and use most most often nowadays usually in a professional environment and where I use them for some of the potential settings and you know a name is just some basics of the tidy verse and I'm not gonna get involved with like tidy verse verse base are stuff and you know base is cool that tell you better scares a lot of other options that I like too and it's what I've come to really utilize a lot nowadays and I do come from a previous programming background so it's not as difficult to pick up my type of approach to it is I'm not strictly a reit an academic researcher so I don't need to walk into something and have with a cognitive overhead just out of the way and just get straight to the research and the results and the ability to just get there and eight to be as fast as possible with you know as minimal coveted overhead so I do have that somewhat I think you know I'm gonna say I do I've a self-taught computer science you know programming background so it's it was a little bit easier for me to pick up something walking in because of my experience with a lot of other languages paradigms and just general crazy hyper focused interest on programming so I tend to lean towards tiny verse and I'm also not you know crazy into the statistics and actual research stuff yet I'm looking at going back to schools so we'll see how my opinions might change some stuff in base is better some stuff in tidy I like better I like pipes and I like piping things forward and when that Leeson's my next topic is this new our package review series is actually going to start off with the pipe package Magritte err or Magritte are however you want concerts that's actually pronounced them agreed so I'm going to be reviewing that package first so you can look forward to that video if you have a specific package you'd like to request me to review I will take that under advisement but no guarantees I'm gonna be doing what I know and use off off the bat first and then when I run out of ideas I need to explore some more packages but all these resources and the beginning formation of all this new series on package reviews is on my github so on my github I have a little right here our package reviews the readme has the set links of one we'll be reviewing first so when I get the YouTube video up it's going to be linked here here's the package and will be hyperlinked to the github repo for the packages I didn't link to cran because I like to have more visuals and a lot more visuals that are on the packages that show some code snippets and just has better visualization of the package overall is usually the github repo for these packages so those are going to be here and each one has hyperlink to the github repo already I kind of throwing them into a category now this is just my own opinion don't take this too seriously this is just how I'm organizing it in my head and then just a basic little what am i using this pack this package for currently again don't take this too seriously this isn't comprehensive by any means and then each example hyperlink which none of them I think only one or two of them one of them works right now the only that works right now is Fateh because I actually have a CV I did with the Fateh package and it's linking to my repo for my CV that this repo will contain a directory called examples and in each in each that of that example area is going to have an R markdown document and so I'd be a folder called examples and in that folder is gonna be a bunch of other folders for each of these reviews where it will contain all the r markdown documents data files everything necessary to run the examples I will be showing into youtube videos so this repos basically just going to be the holding ground of all the resources I use in this our package review series so you can come here and run left code I'm actually going to be running on video and play around with it learn it and see if it works for you and what you like about it or not and then so the the CV I made is it's already available on my github it's on my website it's on my LinkedIn yeah just I made a CV with our markdown and it's a data-driven CV so it takes data and creates a very nice formatted CV using waa tech and yeah Mille and all that stuff and I'll be doing a review of this in future to that for more comprehensive review that's coming later the only one I have done right now is Magritte are for the pipe and I'll be doing that video next so look forward to that so as for that that's all I have to announce so far yeah a lot of videos coming but I'm going to be doing a lot more homework on them so there it's gonna be a little bit more spaced out but the quality of the videos I feel will be better and it's not something the videos are gonna suffer for so look forward to that that's all bye
