can you give me one use case for when to use a subquery let me show you a common example let's write a query to find the employee with the second highest salary upon execution this query will assign ranks to all employees based on their salary to find the employee with the second highest salary you can use the wear Clause like this however if you execute this query you will encounter an error this is because the wear Clause is evaluated before the select clause and you cannot use column and yeses in the we Clause to resolve this issue you can use a subquery or a common table expression like this we will use a select SRI statement as the alter query and inside the parenthesis we will write our previous delore rank query at the end we will use the wear Clause with the column alas rnk equals to two this will show you the employee with the second highest salary so the most common use case for a subquery is when you need to use a colum and yes in the wear gloss to filter rows
