hello everybody it's mark six man and welcome back to yet another video today's video is gonna be a little bit of a strange one this is more of an update i just wanted to say thank you for 1 000 subscribers on this channel we can finally start making a little bit of revenue off the channel which means this channel will actually get a budget and also wanted to say thank you for 5 000 followers on tick tock both my instagram and my tick tock will be linked down below now on to the main subject here an update on the mark 6 gti the budget gti so i've started having a little bit of an issue with misfires at idle not all the time only sometimes and i'm attributing this to most likely either injectors starting to go bad because you know that's just what happens or carbon cleaning which is something i've been meaning to do anyways so um to do all that stuff i actually have to take this intake manifold off which is gonna be a lot of work that's what i'm starting to work on today it's gonna be a big project and because it is such a big job i've decided to also replace the water pump with an upgraded fully aluminum one while i'm in there because that eventually will fail as well on this car because you know if you if you watch my video on reliability with these cars there is quite a lot that can go wrong with them but since it's such a big job i'm just going to do everything all at once that means i'm also flushing the coolant so this car is going to be very happy when i'm all done with this but there are already some great tutorials out there on how to do all that stuff i will link it down below in case you guys are interested on the tutorials that i'll be using i'm not going to try to make my own tutorial because i really don't think it would end too well but yeah i will link the good tutorials down in the description below for you guys but yeah everybody just a little bit of an update let's go take a look at the new parts i have for this car so this is the fully aluminum water pump right here it looks pretty cool the oem vw one's partially plastic see this one's made in germany it's not technically oem vw but i mean it's fully aluminum and the oem one fails because of the plastic so i have good faith in this one put this back also comes with a little bit of hardware that's necessary for it and this is a kit so it came with some coolant here that we can use to flush it don't know how to flush coolant out of the car don't know about any of that we'll see this right here is a coolant hose that i apparently had to order some guy in the review said that you need to order this new hose for it so that's what i did these are my four injectors here i'm not gonna open these up yet but yep those are the injectors and i've also ordered something that hasn't come in yet it is a new intake manifold i don't think it's technically an oem volkswagen one i think it's like one of those other companies that like makes it based off like oem spec but it's not technically like the oem vw one so it was pretty cheap i don't know if i'm gonna put it on the car my intake manifold hasn't failed yet but it does come with a gasket and the whole intake manifold plus gasket was the same as a gasket on ebay for some reason so i just got the whole manifold and the gasket and this right here is some walnut media to blast to actually clean out the intake valves because that's what you have to use is walnut shell media and you also need like a walnut shell blaster which uh runs off of the air compressor over there which i have out in the shed in the back so yeah i'm gonna get started on this but this video was literally just a quick little update video to thank you guys and everything just wanted to get it out there real quick my next video will actually be just sort of like a vlog of me actually working on the car and going through stuff it's not gonna be a tutorial that was just gonna be sort of a vlog of working on it but yeah everybody thank you so much for watching and subscribing and everything it's really awesome now that we're at 1 000 subscribers and this channel can actually start generating a little bit of revenue and i can start putting some money into the channel and it will be everything will be good yeah everyone thanks for watching i'm mark six man and uh see you guys next time
