hello ladies and gentlemen it is mark 6 matt and welcome back to another video i'm just sort of making this video as a little update uh because i did uh recently make that sort of release videos oh i got the tdi and everything like that and uh working on the gti water pumps so this is just sort of an update of where we're at because things on the tdr tdi are happening a little bit faster than i expected um otherwise i would just do everything as a separate video but as you can see the gti here we're in the process of uh doing the water pump that's going to be a completely separate video that's going to be released i have a bunch of recordings for that so that video is going to come after this one and but we do have the new water pump in as you can see things are going pretty smoothly now as for the tdi so if you guys remember uh the fuel pump here had a pretty bad leak it was this gasket that goes in between this part right here it was all leaking out dripping fuel everywhere so i replaced this one and the one under it and uh so i gotta i gotta prime that all tonight and get that all working and then the egr if you remember that was all clogged up and gunky um i took that whole thing off i'm gonna take this manifold off tonight and clean that out as well but i already started to clean this egr system i was going to have to reuse that you know crummy old egr system but just in time my egr delete i thought this was going to take way longer to come in it came in a lot faster so what this plate does is it just chills right up here and you know you just go from the boost pipe up through there and it just goes right into the motor so that should actually even give us a little horsepower gain already which will be really nice so yeah we got the egr to lead in fixing you know the two main issues was the egr which i i think is what's causing the rough idol uh but it might not be and i also didn't update you guys on this yet i cleaned out the interior of this car you know just gave it a little bit of a cleaning it's it was a little bit mildewy a little bit gross it's still kind of gross but i did a basic cleaning on this car so things are going pretty well on the tdi and sadly the apple sticker back here has been removed we just removed that so yeah i got to clean that up but things are going well things are moving along we still got the nice patina roof and everything super happy uh with how things are going so far fenders still need to be replaced and the headlights and everything like that some interior bits and and stuff like that and i'm going tomorrow to get stuff off the parts car for this car so yeah if you want an update sort of on what happened the whole deal with this car you can check my last video but yeah that was just sort of an update we got the budget tdi the budget gti and they're both here on the volkswagen graveyard being worked on so yeah thanks for watching everyone and tune in for the water pump video and some more tdi content in the future once this thing is running registered and on the road thanks for watching
