Uh I'm Larry from SummerSoft. uh I uh co-founder of Samsung we majorly uh you know uh I majorly take charge of the global strategy and the OS business so for some we majorly the mobile OS expert and we support you know the the smartphone OEM uh smart IoT device OEM and also of course smart vehicle OEM globally is our major business for software yeah >> nice to meet you Larry >> very nice >> do you want to tell me or tell us about uh your job about your team and what are your business objectives and maybe also a few words about the challenges you are facing. >> Yeah. So uh majorly take charge of the strategy and uh and also we need continue growth you know the the always the most challenging senses that your area you need to make a growth you know so for our business and uh like I introduced before that we have a smartphone software and the automotive software immediately for cockpit we provide the whole cockpit uh solution and also for the uh IoT device and we provide the module and the the software stack you know so and for the AI parts then you know we immediately do the you know solution >> sounds very interesting um in the process of selecting uh a cloud service providers uh could you say a few words about the KPIs or the criterias which you were using when you selected Amazon web services >> yeah since our customer is very broad and you know we all the you know uh OEM customer across the world. So when we select the cloud service uh partner then we need to consider the global coverage and also the the cloud service need be very high quality very stable you know it's like you know for the uh no matter for the you know the automotive and for the key IoT device the you know the the high quality is very important sense and uh another sense that we select to work with AWS is another I think is AWS a special very strong know uh culture know the very efficiency and customer ccentric so this is you know we also learn from AWS yeah >> yeah I'm glad to hear yes customer obsession is one of our key leadership principles yes um Larry can you share with us uh your company's genai strategy we hear here today our first day at IAA we hear a lot about a IML and deep learning and genai what is your particular Genai strategy for uh for your customers and for your products. >> Yeah, when we set up our uh companies and we position as uh us as as a mobile OS expert. So we immediately focus on the open source OS the Android Linux you know to develop our product and uh service technical service for the device OEM and now you know since all this you know uh AI you know uh develop very fast and uh all the device maker need a enablement so for the AI uh areas and we position us as a expert so we majorly focus on the A side of course that's like For automotive we not only provides the AI cockpit solution and know we also we develop as the agents in the cloud set so that we can provide the end to end the solution for our customer. Sounds good. Thank you. Uh you mentioned a few minutes ago that globalization is uh is an was an important criteria for you in selecting AWS. Can you share with us a few stories or anecdotes or maybe challenges you were facing through your globalization journey? Yeah, I think in presence because our customer is very diverse and we have you know uh many China uh OEM uh automotive OEMs they need not only in China but also need to export you know uh automotive you know to the uh many countries and also we support the global brand that they also need to come to China they also need to go to many countries so for so their demand is pretty divorce you So we need to fix in all kinds of you know uh diverse you know uh requirements and also the the automotive uh OM also always that's one key trend is and want to develop in the cloud side and also can deploy it you know seamlessly on the on the automotive on the edge side. So this is always a long-term target but it's haven't be implement yet for feature implemented yet. So for this part we are working with AWS you know to to moving the the you know our development tools onto the cloud and also to implement the the whole development environment on top of the cloud to so that you know and also implement the digital twins you know so that can implement the cloud to the car you know such new development you know method from this point of view I think it was very dating Thank you. Um and finally, could you summarize maybe some uh um your first experiences, your experiences so far with collaborating and innovating with AWS and maybe you can also share some of your future projects with us. Yeah, I think uh we have you know uh cooperated with AWS for many years and start from China but also extend to the global market and previously then I remember then so we start cooperation from the IoT area. Then we working together you know to implement the IoT you know the uh development tools you SDK on top of the cloud and to support many you know big volume IDs. Then we extend this cooperation to the automotive area and and you know the currently that uh we think that the AWS you know has a very good AI strategy in the cloud and you provide the infrastructure and also enable all kinds of uh AI models uh on the cloud and the OEM can make a choice. Yeah. So and for this part and I think pretty align with with us and the this part and in adset we also you know to utilize open source uh large language model and you know multi mode model and uh we didn't reinvent the wheels but we reuse all this open source model and we implement the other part the middleware and the agent part so then can we can provide a full stack solution and utilize AWS you know uh AI cloud to have the this end to end solution. >> Thank you very much.
