[Music] hello everyone how do you guys walk to school well if you do that I'm sure you'll find a lot of things that you can relate to from this book and even if you don't walk to school don't worry you'll still love this book and I'm about to share with you guys so the UM the title of this book is called look both ways and the author is Jason or not this is the second book that I'm reviewing which is from Jason Reynolds the first one was actually called ghost so if you have not checked that out then please do now just stay tuned to find out more about this wonderful book [Music] thank you so much Simon kids for sending me this book I love this book so much because it's so different from all the other books that I've read so this book um actually every chapter in this book is based on a different story so like as you guys can see on the front cover there are many things going on so in one area there's like this group of kids tossing coins in the air and then there's also this big dog chasing this other boy and many other things are happening well every chapter in this book takes one of the events from the front cover as the main topic of that chapter that's why I love the format of this book I had so much fun reading all the chapters so um I I have like a couple of the chapters from this book that I wanted to share with you guys and one of them is called five things easier to do than Simons and Kenzie's secret handshake well this story is about these two kids named Simon and Kensi and they are best friends well Simon is actually very big for his age meaning two kids tall and like two kids wide and then but the thing is everyone is friends with Simon because no one even wants to mess with Simon because of his size well Kensi on the other hand is very small for his age he's actually tied to be one of the smallest kids in class with this other boy named bit well Simon and Kensi are best friends and oh of course those best friends always have to have those secret handshakes so this story tells the reader about Simon and Kenzie's friendship and also they're always hanging out together that they even get in trouble together in class well especially with that one teacher named mrs. Walkley she is a teacher that's always in the hallways on making sure all the kids are behaving themselves during dismissal time so Simon and Kenzie always get in trouble with her well this story does tell many things about their friendship and I had so much fun reading it and it was very hard to choose my favorite chapters from this book because I loved everything about it well another chapter that I wanted to share is um called Satchmo's to plan so this story is about a boy named Satchmo and um he has a very bad background with dogs so one day when he was playing outside with his friend he was playing catch outside and the ball accidentally flew into this old lady's front yard and that lady had a very big dog so when Satchmo went to go and get the ball he went into the front yard and that fierce dog was just looking at Satchmo and the ball well the dog's leash was actually tied to this um to the tree so as Satchmo was getting closer to the ball he was also getting closer to the dog and of course the doll thought that Satchmo was playing around with them so once um Sacrement got ahold of the ball he acted as if he accomplished just a big thing so he shouted back to his friend from that front yard saying got the ball he was jumping around waving the ball in the air and the dog got so excited that he broke out of his leash and now he was running directly to Satchmo and the ending was definitely not pretty at all because Satchmo got scratched everywhere and he also got bit on the leg so I had so much fun reading this book and um there's many other chapters that I really wanted to share but I do not want to spoil too much from this book I want you guys to read it for yourselves I had a blast reading this book and I'm sure you guys will too and if you have not already then please subscribe to my channel and click that notification ball and please do share this video with your family and friends and like this video and also if you do get a chance to read this book don't comment down below on what your favorite chapter was by everyone and see you later on and pay station [Music]
