Where America Ships $238 Billion Of Weapons A Year
The US is the world’s biggest weapons exporter, controlling about 43% of the global arms trade. American-made weapons like F-35 jets, M1 Abrams tanks, and 155mm artillery shells move worldwide through military aid and foreign sales.
America sends its allies billions in weapons, including aid packages for Ukraine and missile defense systems for Israel. Defense contractors also sell large amounts of equipment to Saudi Arabia and key NATO allies, including Poland.
So how did America become the world’s dominant weapons dealer? What risks come with it? And who depends on US weapons the most?
