[Music] okay so the first thing to do to get to motion tracking in after effects is let's go ahead and create a new composition i'll call this motion track next thing we're going to do is drag in our video clips so i have a few here from envato elements you guys can get whatever video clips you want though i'm going to drag in this race car i'm also going to drag in the element that i want to use i'm just going to drag this over on the left here into the project panel next i'm going to drag in the footage that i want to motion track into the composition down here in the timeline let's go ahead and press play okay cool so to motion track this let's go all the way up into window select the tracker next you're gonna see on the right here is this little panel called tracker that pops up we're gonna go ahead and select track motion and you're gonna see this box pop here all this is a track point so to track the 71 i'm going to drag this over here let's go ahead and make this a little bigger oh actually i think i'm going to track this little fuselage thing here next you're gonna click this button here which is the analyze forward button and you're gonna see after effects is just tracking forwards in the timeline okay so depending on how slow or how fast your computer is this could either take a second or a few minutes but you know what it's not going to take a long time you smashing that like button also hey if you made it this far in the video might as well go ahead and smash the subscribe button while you're at it alright i'm i'm done with the plugs let's get back into the video okay cool and that is looking pretty good so now we have all of these track points next thing i'm gonna do is click down here in the timeline and create a new null object and then i'm gonna click edit target here make sure the null is selected and press ok and then i'm going to go ahead and press apply x and y just hit ok and instantly we have this little rectangle that is stuck onto the car here if we go ahead and drag in that little graphic that we made earlier i can just parent this now by clicking on this pick whip tool and selecting the null object and what happens when i press play is we have that eighty thousand dollars stuck right onto the car there that looks pretty cool and just like that we have a pretty dope motion track scene i can go ahead and move this around and it is still going to be stuck onto the car so hope you guys have fun playing around with motion tracking in after effects this was a quick little tutorial and if you guys want to check out more tutorials make sure you go ahead subscribe to us and also turn on those post notifications so you don't miss out on any of the other ones anyways hope to catch you on the next one peace you
