When it comes to Google Ads remarketing, a lot of people think that it's a very technical process, but that's just not the case. In this video, I'm going to be showing you how to set up a Google Ads remarketing campaign in three easy steps. So, by the end of this video, you'll understand everything that you need to know to get this done. We're going to start it off by talking about how to install the tags on your website or check if your website already has the tags so that you can just move on to step number two and actually build out the audiences. I'll show you how to build out the audiences in both Google Analytics and in Google Ads. And then third, we'll talk about how to actually build out the campaigns in Google Ads. and not only how to build the campaigns, but how to actually make display ads or YouTube ads using AI to make the process very quick. So, you can see we're going to be running through all of these steps in this video. The first thing that I want to talk to you about is how to check if your website already has one of these tags on here so that you can start building out audiences. Now, when it comes to installing a Google Ads remarketing tag on your website, the tag is the way that Google knows how to remarket to people. It basically puts a little cookie on people's websites and then allows them to follow them around the internet with the display ads, YouTube ads, or the search ads that we're going to be talking about. So with this, you want to see which tag you currently have on your website. Whether you have one or the both, you at least need to make sure that you have one of them. And the best way to do that is to come over to Chrome or to Google, type in Google Tag Assistant, and add Google Tag Assistant to your Chrome browser. You can see mine says remove from Chrome cuz I already have it here. But you want to click on add to Chrome. It will add a little blue tag up here in your Chbar. You want to then come over to your website. Once you're in your website, all you want to do is simply click on that little blue tag there, and it's going to show you what tags are currently on your website. Okay, let me move myself out of the way here. And there's a couple of things that you're looking for. So, as you can see, the first step on here is we want to make sure that tags are installed. And the first one that we have here is the Google Analytics tag. And the Google Analytics tag is identified by a G in front of it. Just a G. And you can see here the tag assistant makes this really nice because it will actually put the little Google Analytics logo there. But you can see it's found this one G-1 G9. And whenever it starts with G dash, that means it's the Google Analytics tag. And then you can see here even on this one, there are two Google tags. You can see this starts with GT. So, whenever it's GT, that means you have a Google tag. So, when you're looking at this, you just want to make sure that you have one of the options of these tags. Either one that starts with a G for Google Analytics or one that starts with GT for Google Tag. I'm not going to get into all the nuances of the difference of these tags, but I just want you to know how to look at your website to see if you already have one of these. That way, you don't have to add new code to your website in case you're wanting to just start and build audiences. So, first check and see if you have one of these inside of there. If you don't, then you're going to have to go through and add them. If you see these tags here and you're wondering where to verify or how to make sure that they are in the right accounts, what you want to do is you can see this one is for your Google Ads account and it has the GT and then it ends in GD7. I know I'm saying a lot of random numbers there, but what you can do is you can come to your Google Ads account. You want to come over here to tools and then you want to come to data manager. Once you click on data manager, you'll see this Google tag here. And a lot of times you'll see something like needs attention or something like that. Don't worry about this error. I'll show you what that means here in a minute. But you can come here to manage and then inside of manage you'll see that there is the tag right there. So you know that that's the one for this Google Ads account. It's GT5D and then it ends in GD7 and that's the one that we saw on our website right here. So that's how you verify it for Google Ads. For Google Analytics, what you can do is you can come over here to your Google Analytics account. And then what you want to do is you want to come over to your admin. Inside of admin, you want to come over to data streams. And then inside of data streams, you can click over here and then scroll down. And then this is where you can see your Google measurement ID. So that's the Google one right there, which is right here. You can see the KML and then that's the KML. So I know this is that Google Ads account. And then if you wanted to check the Google tag as well, you could do that by clicking right here and then it will have the configuration where we have the one that ends in 4H4 and this one ends in 4H4. So we verified that those are the accounts that we need and they are on there. If you've done that, if you've gotten to this part and you verified that, okay, yep, I have my Google Ads account, I have my Google Analytics tags on there and they're good to go, then you can skip to the next part to actually build audiences. I'll have timestamps down below so you can do that. But if you're at the point where you're looking at this and there it's not showing any tags, let me show you how to quickly add these tags to your website so that they can start collecting data so that you can start running these remarketing campaigns. So what you're going to want to do in order to add these tags, we'll start first here with the Google Ads tag. We'll come over here to our Google account and same thing. We'll come here to the tools data manager and then inside of this box right here, if you haven't installed the tag, it will say something like urgent or needs attention. You see mine said needs attention. We come here manage. If it does say need attention, it probably is installed. It's just missing some pages on it. Pages that probably aren't important. You can see here when I view this issue, it's saying that some of my tags aren't supported. And you can see some of these aren't pages that I want tagged anyway. So, it's not a problem. So, if you see that, just know it's probably not the biggest deal. But what you can do to install this is you can click on installation instructions here. And when it comes to installing this on your website, Google has made this really easy. They've partnered with all the top website builder. Chances are your website builder is here. So, identify if one of these website builders is yours and you can select the platform. In this case, we are on Squarespace. So, we're going to click Squarespace here. And then it has a nice little instructions on how to add this code using Squarespace. And it's not like you're adding like coding anything. All you're doing is basically copying this script and putting it on your website. So it's very easy to do to install that. Now, if for whatever reason your website builder isn't listed here, you can install manually and then you can grab the code. All you need to do is grab this and then put it in the head of your website and then it's good to go. Once it's inside of there, you can test your website to make sure that it is firing correctly. So you can come here, grab your website, or you can use the tag assistant, click right here, and then give it a little test, and it will tell you if it is firing correctly. So we'll wait for just a second to make sure that's firing correctly. And you can see we have the little green check there. So that is how you would add this tag right here, the Google tag. If you wanted to add the Google Analytics tag, you can add that. Now, you'll notice here that I have a little or and I want to make sure that people know like you can add both of them and most of the time I do add both of them, but you don't have to have both of them for Google Ads remarketing. So if you wanted to run through Google tag, you could do that. If you want to do it through Google Analytics, you could do that. But here is how you would install the Google Analytics tag. So, first you'd have to make sure you have a Google Analytics account. If you don't, be sure to go through and sign up and create an account. Once you are inside of your account, you're going to want to come here to the admin and then data streams. Inside of data streams, you're going to click on the data stream here. And then same thing, you can scroll down here and you want to click on view tag instructions. And you can see right now data is flowing. So, it may look a little bit different if the data isn't flowing. And then right here, you can click on this little edit button and then choose from one of these providers. It will then give you the instructions on how to add that. You can see in my situation, this is built on Squarespace. So, we can add those or you can click on here and grab the code. And you can see it's basically the exact same steps to get this code onto your website. All right. So, now you should have the Google Analytics 4 tag or the Google tag installed on your website or both depending on your preference. It's time to move on to step two, which is to actually build out the audiences. Now, when it comes to building out the audiences, there are a ton that you could build out. I have this list right here, kind of a cheat sheet for both e-commerce and lead generation, just to give you ideas on audiences that you can build out. It has the intent level for them, the primary use case, and then the channels that you can use them for. So, if this is helpful, you can grab this below, and then it has the definition and rules, and I'll show you how to build out these. It has one for lead generation as well, cuz obviously they're going to be kind of different funnels where you're targeting people on thank you pages, where e-commerce, you're targeting people on purchases and stuff like that. So, we're going to use this list. We're going to come over here, and I'm going to show you how to build out some of these audiences. Now, just like with the Google Analytics tag and the Google Ads tag, there are two different ways to build out audiences, and I'll show you both options so you know which one you maybe prefer. The first way is to build them out in Google Ads. And if you come to tag assistant and you find that you have a Google tag here, this is going to be the easiest way to build them out is to come in here to Google ads and then we're going to click out of all of this stuff and we are going to want to come over here to our tools and settings and then you are going to come over to the shared library here and we're looking for audience manager. So that was tools. We're going to come over here to tools and settings and then audience manager. Inside of audience manager, you'll notice if the Google tag is already installed, it will already start populating some audiences for you. this one that I built, but it will already have these kind of four default audiences in here. And you can see the source is the Google tag. So, you already have an all visitors list right here. And you can see this will show you the size for each one of these. This is kind of a demo website, so there's like too small to serve. You will need to have at least a,000 people on these lists in order to run remarketing. So, that's something important to note. So, you have these four lists already built out, but if you actually wanted to build out your own, let me show you how to do that. What we're going to do is we're going to uncheck this to make sure we have the little blue plus here. We're going to click on the create remarking list. And you can see there are lots of different ways that you can do this. You can even upload a list directly in order to run Google Ads remarketing, but most people like to use the website visitors. We're going to click on website visitors here. And we're going to create a segment. And this is where we can come over to our little cheat sheet here. For us, this is a lead generation company cuz we're going to do a trash removal company. And you can see these are the audiences that I recommend everybody build out no matter what, just so you have them whether you're going to use them or not. The first one is an all visitors 30 days and the next one is an all visitors 90 days. So, let me show you how to build out the the all visitors for these. So, we're going to come over here back to Google Ads and we're going to call this one all visitors and then 90 days so we know what this is. And then for this customer type, if this is a customer list, I do recommend choosing one of these that describe who your customers are. But because this isn't a customer list, it's a people who have clipped our website but haven't filled out the form, we're going to leave this blank. And then next here for the segment members, we're going to leave this on visitors of a web page. And then here is where you can define the action of the web page. So you can see right now if I wanted this just to be all website visitors over the last 30 days, I could leave this as it is and I could just create this segment and it will build those out. If I wanted it to be 90 days, I would want to extend this out to 90 days and create that action. Now, a lot of people may be wondering, well that's great that I can build out an audience of anybody who's hit my website for the last 30 days, but oftent times you want to build out a list of people who have hit your website but have not become a lead or people who have hit your website and have not purchased cuz you don't want to spend precious marketing dollars on people who have already given you their information. So if you wanted to create a list like that, all you need to do is click on refined actions. And then from here you can define specific page URLs that you either want to exclude or include in this remarking list. So if I wanted to remarket to everybody on my website, but I wanted to exclude anybody who is like filled out a form or hit the thank you page. What I could do is I could come over here to to Google Ads and then I could say page URL contains or does not contain thank you. And the thank you will be dependent on whatever your URL rules are. For this one, for example, if you don't know what the URL rules are, what you want to do is come to your main form. Come over here and then fill out just like a test form real quick. I'm going to fill out a test form. And you can see right here, right now, it's just the URL. And then once we hit submit, this is going to take us to a thank you page. So, you can see in this case, mine is thank-u. Yours is going to be different depending on whatever your website is. Some people it's just thank, some people it's confirmation page, whatever it may be. We're going to copy this. We're going to come back over to Google Ads, and then we're going to copy it in there just as it is. So, if the page URL contains thank you, we are not going to remark it to anybody who has hit that page. And then from here you can also do all sorts of fancy things like you could do or actions. So anybody who has hit this page or this page or you could do also and functions where you can say anybody who's hit this page, this page, maybe they've hit my pricing page and my subscription page and so therefore I want to remarket to them because they're a higher value audience. That's where you could build out audiences like that. But for the demonstration of this video, we're going to keep it simple. We're just going to exit out of here and then only have this be for 90 days on this particular one. So we're going to anybody who has hit our website in the last 90 days. And then finally, you can come down here to the pre-filled options. I would recommend leaving this checked. It's going to prefill your remarketing data for the last 30 days. So, it's not starting fresh. Leave it checked. Basically, for most people, you're going to want to. And then finally, you can give this a description if you wanted to give it a little bit more of a description. Then, we're going to create the segment. From here, you're going to see it will start populating the data. It's going to take around 24 to 48 hours for this to populate. And Google says even 72 hours. Sometimes here, most in my experience, it's usually around 48 hours. So, keep that in mind before this list is completely populated. So, that is how you can create a remarketing list in Google Ads. You can basically repeat that process and just follow this sheet right here. If you wanted to create all of these different options inside of your Google Ads account. Now, if you are happy with your Google Ads setup and all of those audiences inside of there, you can skip the next part. You don't have to also build the audiences in Google Analytics. If you have them in Google Analytics, it just gives you the option to import them into your Google Ads account. So, some people just prefer to do it in Google Analytics, some people like to do it in Google Ads, but like I said, I want to show you both options so you know what they both kind of look like. So, the first thing that you're going to want to do if you want to set up your audiences through Google Analytics, and once again, you don't have to do both of them. You can do one or the other is you want to come to your Google Analytics account. You want to exit out here and then you actually want to come to admin and you want to make sure that your Google Analytics account is linked with your Google Ads account. And in order to do that, you come over here to Google Ads link. Inside of there, you're going to click on link and then from here it will ask you to choose a Google Ads account. We're going to click on this. You want to make sure that you're using the same email for both your Google Ads and Google Analytics account. And you want to find your right Google Ads account here. This is the one that we're looking for. And then we're going to hit confirm here. That will then link the account. We can click that. You want to leave all these checked. Hit next here and then submit that. What this does is it allows us to import those audiences that we're about to create inside of Google Analytics into our Google Ads account. Now, once those are linked, what you can do is you can come back here to Google Ads. You can come over to the same place that we're at in tools and audience manager. And if you click the little blue plus, you'll see Google Analytics here. If you click here, it will then find your Google Analytics account. You can click on that and then hit continue here. And then from here, you can then create audiences either inside of Google Ads or Google Analytics. and they will show up in this little box right here. Now, there are pros and cons to doing both of them, just like doing one or the other. Here are kind of the pros on doing it in Google Analytics. I like that when you do it through this Google Analytics integration that it has suggested audiences for you. So, it'll have top suggestions, general suggestions that you can just click and build out or it has generate lead suggestions and then as your account gets really big, it will have like predictive audiences that you can build on here and then even audience templates for acquisition, all sorts of things like that. So, that's one of the pros of doing it through Google Analytics. One of the cons is when you create a custom audience, this interface I think confuses a lot of people because you kind of have to understand what to type in here. So I think that building them through Google Ads is a little bit more user friendly. But like I said, I want to show you both different ways to do this. So in order to build out a custom audience in Google Analytics that we use for our our remarketing is you come over here and we'll do the same example here with a 90-day visitor. So we'll just call this 90 days just to make things fast. So 90 days here you can add a condition and for this this is what I'm talking about. You have so many options here. It kind of overwhelms a lot of people. What you want to do is type in page and then you want to come here to page path and screen class. Click on that and then from here is where you can click the add filter and then this is where you can do the contain. So this is would be whatever your page may be. So you this the homepage privacy policy. If you wanted to target a specific page you could do that. And here if I wanted to target all people going to my homepage I could click this and then at any point in time is what we want. And then we could hit save there. It will give you an idea of the audience size for this. Except it didn't save that. So let me save and then apply. It will give you an idea of the audience size on this. And then from here you could also add an and if you wanted to do the same logic you could exclude a page. So you can do page path screen class. And then here you'd want to do does not contain. And then we would do the same thing where we do the thank you there. And then we could exclude anybody who has become a lead already in our funnel. And then there are lots of other fancy things you can do inside of here. But like I said, I wanted to make sure that this is for majority of people. These audiences are the ones you're going to be setting up inside of here. So you can save this or for I just want to do this last 90 days. And we're going to exit out of that and hit save. And then this will create our audience. We're going to hit done here. And then now we have a 90-day audience. And you can see the source is from Google Analytics. But as I mentioned, both of these audiences, I'm trying to figure out where to put myself. I'm not on the way. Both of these audiences will accomplish the exact same thing. I know I named them different, so it's a little bit confusing. They're both going to target the exact same people. So whether you do it through Google Analytics or Google Ads, it doesn't really matter. Like I said, I just want to show you your option. Now, one last option to create an audience. If you wanted to go this route, you can actually upload like customer list or exclude customers. If you wanted to do that, you can click on this and then you can upload the source. You can either grab a feed here and it will walk you through the process. I'm not going to go through that the whole process of this in this video. If you want a full video on that, comment down below and let me know and I'll walk you through this process. But I imagine most people are going to go with the Google Analytics or the Google Ads route. So I don't want to confuse too many people with the audience list. So now let's move on to the fun part, the step number three, and that is actually building out your campaign in Google. And as you can see here, I have three different ores. So you can either build a display remarketing campaign, which is most people think about like the banner ads that are floating on around the internet, or you can also build a YouTube remarketing campaign. and I'll show you how to do that. And then finally, the one that I think very little people know about is you can actually remarket search ads. So your basic text ads, you can set those up as a remarketing campaign as well. So let's talk about how to build out a display remarketing campaign. I'm going to show you how to quickly actually create these ads as well and a lot of your different options. So now we are actually inside of Google Ads. Let's go and build out this campaign. What we want to do first is click on this right here, new campaign. But we're going to click on new campaign here and we're click on that. And then for this example, like I said, we are going to be going for leads because we are a junk removal company. We're going to want to get as many of those leads coming through. If you were going for sales, you can click on this. The setup is going to be very similar, but for most people, I recommend either doing sales or leads, or you could do web traffic here. But we're going to do leads for this objective. And then we're going to hit continue here. And then from here, this is where we select a campaign type. Now, as you can see, there are lots of different campaign types. For us, we want to start off with display. And then I'll show you how to do this with video, just specifically for YouTube. If you don't want to show up on display, we're going to click on display here. And then it will ask for your business website. So, we're going to grab this real quick. We're going to come back here. We're just going to grab the base website, not the thank you page, and we are going to put this in here. And we're going to hit continue. Then this campaign name, I like to name this just display. And then remarketing, display remarketing. And then we're going to hit continue here. And then we're going to start this new one. Next thing is it's going to ask for the campaign settings. So you can add or the campaign location. You can add whatever location you want to, United States or specific locations inside of here. Now, if you're local service business and need to add a specific like zip code, you could add zip codes in here. So you can add a specific one. You can just type in the zip code and it will pop up in here. Here you can see it's popping up all these different zip codes and I could target that specific zip code. We're just going to keep this easy and keep it on the United States. We're going to keep the language on English. Most people, you are probably not running EU political ads, so you're going to hit no to this question right here and then say you don't plan on ever doing that. And then there are some more settings here that I would recommend taking a look at depending on what your needs are. There's the ad rotation. I recommend leaving this just as the default that it is on on the optimized best performing ads. And then you can decide which devices you want to target. Most of the time I recommend keeping all of these on here, but you could go through and filter some of them off if for whatever reason you want to show up on mobile phones or or on computers. And then on the settings here, you can also change the start time for them. And then right here, content exclusions. This is important. If you don't want your content to show up next to things that are like tragic, sensitive, or like sexual or sensational, shocking, you can opt out of these to make sure that you're not showing in. So if you don't want to show up for these, you click the box. So you want to click on them to make sure that you don't show up. So, I'd recommend taking a look at this and checking to make sure that you don't show up next to anything that you don't want your brand to show up next to. And then we're going to hit next here. And now it's going to ask for the budget. Now, a lot of people ask like, "Okay, what should my starting budget be?" With display remarketing campaigns, you can get clicks for, you know, pennies a lot of times. So, keep that in mind when you're just getting started with display remarketing. A lot of times, your budget can be anywhere from $5 to $10, and it will kind of cover the amount of traffic that you're going to be looking for. So, in this case, we're just going to set this at a $5 budget. You can see once you set the $5 budget, it will give you an idea on how many clicks you will get based on that budget. So you can play around with this to understand how many clicks maybe you want. So say that you wanted to spend $100 a day on remarketing. It will give you, you know, that's going to be almost,000 clicks a day to 7,000 clicks that you could be getting. So keep that in mind. I would just kind of press that in there and then see what your reach would look like there. For here, we're just going to keep this easy at $5 a day. And then for the bidding, you have three different options. You can either bid for conversions, which is would be a lead, or you could bid for conversion value, which would be like sales amount. You know, if you're selling a shirt for $32, it would optimize for the most amount of revenue possible. Or your third option is you can optimize just for viewable impressions. If you go for the viewable impressions, you'll get the most amount of impressions, but chances are you'll get the least amount of traffic. I would recommend going with conversions when possible. It's going to get you kind of the best results for your remarketing dollars. And then we are going to click on the next here. And then this is where the honestly the most important part comes into play. This is where you actually want to select the audience that you're going to be running. Now, you notice right here that optimized targeting is set up for you. Optimized targeting helps you get more conversions by using information such as landing page and assets. You have to opt out of this after you select an audience. If you're running a remarketing campaign and you don't opt out of this, Google is basically just going to ignore your remarking audience and show their ads to whoever they want to. So, you need to opt out of this and let me show you how to do that. So, first you're going to hit add targeting. And what we're looking for here is the audience segments. We're going to click on here and then this is where it's important that we went through and built out our audiences because when we click on here on browse and then we come down and we want to look for this right here, the how they've interacted with your business, your data, and we we click inside of here and then we click on the website visitors. You'll probably notice that these are the audiences that we just went through and built. So we have our 90 days, we have our all visitors 90 days, we have our all users junk removal. And you can go through and you can click any one of these ads or you can add multiple of these audiences if you wanted to. But generally for best practices, I recommend only adding one of these. So for this example, we're going to add the all visitors 90 days. Now, because this list isn't populated yet, you can see the size is zero and it's not giving me any estimates on how big this audience may be. So keep that in mind. If you're not seeing any estimates in there, it still may be populating. It may take a little bit of time, but let me give you an idea of what this would look like. So, if you had another audience in here on this right-hand column, it will give you an idea of the current clicks based on this audience, how many you can get. So, but we're going to click out of here, and we only want to make sure that we are showing for anybody who set our website in the last 90 days. And this is the setting that I was talking about that's really important to make sure that you uncheck if you actually want to make sure that you are hitting people in this remarketing list. We want to opt out of this so that Google doesn't have permission to show our ads to anybody that they think is going to be fit. And then next, we come over here. There are options to add more targeting, but for remarketing, you just want to hit this audience. So, I recommend only having the audience there. If you want to target multiple audiences, I recommend going through this process and creating multiple different audiences so that you can target them. Then, we're going to hit next here. And then now it's time for us to actually create our ad. So, the first thing we need to do is add our final URL here and then add our business name. And then next, this is where a lot of people used to get caught up and it was honestly like you'd have to go get a designer to actually build out your ads. But now with AI, it makes it really easy. So, let me show you a couple of different options that you have to create images for your business. So, if you come over here to images, Google now has this little beta thing where they can actually generate the images for you. So, all you need to do is give it a little bit of of a description. So, here I just said, "Hey, here is my logo." I I made sure to give it my logo. Can you go and create me some images for my business? And you can see it spit out a bunch of things that look like this that honestly look pretty good for just going through and creating those. So, if you don't know how to get images, you can go through and add them there. If you're wondering what size of image you need, there are three different sizes of images now for Google Ads remarketing that basically cover most of your the placements. The first one is this one by 91 by one. Then you have a one by one and then a 9 by6. These are the size that you can have when you create these ads. You're going to want to make sure these fit kind of into the frame there. You can select those. And what's nice about this is you can add up to 20 images for this. So you can see this AI just quickly spat out a bunch of images for me. So I'm going to grab a couple of these and add them in here. They actually turned out really well. If you don't like the way that they turned out, you can go and add another prompt and then create. Another tool that you can use is Creatify. And that's a video that I'll show you how to generate as well in case you want to run YouTube ads. You can see here with this one all you you can quickly go through and generate an image. I have a full tutorial on Creatify if you want to go and look at it. But if you want a little bit more control on what it says and what's going on here, you can get Creatify and it will build something out for you. But if you're looking for just a free option, then I would use what Google has built into the platform. So here's our images. We're going to hit save here. And what it's going to do is it's going to start generating a preview of what these look like. So you can see this is what they're going to look like on display when people are going through. And you can scroll and look at all the different options here on how they will kind of look. And then this is what it will look like in Gmail. So it'll have a little thing there. And then on YouTube, this is what it will look like. You can see I don't have any YouTube videos in here, so it's not really showing any of the YouTube placements, but I'll show you that in just a minute. Now, it will also suggest images from your website. So, if you wanted to add some of these inside of here, you could do that as well. It will go and test all of the images in here. So, best practice is I would recommend getting up to 15 images in here so that Google has as much information to test on your website as possible. But if you only have 5 to 10, then you can get started as well. Then, we want to make sure we add our logo here. So, we're going to add the logo. Make sure that looks okay. We're going to select that. And now you can see here it is asking for video. So if you wanted to run remarketing videos on YouTube, you can see it's optional, but a lot of times you know YouTube has a really good reach and videos can be really good strategy for people wanting to run ads and get in front of their customers. So if I wanted to create a video for this, you can click here and this is where you could add an asset. The thing about YouTube videos is they have to be uploaded to YouTube first in order to run them. And for a lot of people, creating YouTube videos is a little bit of a difficult task. They don't really have a good video generator that's for free. That is where I would recommend using something like creatify. With creatify what you can do is you can come over to the video here. Let me show you. Once you get into the you can come over here to asset generator and you can use sor 2 to give it a prompt and then it will spit something out. And here's the prompt that I gave it. I went over to here's my files. So I gave it this prompt where I gave it a bunch of different scenes. So what I did is I came in and I said I did the sort of 2 and then I did an image to a video. I gave it my logo and then I gave it some of the scenes that I wanted it to create and it in within three or five minutes spit out a video that looks something like this. So if you are wondering like hey I want to run YouTube ads but I don't want to go out and hire a big old video team to do things. This is an option for you. You could always go through and create those videos but I want to give you options when it comes to creative. So this is what it spit out based off of that. >> The clutter piling up Vogler junk removal makes it disappear. Our professional team arrives on time in [music] a clean branded truck and handles the heavy lifting for you. From old furniture to broken appliances, we load. >> So there is an ad that you could quickly go and create. Now if you are happy with this ad, you can download it. As I mentioned, in order to run YouTube videos, it does need to be put inside of YouTube. So if we come back over here to Google and click on the video here, you have to search for it on YouTube. So let me show you how to quickly upload this on YouTube. It can be on any account and it can even be unlisted. It just needs to be uploaded to YouTube before you can run it as an ad. Okay. So what you want to do is come to YouTube and then in YouTube, click on YouTube Studios. You'll see it up here in the top rightand corner. Once you're in YouTube Studios, this is just an account. If you wanted to create a business account, you could do this. You can see this is just like a personal account that I have that somehow has three subscribers even though I don't post anything on here. But once you get to there, here you can click on the create upload video and then you just select the file and we're going to select the file that we just got here. Upload this. And we don't want this video to be public cuz we don't want it actually on our profile. We just need it to be up here on YouTube. We're going to give this a quick name. We'll call it vulgar. You can give it a title. It's not going to show the title inside of here, but you can give it a title if you want in the description. And then you can hit no, not for kids. And then hit next here. You don't need to worry about any of these things. Just keep hitting next. Make sure you don't have any copyright. And then right here, this is where you can put it as unlisted. We're going to have it as unlisted here. Click save. And then once that is unlisted, it will give us the link right here that we can copy. Search on YouTube. And then click this. It may take it a second. Oh, look at that. Within like 1 minute, it's inside of there. And we have our video. So then we can put it in here. And then now this will show to anybody who comes onto YouTube who hit our website and is now searching on YouTube. It will show a video that looks something like this. We'll give this a second to see if it gives us a preview. And we can come over here. And this is a preview of what the ads will look like. And it's still it's being buggy for whatever reason, but usually you'll be able to see a preview of what the video will look like. If you want to look at all of your ads, what they will look like, kind of how Google will test them. You can click on here and you can look at all. And you can scroll down. Basically, from these few images, and you can see in just a few minutes, we've been able to create all of these different ad types inside of here. Next, you're going to want to scroll down and make sure that you add headlines. Now, I would recommend adding as many headlines as possible. You can add up to, I believe, 15 and then even a long headline. This needs to be under 90 characters. And then for the description up to under 90 characters as well. You can see here Google will give you an ad strength. You want this to be as high as possible. You see right now it wants me to add more headlines and descriptions in order to improve my ad strength. So if I click inside of here, it will recommend some things that I can put in there. Or you can just go into chat GPT and ask it to give you some headlines and descriptions. But as you start to add more, it will improve your score. I would recommend filling out the most amount of possible. So you can see I filled all those out and now my headlines are completely filled right here. And you can do the same thing with the descriptions where you fill that all out to get the best results possible. And then I would recommend coming down here to the add URL options. I don't know why this isn't just like automatically in here. But you want to click on more options and then call to action text. And then from here you can either have it be automated. So Google test different called actions or if you wanted to give it a specific call to action you could have it here. Like get a quote is probably what I would want to do in this case. And then from here if you're happy with the way that the ad is looking you can now hit next. All right. And then from here you just want to look at all the settings. Make sure everything looks okay. And then you can hit publish campaign. Okay. And this will then take you to a view that looks like this where you have display remarketing. That's our campaign name. If you click inside of here, this is the ad group right here. And this you can name this back to like the audience that you were targeting. Like this is 90 days remarketing. And if you wanted to test different remarketing audiences, what I would recommend doing is clicking in here in the ad group level. Click on the plus. And then from here, you can keep it all in the same ad group, but then you just create the new ad right inside of this way. And you can add additional targeting. So say that instead of a 90-day audience, I wanted to come in here and I wanted targeting a 30-day audience. I can click here and then we're looking for the data. and then there. And then we could do the 30-day audience. And then same thing, we' call this 30 days. And you don't have to do this. This is just if you wanted to test multiple remarketing audiences. And then you could scroll down. And then once again, make sure that you opt out of this optimized targeting. And then you can go through and build your ad and repeat that process. Now, if you wanted to create a YouTube specific video or campaign and not have all the display ads inside of there, you would follow a very similar process. So what you would do is you can come over here to this create button and then you can create a new campaign. And then we would follow the same process where we go to leads and then continue. And then we would come over here. Instead of the display, you could do video and it would only show up on the display and the YouTube network if you wanted it to be more heavy towards YouTube. It'd be a very similar setup as far as that goes. So that would cover how to set this up on display remarketing or on YouTube. The last thing that I want to cover is how to run remarketing ads for search campaigns. So if you see a normal text ad, you can actually remarket people based on your search campaigns. And in order to do that, what you do is you come over to one of your campaigns. After you've built out a search campaign, if you don't know how to build out a search campaign, I'll leave a link to one down below here. But you want to come over to your search campaigns. You click on that and we find our search campaign. You click inside of the search campaign and then you come over here to tools or sorry, you come over here to campaign and then we're going to come over down and we're going to click on audiences. Inside of audiences, you can see there are audience segments that you can add an audience segment to the campaign. And from here, we could say that if we wanted to add our remarking list, we can do our data and we could do website visitors 90 days or website visitors 30 days here. And if we wanted to only target people who have come to our website and then also later on Google are searching for things like junk removal or voggler junk removal, we can make sure that we're showing up for those people if we target this list specifically. Now, this is a little bit more of an advanced thing inside of Google Ads. So, I wouldn't recommend doing this to begin with, and honestly, it's probably the least used feature inside of Google Ads remarketing, but I just want you to know that it's an option inside of there. Most of the time, I just recommend adding these in as an observation. But if you wanted to target those people specifically where they are looking for your keyword and they're in your remarketing list, you could set it up that way as well. So there you have it. The full funnel from beginning to end in three steps. I know there's a lot in between there, but hopefully you found this valuable. If you did, don't forget to subscribe on the way out. And if you want a full Google Ads tutorial that expands out more than just the remarketing campaign, be sure to check out this video right here. and we'll see you in the next one.
