welcome back to my let's play of outer Wilds hello hello I had some thoughts we're on Fresh session again I had some thoughts I thought about some theories I wrote some stuff down in a notebook because I wanted to organize my thoughts a bit although I still feel like I'm very far away from actually learning anything I wanted to write my the series down so I could share them with you where do I even start I swear sometimes the Gasping is louder does it always fire in the same direction either I swear sometimes it fires in a different direction I don't even know but anyway I had some thoughts my first thought was about quantum mechanics quantum mechanics keeps being referenced and I was thinking about what I think the most relevant aspects of quantum mechanics will be and for me I believe wait actually do I want to go to the museum I think I do I want to talk about my theories and go to the museum so quantum mechanics the two features of quantum mechanics that I think will be most relevant here are one the S I'm just looking down at the notes I took one the observer effect which is basically the phenomenon that behavior can change after being observed or the simple Act of observation can change Behavior so we see this with the quantum rocks of course also the wandering Moon the quantum Moon it seems to move when it's not being observed or rather when it is observed that's when it moves and of course we see it in the museum is this even the way to the museum maybe are we getting music music yes wait the launch Tower wait am I going the wrong way have I gone backwards the music distracted me I wanted to go to the museum this isn't the museum right wait this must be the museum right here yes this is the Museum of course I was right there so the observer effect wait hornfels were you always here not even a little close wait this this is new isn't it I'm not even a little closer to understanding what's going on with the Statue is there something you needed I found feldspar you found feldspar and there're in dark Bramble stars above this is wonderful news thank you thank you for oh my gosh I never checked in with people back on on Hearth what is it this plan called I should know that felspar didn't immediately join you on your ship and return here is incredibly felb of them we were never entirely sure what felspar was thinking back then either still we have to fish them out of that Dreadful place with all haste I'll radio gson to have them prepare a ship it really should be gson who brings f our home again thank you you can hardly imagine how profoundly halfing am to hear they're alive and unharmed okay got to see this the statue's Eyes Are Open not sure why they open no one actually saw it h i saw it happen I guess not in this lifetime this is huge news should someone tell Gabriel or maybe rebeck oh Stars this is so exciting it's making my stomach hurt okay back to my theories first Theory observer effect case in point this rock you see when it is observed it changes now this is related to the other aspect of quantum mechanics that I think will be relevant which is quantum superpositions the idea that electrons or other things ouch can be in two places at once in a Quantum super position they can have two waveforms or more I guess um and then the act of observation will collapse the wave function causing it to be in just one place you can see this with like the double slit experiment with the photons or electrons where they will pass through both slits when they are not observed but when they are observed they will only pass through one so when they are observed the wave function collapses and they can only be in one place at a time but when they're not observed they can exist in a Quantum super position why is that glowing pink when they're not observed they can exist in Quantum super position and be in many places at once this I also think will be relevant and it makes me wonder if like I don't know I'm curious about the Nomi and I feel like they need to they need to exist narratively like they should be somewhere so I was thinking what if the Nomi exist in this universe or maybe an overlapping universe that is somehow different and somehow similar but since they have not been observed they are not occupying just one place and then I was thinking about the quantum Moon how the no hean has been there and the Nomi always arrive at the South Pole everyone who goes there I don't know I don't know what it all means but what if aaran were to go there would they arrive at the North Pole would they arrive at the South Pole would they arrive somewhere else would they exist in like an overlapping universe but unable to interact act that was one of my thoughts not really a theory just just a thought um I also wondered if the Nomi and the hearthians have any overlap in their timeline because I remember my fuel level is critical can I fly over there yes I remember in the logs where they're talking about building the sun station they talk about wiping out all of the biodiversity in the solar system or something like that which makes me wonder if the hearthians were already alive but maybe they were not Sapient yet maybe they weren not Sapient life yet like maybe the Nomi knew about the hearthians but then why wouldn't they write about them maybe it's not that relevant sad [Music] um did it what is what am I even looking at I don't know there's this just my everything in the game I'm just like what am I even looking at I have no idea where do I want to go wait actually I did want to go here I'm getting oh wait wait wait wait wait my known bug by the way hold on engage autopilot don't fly me into the sun please please I'm just trying to talk about my theories here it's going to fly me into the sun isn't it please no I'm going into the sun it's too late Goodbye cruel world I can cannot just talk about her theories in peace anyway I was wondering if there's any overlap in the Nomi and the hearthians did they ever exist at the same time time I know I had the theory that the hearthians evolv from the Nomi but then it was immediately disproven because the museum said it's impossible but I don't know is anything truly impossible maybe it always shoots that way anyway is there overlap between the Nomi and the hearthians did they ever exist at the same time before the hearthians were intelligent life before they were sap because the no mind did seem to know something special was here in the universe or in the solar system I mean that's why they were like it would be a real shame to destroy it by building the sun station which is also one of my theories I do have a theory what is that about the sun station okay I'm not going to worry about that just yet I do have a theory about the sun station are you going to hey hey hey hey there's a planet in the way there's a planet in the way okay it's fine the sun the sun station my thought was that the sun station was a way to harvest energy perhaps and the sun station would make the sun age very quickly oh wait I was supposed to read this is the museum too I forgot I wanted to read about how a a star goes Supernova how it turns into a red giant because my other thought was that it could have aged the Sun what is this have I been here it could have made the Sun age very quickly by uh using the sun's fuel the fusion material that the sun would normally use so the sun runs out earlier and then begins its transformation into a red giant and then goes Supernova but also somehow the orbital probe is also maybe has something to do with it so basically I don't know these are my thoughts anyway let's um I wanted to wait hold on I wanted to find the quantum fluctuation but what is this okay I'll go let's go check it out I guess oh wait is this where the distress Beacon was whoa it moves I didn't realize it moved wait is that why the sand sometimes fills up it's all very mysterious who's here is somebody here I guess so ouch ouch what is this ouch I don't know let's just explore around here wait have I been down there I can go down there wait can I ouch that's glass of course it wouldn't be this easy post matter sunless City [Music] oh this is another way to get to the sunless City I wonder if we'll be able to find a way to get through ghost matter I had to thought about ghost matter too but all my theories are just crackpot theories in the moment my crackpot theory about ghost matter was like What if ghost matter is somehow the Nomi presence I feel like everything has to be related everything has to be relevant I just accepted ghost matter is just a a function of the universe uhoh hey please don't but maybe it's more than that maybe ghost matter is like know my souls or something the know my souls and it represents where they are can I read this if they're truly like overlapping you know if they exist in this universe but not note this door will need to remain closed for some time plan are running an experiment based on the extraordinary findings from the white hole station I don't like the white hole station every time I go there I die Ramy and I will be running this experiment until one of us specifically me can prove the other wrong so although it's inconvenient the lab currently can only be accessed by the path from the sunless City inviting sand inside would disrupt our setup and could have enormous consequences we realized this is an intriguing Prospect but the door must remain closed nonetheless well can I open the door an update the high energy lab is now being used to design the ash twin project if you're here to help or even just to observe be sure to use the sunless City path to the lab high energy lab okay certainly looks closed and that's where I was it got dark did I follow these stairs yet I don't think so wait did they just lean back down there though there's the sun this place must be very hot oh I walk forward until you meet the sandfall and then turn left continue I can do this although I am curious what happens if I do it wrong I don't know I'm afraid of the sunless City so I want to limit the amount of time I have to spend here if at all possible Bridge oh you here have I made it okay we're trying to go to the lab oh 50% fuel remaining I use a lot of fuel the lab but also the hold on I keep getting distracted I mean to go there to look at the the quantum Shard the quantum fluctuations but I keep getting distracted by the sunless City it calls to me even though it hates me first launch went well then welcome to hourglass twins M the sand now where'd you go up to Horns spells hornfels asked me to update our Star Charts I'm out here observing this is one of the best places in the solar center to spot Astron astronomic astronomical events you know what's weird is I've actually seen a couple of super no today usually I'd be fortunate to see just when there's about to be another one with this sun an I on four an i or four on the stars and maybe you'll spot one yourself I found something I found your notes about the atler Rock's main crater the planet I mentioned may I don't remember what the notes were I'm going to be honest may have been frozen solid was it the ice one like a much colder giy and deep it's hard to say it used to be the fifth planet in our solar system you'll notice of course there's no such planet now in its place is dark Bramble which how to put this grew into the space the fifth planet used to occupy that is dark Bramble quite literally appeared at the center of the fifth planet and began destroying it from the inside out eventually the plan shattered completely and it shards were flung across space some of these shards collided with the celestial bodies in our solar system such as The ashler Rock which I believe is how its biggest crater was formed I have a question for you how do I know if I've spotted a supernova supernova look like extra bright stars to the naked eye but if you zoom in with your signal scope you can tell they're actually enormous explosions massive stars go supernova at the very end of their lifespans which why it's so unusual to see two in a single day wonder if some of these stars are older than we've realized is the universe older than we realized how old because the ey seems to be older than the universe maybe the universe is just older than we thought or this orbital probe what is it is causing stars to age faster maybe it wasn't only shot at our sun but other stars as well we now documenting Stars hornfels noticed our Star Charts are out of date so they have asked me to update them please tell the others I said this but sometimes I think I'm the only traveler out out here interested in doing any science at all or no or maybe don't tell hornfels either I think they're pretty deep in denial where should I explore I haven't left this lake bed I don't mind mean to brag but I'm really quite good with the little Scouts I've been taking pictures of everything from right here in my campsite you've seen the old shipwreck site on Ember twin southern hemisphere the one shooting a bright beam of light into the sky it's not one of our crashes surprisingly enough that one's a n my ship find know my ruins across the twins but strangely enough not I found a settlement believe me if there was one to see it I've seen it with my little Scout I don't know about that so where did they live not on the surface clearly I'm T is full of cave systems though maybe the answer lies underground it does how dangerous is that column of sand on a scale of one to dead I'd give it a seven or eight awfully pretty though right now sand is fling from Ash twin to em twin but did you know the process eventually reverses oh that's that's why it's not always full of sand we're not sure completely sure why the sand floats back and forth between the Twins but it seems to be a natural phenomena oh if you'd like to see something interesting check out the other twin ones a little more of it sand drains off I promise you won't be disappointed oh what are you up to okay I found something okay that's the same check it out once more of the sand disappears like that where's my ship oh I see my problem why do I keep Landing it like this wait I was supposed to find the quantum immensely clever conoy would lose his own head if we weren't anatomically impossible that's all ship log updated oh my goodness I didn't even see you oh no see it's very suspicious like how are the clothes still in such a good State it's not like there's no atmosphere here there's literally a giant pillar of sand that comes and destroys everything in its path oh I don't know which direction the sand is going still this is oh this is this building I see they're connected oh what's this one well I ever land I hope so I feel like I was going to say something and now I've completely forgotten oh what is this oh I was upside down here's our first delivery yo one warp cord they did manage to make it then fresh from the black hole Forge rud is installing the cor sibling on brittle Hollow as I write this my gratitude claring with this the ash twin project is underway I confess I'm deeply curious about what you and poke found in the White Hall station that started this project could I visit sometime to learn more I recommend you do the White Hall station is the model for the towers being built for the ash twin project so visit the station would be doubly useful it seems to have been destroyed the White Hall Station I suppose more precisely I would like to visit the White Hall station with you Clary are they flirting hero stop using the scroll wall to flirt with my sister in sand am I just going in circles I am and everything's filling with sand I don't like that ouch I don't like this place maybe I want to get taken out of this Loop I'm not finding my Scout I'm not finding the I don't know I feel like it's in the cave somewhere I don't want to be in the caves anymore take me out of here goodbye goodbye the sand Planet destroys me it destroy dys me maybe I should go find wait isn't the other one in Giants deep though maybe it's not that easy to find all of the the quantum shards [Music] oh did I learn anything what have I learned I've raised even more pods I could go to the ash twin or the black hole Forge again I like this purple stuff but I'm I'm not making much project with it I'm also very intrigued by the color coding what does it mean I don't even remember where this was this a gravity Cannon Quantum Moon take me to the quantum Moon white hole station maybe maybe I tried to go to Giants deep oh we're spinning too much [Music] spein less easy to find it well it's kind of barren though oh it must be wait was I looking for the quantum Moon all this time and it's so boring it's just boring what's its deal Quantum Moon did it leave is it gone oh it's there it's not that hard to get to but oh there it is again it just moves around a lot but there's doesn't seem to be much to do on the quantum Moon not the peak tourist destination I have to admit okay well at least we at least we got to take a visit to the quantum Moon I am going to leave this part here thank you for hanging out this a little bit scary hold on can we okay this is
