here's our guys all were doing welcome to a new video tutorial from IPS today I'm gonna drop a new comparison a brand new video and we're gonna just talk about the great topic a lot of people are what it's told for me to talk about which is the visual studio code that's already is pretty much so visual studio code versus Adam so which one is better which one is better for like which case scenarios and when should I use this and when should I do is that and which one should I go or for my daily basis development IDE so we're just gonna go ahead and cover that through this video tutorial just do this presentation I'm just gonna let you understand which one you should choose which one you shouldn't choose and pros and cons and all the different things we need to cover on there like a different comparison first video tutorial also the end I'm just gonna take a look on Visual Studio code and the actual IDE and you know we eventually the the decision it would be yours but I'm just gonna try to guide you through this and just give you some help so we'll just go ahead and start using this presentation so if you have been like trying to choose between either video Civil Code or awesome we try to use for your David bowl in Korea well you might be able to find that one after this this quick little tutorial or this quick guide so we'll just go ahead and go through a quick introduction to what is t20 code and what if you had some so vs code or visual civil code is the source code it is developed by Microsoft with Windows Linux and Mac was a very much too cross-platform it includes a support for debugging embedded control syntax highlighting intelligence or Eliza's code completion snippets and code tracking and much much more like extensions and like plugins applying all the different things and of course this code in theory is open source really made for you by get out so all the different issues are from Wikipedia so you know like I just made them for you and the second thing we have awesome absolutely free and open source text and source code editor for Mac OS X Linux and windows and yet again it's cross platform with the support full of plugins ringing nodejs and embedded get control developer by github so I to meet Vaughn point github visual serial code is developer by Microsoft and both of them are free free of charge and open source so you can use them on your daily basis to go into career so let's get some more in depth about which one you should choose and see the pros and cons about each one so start with Visual Studio code or vs code so visitor code is a powerful IDE but still have some side issues my room the whole experience of the user Visual Studio code so let's first see the pros of visual silicones it's perhaps like a fast and responsive editor easy to install and use extensions like he you I through you are you can quickly or easily install and manage the extensions you have for your workspace or for liking globally and you have like a customizable code interfaces workspace and settings so you can just go ahead and do like a workup a correct space settings or a user settings which gets saved to all the workspaces or just specifically for that workspace this feature I really like it about Visual Studio code I really enjoy using it with in July intelligence a little innocence help you to quickly code and debug and navigate through your files and projects so you can just go ahead and open up your projects through it so enter license from Visual Studio code it's gonna help like find the files you are importing or you're exporting where you wear this like class is coming from we're doing all that when to cool this and believe all different things and also can help you and you're like a really big deal or a huge deal debugging your code so yeah it's gonna help you a lot with influences it does have like you can just go ahead and jump from one file to another file or to some portal like one section will file into a currently open it although file and you can just edit it pretty quickly save it and continue your work in the cringe point which is pretty pretty simple and pretty pretty interesting it has an advanced breakpoint debugging system which answer my might not have this kind of thing so we feel like a debugging guy who likes running I mean we just do code like the D board inside of it so it has like a full debugging system you could run the application especially no GS to its full support to node.js you could run an odious application you saw the debugger and the debugger cannot tell you if there's any bugs if something happened you can even set a breakpoint and the debugger telling gonna tell you which point has been triggered which nods and when when that prick point has been triggered up pretty much so you're gonna have like a plenty in planes for you I really mean for you actually for the debugging thing so if you like Visual Studio the mobile visual studio in 2017 is on 2015 version you get a definite like Visual Studio code using the debugger in the brake system and we have also visited users would love it for local fields so it sounds like a very very unique look and feel I would personally do long pass the layout the color scheme the code scheme everything since I didn't like using Visual Studio for a long time and actually I moved into position code no like for web development and not that much of like this table dependent development just for like dynamic languages and it liked it from the first look so it sounds like a very nice Kirksey pretty colors nice colors pretty much and a nice like layouts windows and a lot of different things the like or the most thing I love about this is the integrated terminal so it has like Visual Studio code has an integrated tribunal in build-team terminal so you don't need to go get out the features of your code and use other like third-party terminal or the windows cm if you're in Windows or Linux terminal or Mac OS X terminal now it has that built into it so like window you just like you can drag it you can put it on somewhere else or like on the layouts of your code editor and you can do plenty of other things with it you can choose from like CMD powershell and bash I don't know I put it there CMS sorry but it should be like CMD command line perms or power shell or bash or in pictures from a difference she'll surely two faces so yeah you can do a plenty of things for this one now we wanted to be constant for the cause there's a the purpose might not like using Microsoft Project so I know plenty of developers a lot of them actually doesn't actually love using Microsoft products also you say like Asia or say something like related to Microsoft a they say what Microsoft no way I'm not gonna choose Microsoft this is miserable so yeah they like lightly hates Microsoft products while Microsoft in the few last years left choosing a brand new plan which is going through the open source or yeah they've been like closed all the time now they are trying to make everything no personal especially with these new IDs with acquiring github recently implement things Microsoft is deep there so if you're a bad guy make sure to just like go ahead and give a Microsoft another chance and probably you can just go ahead and try and you just do code it's not that bad I really like it just go ahead and check it out and you can just take a look some of these can crash your system so like let's say you're in June there's of July's updates so you download that July's update you update with your visual studio code to the latest version and boom the crash happened your visual studio version with the specific code version is like you know crashed and your whole system scratch you can't count anymore I know it's like you know it's like very very very interesting and I don't like this at all but you still can get back to the last version which is you know pretty bad but still have some fix at least sometimes it becomes very responsive and language so if you have like you know let's Ram like about 4 gigs a gig so you know I'm gonna be able to use a lot of this you know I'm gonna be able to open up a lot of Windows especially when opening a lot of window and actually installing a lot of extensions on your workspace so you're gonna have like a pretty bad hang-ups pretty bad crashes for visitor code and responsive things stops working by itself I'll tell you all the things so make sure to just to make hits you know like run with it try it first and you can just give it a shot and longer lunch time comparative ID so we try to lunch Visual Studio code for the first time when your computer when they turn on so you're just gonna take a little bit longer compared to other IDs that say I don't know some words in sublime or something like this - the bomb is not an ID but yeah it can take a little longer which is not that bad but still might be a hassle for a lot of developers over so that was it for business - the code let's just jump into items the github editor so yeah as you know it's made by again what about get hubs open source ID also so for the process of s there is a suitable for heavy development so you have like a very heavy project with your lot of team launch team members and you want to just like ticking item is the great choice for you oh yeah I've tried it a lot submission just go ahead and check it it tells a customizable you can customize actually the entire working scheme use color layouts it has more customizable system been doing digit Co Co so if you like this guy who loves customizing lost colors of themes it like a patch on house all of this it has a lot of themes built in all third party themes really made for you so you can just go ahead check them out and install them very easily in your editor you can pretty easy to very easy to create integrate your own custom packages so you can create your even own custom packages let's say you have like a missing feature you want to add that you also automate this so you can just go ahead and do this feature like I'm Stahl created by yourself it's quickly and easy and you can just go and integrated into your projects in a very very easy way also package manager a p.m. can do a lot for you so for awesome it has like an add some package manager so like rather than Visual Studio currently how place interface which allow you to install extensions directly Adam does not have this so Adam you need like to run from the terminal like a command-line interface which called a p.m. you know if you're familiar with NPM it's a p.m. you need to download it and install it separately and after doing this you can just go ahead and install packages you can like manage or like manipulate at them the way you want to be using this package manager so it can help you do a lot of things as well as like a lot of people might find it's a little bit like under estimating you know because someone who likes UI in lots pretty simple things ABM is not that simple it hasn't like a huge set of packages for any tax you require so like a very very large set of packages really move for you work by third party community a huge community actually since it's no resource so a lot of people are just you know backing up Adam and creating packages for its so on and so forth so you can just go ahead and grab any package you imagine this is like out there on the the package manager just go ahead install it in Eureka and it's also a full gifts and github support since it's from github so it sounds like an incredible support from github so you can just easily integrate commits push your code or fetch from that you can just collaborate with all people you can do planning things with the github or shared teams or collaborative projects using the Adam since it's fast especially on github as I said because it's made but github so it has that really really perfect like official support so yeah this is this is what about a lot of code themes I said folks about this so any things you think about it's right there available for you now for the cost gets lower laggy when installing a lot of packages so when you install a lot of packages especially in your work space it gets super super laggy super super slowly I don't know worried that hopefully they would fix this bugs but it gets so that so you need to like you know disable some packages you're not required as as any other packages but they are still a really huge thing to think about no integrated terminal which is a shame I really love contributed to it especially from Visual Studio code the terminal I use it every day user to use run web packed ran my server like development server I use it to do a plenty of things without moving in and like using over third-party terminal like slender or turbine arcs or something like this I really really love this hopefully they will add something like this I really hope for this so but there's no interview terminal crashing has a lot of heavy not needed packages so item comes with a pre-installed packages if they are not needed actually at all for you like what people want to do like a lightweight project so you feel like a little system you're gonna experience a lot of hangings a lot of crashes because of this like pre-built or pre-installed packages so you know like it's pretty hangs a little bit all still pretty much fine and the documentation of item is body in places so there isn't that much of thing about the documentation you can't read through it a lot it doesn't have that useful information hopefully they would add as soon as possible but yeah that was it actually for the atom I really like it hopefully they would add something to the documentation make it like user friendly and make it easier to read through so it's like he knows his body so yeah this is for patch room let's see now the show things or the shirt features between video city code and authenticity are like very very similar needs to each other so they share a lot of things there's a lot of things in common between between those of these IDs so yeah they have like a lot of shared features first of things is they are both open source by the ease and you know that's what Microsoft the other one from get up so both of them on augur source also both are cross-platform and portable so you can just pour it to whatever platform you like even when your USB thumb drive and you can just pretty everywhere and run it from there and also cross-platform so you don't have no worries about the platform independent thing so you can run Windows Linux or even Mac OSX pretty simple pretty easy and also built on top electron so if you're not familiar trying to turn the framework that allows you to create this top application is pretty much using the web technologies acknowledges as we use JavaScript HTML CSS and pretty other common frameworks and version control specially gets so they are fully supported with visual control you can easily collaborate with like open source project as well as the third-party packages so large set up for 30 40 packages atom or visitor Carol they both have that community who creates packages in each like needed on each feature they add packages and extensions so you're always going to find what you want from this extensions and also gonna help you the main point of the part of this party's help you give the job time very easily and help you throughout your development journey so yeah this is the basic thing since they are very common so it not like that much of an interesting thing would not require to choose the best thing you can just choose something you really like about you preference like fidget cedar card or even after so you can just go ahead and do that since they are very very common and they are very similar to each other and one quick notice since this Microsoft like to require a github so but with Adam and business leader code now are in the hands of Microsoft or someone who's peering about Microsoft here you go Microsoft is requiring github which means the office belongs to belongs actually to or after much it belongs to get up so since Microsoft acquired this you've got a partition so yeah no worries what should I go for eventually well if you're still can't quite figure out what to choose also going through this comparison here is my personal thoughts and opinions of what I choose what to choose depending on your current situation so again this is only my opinions and my thoughts yeah you can just take it away you can just discover this I'm just like trying to help over you so if you're a developer who cares about heavy projects development a lot exploring a lot of third-party packages and use them through your process or develop process and customizing care thieves will I would advise you to go for pattern just try it for a couple of days or even weeks and you can just always move on or move back to your pseudocode or whatever just give it a try and then you're totally safe or you intend for or you aren't into development with no G especially as a normal race with a lot of debugging and bug fixing and also a lot of like your lovely much something quick and lightweight running code on you might want to try and visual severe code so it's a great idea from Microsoft open source with a lot of sets of very useful extensions and quick and easy to use right out of the box so you can just quickly install them quickly manipulate and manage them and you know themes are available to and customizable as much as customizable add some but they still very customizable and you can just use them however you want so I'm very comfortable or using both of them and have both of them install to my machine so I have patch um adversity you see the color but if you have like notice tomorrow on my channel so I used which is difficult a lot by it I still used item as well so yeah no worries about this I use them depending on what what I need depending on what scenario I'm currently on or currently facing so yeah it depends on the current situation and most importantly enjoy your Quixote so yeah that's actually guys this to destroy the stuff it's not like actually it store just a guide or guide you through the be the ID you should choose for your development for your daily basis use for your development career so which one you should use uh like the final thoughts I would advise you to go ahead and double both of them if you haven't already and choose better than like you know double hub and install them and try both of them and you can preference that after frying them for a couple of weeks you can get a point and you can actually know each one should go for so if you still can't quite figure out something that's watching you guys I've said I hope you guys all enjoy the video tutorial if you like any other topics to talk about just give me in the comments I'll be very helpful to give you any hints and help anywhere anyways so yeah cut your guys I'll play in the next video
