i have left my job and i will be joining a mission you probably have some guess on what that mission is when i started youtube channel it was to distract my mind from the gloomy thoughts about my health at that time but eventually this thing became big today more than half a million people care about what i teach online and this is not a side gig anymore it has become something very serious and throughout this journey lot of amazing incidents have happened i received so many emails and messages where people said that by following code basics video they were able to crack a job interview [Music] or maybe there was a university student who was facing a lot of difficulties in understanding let's say what is convolutional neural network and by following my videos they're able to understand those complex topics uh in a better way all these emails when i read it it kind of makes me think that i'm creating some impact at the end of the day everyone is going to be dead and when we are dead what really matters is what kind of impact you have left behind and it was my personal wish that i want to live an impactful life when i say impact i don't i don't mean just my family you know you do good things for your family but i wanted to go beyond little beyond my family and i see that thing happening through youtube through online teaching i also got this ai super computer from nvidia where they give me this dj station to experiment for good six months i never thought this would happen this was like hundred and fifty thousand dollar machine state-of-the-art ai supercomputer which i got an opportunity to work with i also have a very good relationship with nvidia today where you know we recently did this gtc giveaway and we we give away uh this rtx 3080 ti gpu i was also invited into many universities into podcast for giving lectures personal interviews [Music] many ad tech companies reached out to me offered me an equity and i started thinking oh my god this is overwhelming for me it was just publishing videos online but the end impact that it created was much more than what i had originally thought [Music] i was in india recently and i had this in-person code basics meetup where one guy travelled four hours just to meet me he gave me a book as a gift and then he went back again traveling by four hours so and then there were other folks who traveled two hours three hours they just wanted to meet me and say thanks and i was very humbled i don't think i'm doing anything special on youtube but and i believe i'm just sharing my experiences but just this social media platform is so powerful that unknowingly maybe i was able to create a little bigger impact than what i had thought originally otherwise people won't travel for many hours just to meet you and take a selfie with you so this thing the whole thing about online teaching is not just a career okay it makes me some money but it's it's beyond career it is all about living an impactful life or living your icky ikigai and to fulfill this mission i am going to lay out my mission statement first and that mission statement would be i want to provide a high quality education a very easy explanation of most topics in the world at a very affordable price to anyone who has a decent internet connection so that is the mission statement that i'm setting for myself today and to fulfill this mission i'm going to be doing few things number one i will continue my work on youtube i will continue uploading a high quality tutorials i have my nlp series i have an upcoming computer vision series i am going to be doing a lot of projects whether it's data analytics python project pandas or machine learning i'll be doing lot more end-to-end projects i will also be starting group resume review session mock interviews where i will help you crack the interviews software engineering role or data scientist role i will also be conducting lot of hackathons so we conducted one hackathon and we had set out of prizes so i will be working on growing that community growing my community on discord server so my engagement on youtube will increase now that you know i have left my job and i have more time the second thing that i will be doing is this see any educational content cannot maintain a high standard unless it is backed by real life experiences so i still want to solve real life data analytics ai ml you know software engineering problem now i'm glad to announce that i founded a software company called athletic technologies with my brother few years back and i was mostly passive i was investing and i was mentoring but now that i have left my job i will be active in athletic technologies athletic technologies today is a team of 80 talented individuals these people are software engineers ux designers data scientists data experts social media experts as well so if you know any client who needs our services i can help it is my company and i'm becoming fully actively involved in this company and by doing this what will happen is when i saw a real life problem ai data analytics data engineering when we solve that real life problem the experiences that we receive from this uh solving these problems will be reflected back into my teaching content i'm also glad to announce that we have already finished some enterprise level projects for us-based clients and these projects were related to fraud detection and business intelligence so it's not like athletic is kind of new in this domain ethic has already finished few projects i'll be working on growing a data department and when i say data department it is three things bi you know power bi tableau bi business intelligence second thing uh will be ai ml neiml related projects and the third thing will be data engineering related projects so go check out atlic.com that's my company i started uh this with my brother and i'm i was passive all this time and i i'll be involved actively in this company so that's my plan number two my plan number three is i am launching this amazing platform called codebasics.io and this platform we will start initially with two video courses so i have one video course coming up which i announced a few weeks back on my channel which is learn python by solving a real life problem in healthcare domain it is a problem related to medical data extraction where you where you will be using ocr little bit of computer vision and python backend engineering will be writing some fast api-based servers end-to-end project you know so it's not like you're learning just some python api you're learning if condition and for loop and then you're like okay now what this course will be very different it's like project-based learning you start with the project and to finish the project whatever you need to learn in python i will teach you that all right so that is one course second course will be on power bi now power bi again this is a project-based learning end-to-end project-based learning as if you are doing a virtual internship in any company so this project power bi is just one aspect but you also will understand how data analytics projects are executed in this big tech companies you will understand a lot of things about project management how the meetings are conducted you will learn a lot of soft skills you will learn a lot of domain knowledge as well this will this project will be in a retail domain retail will be covering retail supply chain you know many people have been asking me how do you gain a domain knowledge well this project will help you gain a lot of domain knowledge in some of these areas and my end vision of this portal called core basics dot io would be to provide learning content which encompasses couple of factors factor number one is easy explanation you have seen in my videos and i have received many comments that the content that i have produced so far can explain you the most complex topic in a very very easy way so i will continue doing that so that people don't get under this inferiority bias they think oh it's not my cup of tea i cannot do it no i will make those things very easy to understand for you so easy to understand explanation is is going to be factor number one in the courses that i'll be producing factor number two will be this will have a lot of creativity and fun you know people love to have fun while they are learning serious topics so let me just play some cool clips where you have where we have used comics and some drama and some you know some fun elements in our course [Music] and the third thing would be a lot of practical experiences the teaching that we'll be doing will not be based on the books of course we refer to books but this will be based on the real life client projects that we are solving in athletic technologies of course i will be using my 17 years of knowledge that i gained working with big tech companies such as nvidia bloomberg i work with bloomberg for more than 12 years solved lot of cool problems related to data analytics and so on so all my learning content will backup will have backup of those experiences plus the new experiences that i'll be getting while working on even bigger problems in athletic technologies so a lot of practical experiences practical understanding end-to-end projects fun and humor and easy explanations we'll be also giving you certificates at some point i'm thinking we'll be also starting boot camps on this project so i'm full time now available so this is a good news for all of you who care who love to watch my videos now my company athletic technologies have just is breaking even and my youtube earnings are not that high like i can share that i make close to five or six thousand dollar a month and i have to pay for my video editing expenses and so on so i effectively make maybe three or four thousand dollar which is not good enough to survive in us the place where i'm living with the mortgage and so on but i have some savings so that i can survive for one year and i'm pretty sure in this one year i'm going to build something so that at least i have a financial freedom and with that financial freedom then i will be able to focus on my mission so i need support from all of you so that i can help you all i can live by my mission and although i have a lot in my plate i am super excited about this new beginning [Music]
