People listen to not just what you say and the words that come out of your mouth, but they pay close attention to how you show up and how you make them feel. Calm, confident presence isn't about acting like someone else or pretending to be calm. It's actually about training your mind and your body to show up as someone who trusts themselves every single time. A quick tip I can give you when it comes to breath work is to learn how to project your [music] energy back into your body through your breath. So there's a method that we call the 448 method where you close your eyes, you inhale for four breaths, you hold for four breaths, and you exhale for eight breaths. You do this consistently every morning, before every meeting, throughout the day, and even before bed. And you will find your nervous system relaxes. Your body when it is relaxed and calm, that is when you're able to communicate in a relaxed and calm and competent way. It's when your body is in anxiety overdrive that you're not able to communicate in a clear way. Projecting calm energy is not something that [music] you either have it or you don't. It's actually a skill and it's something that you can train.

By mastering the 4-4-8 breathing technique, you can transition from a state of internal friction to one of poised, professional authority.
