Key Takeaways
Optimizing CSS animations by removing unnecessary keyframes and utilizing the alternate property for back and forth animations
Full Transcript
if you ever have an animation like this one right here where you have repeated key frames you can actually just remove one of them and repeat them like this so I can say my zero and 100% are both the same they are so you can just do it like that and it works completely fine uh but if you're doing something like this that really is a back and forth like we're doing here where the only thing that really matters is the middle you don't even need this other one either cuz that's the default state that it was at so I can just put a 50% key frame there and it's going to work exactly the same way if you don't like this for whatever reason another choice is to make this actually a 100% key frame and then here on the animation we can also add an alternate and that just means it's first going to run forwards then it's going to run backwards from there so it just goes back and forth and looks the same though I would have to update my timing here if I wanted it to match what I had before
