Playing it safe ruins content
Skills:
Marketing Basics70%
This is how I know if someone's content will fail.
I ask them...
"If I were to show your posts to 1000 people (Within your target audience) how many would nod their head and agree with what you're saying?" "How many would already know what you're communicating to them?"
When the content is bad...it's almost 100%
What this means is you're posting "Safe" content that everyone already agrees with or knows.
And then we wonder what that content doesn't perform. hmm
It's because you're NOT saying anything. You're simply restating what people already know. Or that's obvious. Examples 👇
"The best candidates a passive" (NO sh$%)
"It takes alot of work to build a business" (Obviously)
"We believe in customer service as the backbone of our business" (Everyone believes that)
Where content really starts to drive behavior (And business/revenue) is when we share our unique POV. We peel back the curtain and show what's really going on. We take a stance on a 50/50 topic in our industry .
Having the courage to be YOU will always beat playing it safe.
