Middle School Book Recommendations/ Classroom Library

Books for your classroom library! Books to order for next school year! In this video, I will tell you about the books I read over spring break. You will want to add these books to your classroom library because of the meaningful discussions these books will provoke. Topics sure to be discussed in class will include friendship, courage, bullying, dealing with sickness, and knowing when to take a stand. You will love each of these books for different reasons. Both Starfish and Wink are excellent books to help students see the power of kind (and cruel) words on friends and family members. Both of these books will help your students have empathy for students struggling with health issues. The book by Kwame Alexander is a motivations "list" book. The list of rules for how to be successful in life is character education 101. And because the theme is related to sports, boys and girls LOVE this book. In the book City of Ghosts, an adventure involving a middle school girl, her best friend (a ghost), and an antagonist out to ruin everything! Happy Reading!!
