How to Move into Change Management

hi my name is Kirsten and I sit within project services at Hudson specializing in change management recruitment have you ever wondered what change management is or how to position yourself as the best candidate for a change manager role to tackle these questions and more i sat down with successful change management professionals to give some insight into change management so sit back and enjoy this episode of change management 101 well as an industrial organizational psychologist I started my career in management consulting with a focus on strategy and of course an organization strategic direction is very linked to the changes that business wants to realize so very early on I was supporting businesses to realize the benefits of their strategic change and then from there my consulting work moved into large-scale transformation programs here in Australia my journey into change management has been shaped by two key experiences one is my early experience in sales and business development where you had to have a really strong focus on customer experience meeting customer needs at once and secondly in my time in project delivery when I realized very early on the document success and project it doesn't lie in delivering projects to one scope on time and on budget it's actually about winning hearts and minds and it's about influencing human behavior and it's about getting people to adopt new ways of working new tech jee-in processes I decided to be a change manager as I love working on strategy creating connections collaborating knowledge sharing and co-creating with others change management allows me to do all these things whilst adding value to the organization thanks for watching change management 101 be sure to check in next week for the next episode look forward to seeing you then
