How do you build hype around a product launch or a sale that you're about to drop? This particular comment here comes from a video that I was talking specifically about building weight lists and why that is so important because you make a shitload of money. Now, depending on what you're building your weight list for, there are going to be plenty of moving parts and other platforms that will need to play that part. You're going to have other social media platforms, collaborations, your website. Anything that links back to your business as a whole should be playing part in building that weight list. Email is the one that I'm going to specifically talk about. To build hype, it obviously needs to be done before we actually launch that particular weight list or that particular product. Now, the time frame in which you build that hype in is really going to be dependent on your business, how much content that you have, how much time that you have to create this FOMO effect. I primarily work with small e-commerce businesses and find that 2 weeks is the sweet spot before launch. During this time, you're going to send a lot of emails. Maybe around 14, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. Most people actually hate me for this, but when they start doing it and they realize that it actually works and they can get a ton of people on their weight list and they make a ton of sales, then you will stop complaining. So, I teach my students what's called the ramp up effect. You're ramping up at the beginning, the launch, the announcement, sorry, of your weight list, and you're going to ramp up at the end when you get closer to launching said product. When we're in the ramp up, we could be sending anywhere between one to three emails a day. During the lull period in the middle, you can alternate between days on and days off by sending one email on day one, no email on day two, and vice versa. Now, what's actually in that content? That's for you to figure out. Sit yourself down with a notepad and ask yourself what would excite you if you weren't in your own business and you were looking at your own product. What would be the information that you want to hear about the launch of this product? What makes it so exciting? How can you break that up into little bite-sized bits of information to entice people to get onto a weight list? And that's it.
