10 things no one tells you about growing a business to $1 million a year.
1. You can’t do everything yourself. As much as you want to it’s not possible. A house can’t be build in a timely manner by one person.
2. Processes help you scale. This is what keeps the machine running smoothly. Without them things will break.
3. Speaking of breaking, something is going to break at some point. It’s called growing pains.
4. Ad campaigns are like gas on a fire. If you want to really scale your business fast ad campaigns are a great way to do it.
5. You need to know your numbers, CAC, LTV, Net Profit, etc
6. Making $1 million a year is just math. It’s $83,333 a month, $19,231 a week and $2,740 a day.
7. Referrals are great, but you need to have amazing service to get them.
8. Use Upsells as much as possible. It helps increase your average order value and makes you look like an authority because you’re helping your customer.
9. You’re going to have to reinvest into the business to grow. Equipment, staff, ads, etc if you want to get to the next level.
10. When scaling think about it more like building a beautiful house brick by brick to withstand anything, not a rocket ship to do it as quickly as possible.
