Dr. Christa Albrecht-Crane is Professorof English at Utah Valley University, specializing in critical and cultural theory, cultural studies, and writing studies. Her current focus is on the impact of generative AI on education. She has presented nationally and internationally on the topic and posts regularly on her Substack, “Writing Off Code.” Albrecht-Crane holds a baccalaureate degree from the University of Munich in Germany; an MA in American Studies from Washington State University, and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University.  Library Futures is the vanguard nonprofit organization uncovering and confronting the fundamental policy issues that threaten libraries in the digital age.
