foreign hey there today we are going to be exploring social learning humans are social animals in fact we've been using social learning for thousands of years to create build and teach what is social learning social learning is the active process of learning by observing and interacting with others in fact according to the 70 2010 model social learning makes up 20 of everything that we learn and this makes an essential part of any well-rounded training program the social learning approach can strengthen your learning communities they can create a thriving knowledge economy and ultimately drive better productivity across your organization after all humans are social animals and We crave connection social learning caters to this by bringing your learners together and making learning more fun in addition you can cultivate a knowledge sharing culture where Learners share their knowledge effectively this of course means that others get to learn from real life experiences and see Concepts from various viewpoints and by sharing our knowledge Learners also contribute to user-generated content that you can use in your formal training programs so how do we go about applying social learning social learning happens in a variety of contexts it could materialize from observation of co-workers casual water cooler conversations or from actively engaging in discussions and sharing expertise however there are also various features that help you to really cater your social learning within your organization these include things that could be hosted on your learning Technology Solutions such as forums discussion groups one-on-one messaging live streaming expert zones collaborative games and such the key is to make social learning accessible to all but provide different areas for knowledge sharing use focused learning groups to encourage Learners to share their Insight on a particular subject or topic use social fees to really celebrate where you've seen learning successes or learning being applied so by incentivizing social activity you can really boost social learning and keep motivations at high levels so in summary whilst social learning might not be a good fit for every organization it is a great learning initiative it is remarkably effective and if you're able to create this thriving Learning Community powered by social learning there really is no end to what you can achieve together as we say in growth engineering learning is better when we do it together thank you
