Explains active listening as a certified coach and mom

Full Transcript

There are three levels of listening. There's level one, level two, and level three. As a client, you're usually in your level one. So, you're only thinking about all your thoughts. Now, you're you're interviewing me. You're thinking about the next question. You're in your head. So, that's level one is basically in yourself in your head. Level two is basically me listening to what you're saying, but not necessarily to the exact words you're saying only, but also to the energy you're delivering. So, you can't say, "Yeah, I'm happy." So like the way you're saying it, the choice of words, the energy that's coming from your movement as well, how you're saying it. So how you're resonant, your eyes are showing up or are they dumb? What's your voice like? So there's a lot of aspects to that. Level three is that the room. So when we entered this room today, for example, it was so so bright and shiny and all of that gave that really good vibe, you know. So that vibe in the room is where we say it's level three. So it's like the hole.
