These researchers discovered a vulnerability in the great firewall, coined Walllbleed. From 2021 to 2024, they silently listened in on the great firewall, successfully capturing over 5 billion pieces of traffic from Chinese censorship infrastructure. We also cover an extremely recent, unrelated document and source code leak. This is the largest leak in the history of the great firewall, and among the most severe leaks coming out of any country, nation state, or organization. It gave us concrete, undeniable proof that china's censorship and surveillance apparatus is being packaged into a commercial product, and sold to other countries around the world.
