Hi, I'm Carli Levane with the Legal Tech Fund. Since the latest Pathways report came out, I've been thinking about what does it mean to me? Well, the first thing I thought of is I've got a 5-year-old today. In 15 years, she will be 20 and we'll be thinking about if she wants to go to law school. if and I have no idea what law school will look like at that time, but I'm sure we'll be having that conversation. A few things that stood out to me from the pathways report. One, that the role of the attorney is not shrinking, but it's growing. that it's not limited to legal work, but attorneys are being asked broader questions, strategic questions, financial questions, well beyond traditional legal work. Another thing that stood out to me was the codification of legal documents. So thinking about legal documents not as a stack of paper but as a software tool as something that can be chunked up and studied and compared uh a a data set rather than traditional print out of paper. Another thing that stood out to me from the pathways was the importance going forward of the soft skills that training will change. How we the reps that lawyers need will change because there will be AI tools to better train lawyers faster. But training on the the soft skills, the client management, the internal stakeholder management that will not go away. So, give the uh the links to the pathways reports are all below. Please read them and let me know what you think and what they mean for my 5-year-old in 15 years and what her potential legal career could be.
