Stop checking your Google Ads daily

I know how tempting it is to log in every morning to see how your campaigns are performing, but I want to encourage you to step away from the dashboard. Checking your Google Ads every day is a lot like weighing yourself every hour while trying to lose weight; you are mostly just seeing noise. Daily fluctuations are completely normal in the auction, and if you react to those tiny shifts, you run a high risk of over-optimizing and actually hurting your long-term results. Here is the schedule I recommend following based on your role: For Agencies: It is fine to look at the data daily to ensure everything is running smoothly, but I suggest you avoid making optimization changes more than once a week unless you are managing a massive budget. For Business Owners: If your account is already in a steady groove, you can likely move to a weekly check-in and only implement strategy changes on a monthly basis. For New Campaigns: When you first launch, feel free to monitor daily for the first 48 hours just to ensure the ads are serving and nothing is broken. After that, let the data accumulate before you touch anything. By giving your campaigns room to breathe, you allow the algorithm to find its footing and provide you with more reliable data to base your decisions on.
