If you want to come in person, we invite you to the Dynatrace Austria Engineering Headquarter at Am Fรผnfundzwanziger Turm 20, 4020 Linz. *** ๐Ÿ“… Schedule ๐Ÿ“ฃ Welcome and Introduction Rust Linz Organizers 5:30pm CEST We will start the night with the usual welcome round and some community news. *** ๐Ÿ“ฃ lychee - writing a fast, async link checker in Rust by Matthias Endler 5:40 pm CEST For the last two years, I worked on lychee, a new link checker which supports Markdown, HTML, and more. It heavily uses async Rust and has a focus on performance. During the session, I will talk about the challenges of writing a link checker and how Rust was the ideal language for this project. The key takeaway is that simple things can get complex very quickly and that the Rust ecosystem allows building high-performance CLI tools with relative ease. โ„น๏ธ About Matthias Endler (Rust consultant at corrode) Matthias Endler is a Rust developer and Open Source maintainer. He built popular Rust crates like tinysearch, hyperjson, and lychee. He spoke at conferences such as FOSDEM in Brussels, Cod{e}motion in Amsterdam, and BrisTech in Bristol.
