Quick Tip Friday - Create Custom Map Icons

foreign [Music] map whether that's a world map or a custom map you may want to show your pins on that map in different colors or with different icons dynamically based off the situation so to do that you're going to use a format Rule and you can use a you know multiple format rules if you want but more specifically to address that icon itself you're going to for that format rule select the field itself that is the X Y or lat long or address field that you're um that are is being used to show a location on the map so you'll choose that as your um what you select in this and then you can come down here to have that icon change based off of whatever condition you put up here in the field as well in addition to that you could also do you know the colors and and other things like that so that's how you'd go about changing and improving the past the default icons on the map view itself [Music]
